Shuttle to the stations was quite convenient. You're able to take your luggage in and take the Shinkansen from Shin Kobe when you're leaving, or vice versa. Or just hop on to the city and back. Portliner monorail is also an option outside the shuttle hours. Uber into town is not too expensive either. It is a proper hotel but older, and it shows in the decor which is not necessarily bad as it is maintained. Cleaners wait til you leave for the day to clean the room.

Older hotel, so not as flashy. Every extra thing costs too much, dinner wasn't amazing at Soco, but breakfast was good. Way more expensive for what you get though. Air conditioning was quite weak during our stay at level 15.

Breakfast in the main building level 30 was good and excellent view. Elevators for south wing were very fast, never waited more than 10 seconds for elevator to arrive. Supermarket two blocks north was convienient for drinks and food. Had balcony - fresh air in room is good. Close to Portliner station.

No room safe. South wing room was facing dog park across the road - so be prepared to listen to dogs fighting... a lot. Motorbikes hooning around for hours in late evening. Nothing to see/do in the immediate area, it's just convention centres, residential area and some industrial areas around edge of the island.

The breakfast was so tasty. I really liked that there were three options buffet on 30th floor, on Sunday the Teppanyaki set enabled me to try Kobe beef otherwise very expensive. It was a memorable moment. The staff were so polite although I couldn’t speak Japanese well they wer anticipating what I could be possibly looking for. Is also went once to Cafe Socco for dinner in the evening the curry and dessert selection was really tasty. I liked the bedroom with drawers and cupboard to fit in all my belongings. The view was beautiful. Although not in the center of Kobe it is easily accessible with the portliner. As a tourist I could use the three days Kansai railway pass to go to Osaka, Kyoto and my favorite place, the Biwa-ko otsukan, and I wouldn’t be too tired in the evening and have seen the pretty cherry blossom. I regret not having been able to stay for a week, Nunobiki garden in Kobe with Veranda cafe in tropical gardens is just splendid. I enjoyed tooth tooth cakestore in Kobe, the hotel and the city surroundings are really a beautiful place to stay in Japan.

At this stage, there is really nothing I could complain about. I was very happy with my stay.

The shuttle bus is convenient, and the check-in process is fast, room is clean and with enough space, a sofa that can be as a bed for one more family or friends. The fragrance of shampoo is good. The location is closed to the Animal Kingdom (Zoo), and this is the major point when we looking for the hotel around Kobe. We asked for help for a pair of chopsticks, and it be send to the room right away, good service. I would consider this hotel for next visit in Kobe city.

Not much dislike, even though the telephone and washroom countertop looks like with a little years, however, we are not the fancy guy, we like clean and tidy, so this is not really a thing for me.

Incredible value for 5 star elegant hotel Staff are all very proper and polite. Luggage free storage service was available on request , limited within one month even after check out. Very spacious room which is rare to find as the Japanese standard. Could stay longer even after 4 nights spent.

Bit far from the centre around 15 min but provide a free shuttle bus service in every 20 min interval(00,20,40) , but finish by 10 pm. It is still ok with using the port liner, but just easy hopping in the free service. No tea bags…not sure why not but you can ask the room service

Convenient hotel location, delicious breakfast

In our room the shower head had poor water pressure. Poor sound insulation, we couldn’t sleep from laughter and loud conversations in the next room.

The hotel has a free shuttle bus to and from Kobe train station and this is very convenient. The breakfast on the 30th floor was excellent; delicious food and a gorgeous view over the harbour. The staff, without exception, were courteous and friendly.

Very little. The hotel is on an island, a little of the mainland, and one needs to catch the Portliner train to go into town for shopping. But the Portliner is inexpensive and runs frequently, so this is really not a big deal.

The lobby is grand and beautiful with nice staff greeting and ready to assist. The rooms are spacious enough for 4 pax, it has a small balcony as well. There are complimentary bottled water, coffee, and green tea provided. They also have free shuttle bus to Sannomiya and Shin-Kobe station.

Toilet in rooms are quite old, there's a small leak by the flush. Shower/bath area is also a bit old and drainage is not so good (the free shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are good tho). Room is way too hot despite adjusting temp to 18°C. Parking is separate payment, 800 yen. Some amenities are closed and/or exclusive. They didn't have onsen for guests, i think it's separate payment.

the room is spacious. it is bigger than those in downtown Kobe. Also our room has a balcony which we can get fresh air and enjoy the nice view. The hotel is not in downtown but they provide free shuttle to get there which is a plus. The price is very reasonable. The hotel is close to the Kobe Animal Kingdom and you can get discounted tickets at the front desk. The hotel is also close to the Bay Shuttle pier and right now foreigners can purchase the ferry ticket at 500 yen per person which is a huge discount. The ferry goes from Kobe to Kansai airport (and vice versa). The hotel is also one of the stops of the Kobe City Loop bus and you can buy the bus pass at the front desk so super convenient. The staff is very helpful and polite. My parents and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and we enjoyed our stay.

The carpet has stain on it. It didn't bother us much as we understand that the hotel is a bit old.

The hotel and the staff were very professional. I felt like I was in a luxury hotel with how it looks and the size of the room I had. It was a very good price. The housekeeping system was very good. The room vas very spacious. I even got help bringing my luggage to my floor. The location is very close to Sannomiya station which is a major shopping area there. They even have a family mart on the ground level which is convenient.

The times you can send your luggage for transport is very limited. The times are 8-5PM. I had to wait till 8PM to send out my luggage when I wanted to do something early in the morning. Other hotels allow you to come down and send out luggage whenever you want.
