Location was pretty good, was about a 7min walk to Kawaguchiko station (but does seem like forever if you have big/lots of heavy luggage). The pathway to walk there can be pretty narrow & has lots of grooves on the ground which makes it harder to handle suitcases, so just take note! In the same regard, if you book the quadruple room, there's 2, 1 on the 1st floor, and another on the 2nd floor. Staff was so kind & actually lifted our bags upstairs for us, and explained the upstairs room is better since its quieter. He also let us check-in really early! The official check-in time is 4pm but i arrived around 12:45pm & we completed the check-in process quickly in the room. Check out is also very simple, if you have prepaid everything already, you can just leave anytime before 10am. But since we required assistance with our luggage we still let the staff know. Staff is also super helpful, we asked him about the shibazakura festival & he even called the organisers to confirm some details etc. He communicated via the chat in the booking.com app & his english was pretty good! He also provides maps & information about surrounding attractions & restaurants etc which was a pleasant surprise. The room itself is very spacious, and the decor is very chic yet homely. The bathroom has both a bath & an area for you to shower in. They also provided a mirror, stool & bucket to experience how Japanese people usually bathe. Has a microwave, sink area, utensils & crockery, 2 large bins, and an area to hang clothes & place bags. We stayed for 3 nights, and since they don't service the rooms, they provided 3 day's worth of towels & amenities etc. From the balcony & front of the accommodation you can see mount fuji on clear days! Its also fairly close to familymart convenience store & a 24hr pharmacy. There's a laundry service available but we didn't use it so not sure how it works/ how good it is.

Although it was quieter being upstairs, on our final night there were some guests on the same floor that were a bit noisy and were moving around a fair bit which we could hear very clearly. The upstairs quadruple room is also located right next to the roadside so when trucks go by, you can hear & feel the vibrations quite clearly. That being said, they do provide earplugs which was an absolute life saver for me since i'm a light sleeper. Small feedback would be to put a full length mirror or another mirror in the room somewhere. If there were 4 girls staying in the room, it would take hours for everyone to get ready with just the 2 small mirrors in the bathroom haha Another small thing is that the fridge doesn't have a freezer section! So make sure not to buy too much icecream!

This hotel was wonderful! The staff was incredibly helpful, and went above and beyond to help us when we left some important items behind. The rooms were sparkling clean and spacious and the apartment style provided everything we could need. The laundry facility was wonderful and easy to use and complimentary. The location is fantastic, a short walk from Kawaguchiko station and the lake, with a Family Mart next door and two supermarkets within a 10 min walk. We spent half our stay at a nearby fancy 'traditional' hotel and wished we had spent our entire stay at Jinya. We could not have been happier with this hotel- we highly recommend it!

Everything was perfect!

Jinya is located very closed to the Kawaguchiku bus station which makes going there from Tokyo and also sightseeing in the area very convenient. Host sent an earlier text before arrival before noon that room was ready for check-in & when we arrived host (excellent host) & room were well ready. The sight of Mt Fuji could be viewed just outside the entrance of the hotel. Room is spacious, comfortable & super clean. Complimentary storage of our luggages after checkout was an added bonus 😀👍. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Jinya and Kawaguchiku very much. Highly recommended to stay there!

We love the cozy atmosphere of the room. Even though it's small, it had everything we needed for a 2 nite stay. As we are all of Asian size, we had no problems with the size of the room, beds and restrooms. We didn't hv any good view though, but we were able to see the majestic Mnt Fuji as we stepped out of the hotel. Family Mart is just a stone throw away and a cute Tempura restaurant can be found along the way to Kawaguchiko town. So, going to places around the area was fun and very manageable. Chika, the house resident was friendly and greeted us with charming hospitality. We really enjoyed our stay at Jinya and would love to go back to this place again one day in the future. Thank you Jinya😍

Navigating ourselves to Jinya from the station was a little confusing at first as we underestimated the distance especially when we had to drag our heavy bags along. The map looked like it was really near to the station, lol. It took us around 15 to 20 min. However, after knowing the place, the distance wasn't actually that bad. 🤩Walking without the bags to and from the station took us only around 7 to 10 min.

It is a niche botquie hotel. Amazing space - very clean, welcoming, spacious, had a small kitchen and lot of amenities and supplies. The host on site was very responsive and accomodative. The place was easy to find and 5mins walk from main train and bus station with lot of resturant and convenience store options. Best value for money with comfort and easy access. This added to our mount fuji experience. Thanks!

A huge studio apartment which is rare to find in japan! Being able to see Mt fuji at the end of the street is mesmerising. Great location in a quiet spot where you can easily walk or cycle to main parts of the area! The hosts were incredibly welcoming and attention to detail orientated. They easily put two beds together so we could have a queen bed!

The fridge constantly made an awfully lound noise we had to switch it off over night however I'm sure if we had raised it whilst we were there the hosts would have addressed the issue! A toaster also would've been great!

Excellent location, 5 mins walk from Kawaguchiko Station. The lovely hosts are extremely friendly and accommodating, they even had our room ready for an earlier check-in. Our room's decor was beautiful and tasteful, spotless and comfortable, every little detail for the guest had been thought of. Our ground floor room had a delightful little balcony and the street it opened onto is quiet. There is a convenience store between the hotel and the Station. Mt Fuji was not visible from our room but we only had to step outside the front door and look left and there it was so there were plenty of photo opportunities right at the doorstep! A lovely hotel in a lovely town.

Quiet location away from the crowds but yet walkable <10mins to the Kawaguchi train station. There is a Family Mart nearby, and a Lawson and 7-11 on the way to the train station. I am very appreciative of the reception staff who helped process the application form to forward my luggage to the next hotel which went very smoothly.

The room was large and comfortable for a family of 3. Everything was clean and arranged neatly. The furnishings were comfy and of decent quality. Free parking is available. About a 10mins walk to the station, with luggages for family of 3. The staff were friendly, kind and helpful. Recommended if you're visiting Kawaguchiko.

Water heater is finicky as it's a gas heater. But that's my personal preference. It works well nonetheless.

This is a really lovely room for a family. We have two sons and we loved it. Coffee and tea. Kettle and a microwave. Really comfortable table setting. Super clean. Pyjamas 🤗 Our host was lovely and took the time to suggest restaurants for us. We were there to walk up Mt Fuji and we were also assisted to book a car to get us to the starting point. I couldn’t recommend this lovely little hotel more highly. It’s was also lovely that we could see Fuji-san from the window :)
