2br apartment was great size and spotlessly clean. Very comfortable for our party of 4 (one couple two singles) and the shower pressure was amazing - we had a great stay. Offered transfers by the property morning and afternoon were good to either Sakka or Evergreen at Happo, and on arrival they did a shopping run for us (drop off on request and pick up about an hour later).

No walk up dining options immediately near (needing to book a few days in advance) aside from some outside food trucks (too cold to sit at in minus temps!) and general demand for taxis around Hakuba (they are difficult to get) meant that dining out anywhere was a little more challenging than expected (but that’s not the fault of the property).

Great spot for skiing, near the Sakka lifts at Happo One. Room was big and warm, lovely forest/Mountain View. Free shuttle bus to most of the local lifts and into town for dinner (not home though). Walking distance to at heady half a dozen restaurants plus a cute little food truck/igloo stop (have the fireball hot toddy 👌). Onsen at the hotel is a real treat after skiing (NB traditional, single sex, naked). Only downsides for us were a limited breakfast that occasionally included broccoli 🤨, the dining room wasn’t connected to the main building so had to go out in the snow (changing shoes in the process), and that that bar was closed (which says more about me than the hotel to be honest). Overall, I’d definitely go back.

The support offered to me before and during my stay at the Hotel was beyond my expectations! I asked questions night and day and the hosted were always very willing to help me in any way they could. Very friendly, very sociable, courteous and always helpful. Just wonderful! It really helped make my stay one to remember. I also liked the onsen, the hotels location, the shuttle service, and the room with 3 single beds. One really nice thing was the hot pot event on Christmas eve, very generous serving size (we couldn't finish it!). The proximity of the Hotel to the snow is exceptional. In a good session, I believe it's ski-in, ski-out for intermediate to advanced skiers, and the Sakka lift is 2 or doors down the road.

The building itself is a little worn with a few odd stains but overall still in good condition. The sugar sticks are rock solid (not that that bother my daughter who loved that way). The clothes washing facility was a little difficult to operate since the machine's instructions were only in Japanese. The other I didn't like is that I couldn't stay longer!

Located in a tranquil forest, the vintage hotel was very cozy and had a homey atmosphere. The staff members were all very friendly and helpful. The hotel accommodated all of our requests (including ad hoc ones) and was very easy to communicate with. The breakfast was simple, yet hearty and tasty. The pick-up and drop-off services they provided made moving around Hakuba Village much less troublesome. The room was comfortable and while basic, came with everything one would need and expect.

The hotel is a bit remote so it's not recommended for people looking to stay near where all the popular restaurants, bars and shops are, although the hotel does provide drop-off service to the village centre. The restroom at the hotel lobby was a bit dirty but that was a small issue.

Our stay was very comfortable with a good heating system at the 3 bedroom apartment. There is a living/dining area with an open concept kitchen complete with electric hob microwave fridge dishwasher and own washer/dryer. Joanie at the reception was very helpful with our request for the Black Cat luggage delivery arrangements to our onward hotel. The experienced drivers were very prompt in driving the skiers to the slopes and bus terminals. Our family had a very enjoyable ski holiday at Wadano Forest Hakuba and we would recommend this apartment stay.

Wadano Forest Apartments are large and self-contained. The staff were extremely helpful in many ways and made our stay outstanding. The location was excellent for our family to enjoy the skiing and boarding close by. The restaurant food was simple but very tasty.

The ski in ski out track was totally covered by the heavy snow falls.

Room was large. Bed was comfortable. Was a 5 min walk to the chair lift. Few restaurants walking distance. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Was a bit dated, and they never replaced or cleaned the coffee mugs in our room. But that said, I never asked either. Coffee was way too strong at breakfast and I like strong coffee!

Joanie and her team were extremely hospitable. We have a large group (18 adults and 3 kids) but Joanie managed to accommodate all our requests such as pick-up and drop-off to ski resorts and gear rental / return. We also enjoyed the lounge and onsen in hotel, it was great to go to onsen and play switch / board game with friends in a cozy lounge after skiing. We had a great time and will come back again.

We occasionally see bugs and spiders in our rooms. This is acceptable given it's in the mountain area.

Apartment was spacious and clean. Lots of appliances including dishwasher. Two bathrooms which was great as some places only have 1

Excellent location for skiing. Food was good. Shuttle bus good though can walk to ski slope in 10 -15 min. Restaurants close by.
