Semi great location for my purposes as it has enough connections to the places that matter for me. Ie Akihabara, Tsukiji, Ginza etc. all are single train rides away with either the Odeo line or the Tsukuba express. The station is only 2mins walk away and has lifts to get to the train (something not all stations in Tokyo has especially for Travellers with luggage) Staff were friendly and the room has all the amenities you need.

There is ONLY 1 lift for the entire hotel so during checkout time you could be waiting for upwards of 10 to 20mins to get on the lift to get out of the hotel. Which can be avoided if you wake up early or go out later avoiding the 9-10am window

The location was great, between three metro stations all serving various lines around Tokyo. It was easy to get to Shibuya, central Asakusa or further afield from the stations. The room was small, as is typical in Japan, but they were economical about space and I could easily store my luggage under/at the foot of the bed. Cleaning staff also came daily to remove trash and replace any towels as needed. I had a great night's sleep here - it was totally dark and quiet. The laundry room was on the ground floor next to reception which was good as they policed this well to ensure no guest was hogging the machines with their clothes. I availed of the luggage forwarding service and staff were extremely helpful to me in organising this, they printed my label and explained clearly how it would work. Recommended!

Everything was great!

The room provides shampoo, conditioner, other toiletries, bottled waters, a hairdryer, fridge, and even fresh sets of towels & sleepwear everyday. There are multiple charging outlets and the television serves as FAQs for guests as it has a guide as well as reminders about your booking/stay. Despite the room being small, I could still easily store 3 large suitcases underneath the bed. The staff are all very much nice and helpful. They try their best to answer all my queries and help me out if needed. The hotel lets you store you luggage before check-in for free and has Airporter (luggage delivery). There is one vending machine at the lobby and two coin laundry machines. I wasn't able to take much pictures of the room and hotel but the official photos from the website are real and enough as reference.

There are few restaurant options nearby and only two nearby convenience stores that are about 4-minute walks. Another thing to note is that there is only one elevator for the whole place and it can get a bit cramped.

Location is good if you know what you're doing - unfortunately I did not plan ahead so I wound up spending a lot of time on trains getting to the places I want to go the days I stayed here, and then wound up returning to the nearby area after I moved hotels 🥴 But it's well located for shopping in Ueno or Kappabashi or checking out Akihabara. I was able to use the laundry facility with no trouble. Room was small and functional. Looks like they have a teishoku breakfast but I didn't try it. The room and bathroom were small but functional; solid budget business hotel. Staff was helpful when I needed anything!

There wasn't any place to sit and work or plan your activities if the restaurant was closed.

The hotel had an attached Restaurant that was open for breakfast but we did not use it. It had coffee/tea facilities in the room. There is a paid laundry, Ice dispenser, shared microwave and a drink vending machine on the 1st Floor (Ground Floor) Not much interaction with the staff but the one time I needed help, they were very good. They did speak English. There are convenience stores and restaurants close by. The train station is close by, within walking distance. Rooms do have mini fridges. Rooms & bathrooms are small, as is typical of budget hotels in Japan. They do hold luggage for you so you can go sightseeing after checkout and they also hold luggage for you in advance of check in

As is typical in budget hotels in Japan, room was small, so for two people and luggage, room space is at a premium.

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel, which is ideally located just a short walk from Ueno Station. The convenient location made exploring the area and accessing transportation very easy. The rooms are compact, but this was expected, and the hotel compensates well with thoughtful amenities and excellent soundproofing, ensuring a comfortable and restful stay. I booked two rooms, and the double beds comfortably fit two people each, making it suitable for couples or solo travelers. It's a great choice for a short stay of one or two nights, especially given the abundance of restaurants and convenience stores nearby. Overall, a reliable and convenient option for visitors looking to stay near Ueno.

Hotel location is good. 2min to Oedo line. 4 min to Ginza line. If you like to walk you can visit Asakusa, Ueno, Akihabara by walk. Just 1-2 stations far from hotel. Direct access to Shibuya with Ginza line and to shinjuku with Oedo line. Hotel staff' are very kind. They know English. If you ask something, they listen carefully. If you don't understand their answer cause of their accent, they tell you by write. They were always smiling ☺️ Room is clean. My handprints on the table were cleaned everyday. There is an universal plug, and usb output for charging. There is coin a laundry on the first floor. And also they have restaurant. But i didn't use. I just expected to sleep in a clean room. And also location is the middle of the tourist attraction places. They are exceeded my expectations.

Stayed at APA Hotel near Ueno Station and had a nice experience. The location is ideal—just a few blocks away from the busy streets, making it a quiet and peaceful place to rest while still being close to everything. The hotel provides all the basic amenities, and everything was clean and well-maintained. Additionally, there’s a 7-Eleven just a five-minute walk away, which is super convenient for snacks, drinks, or any essentials. A reliable choice for a stay in Ueno

While the hotel’s location and overall cleanliness are commendable, there are a few drawbacks worth noting. There’s only one elevator available, which becomes a little inconvenience during peak hours as it takes a long time to reach your room. I tried using the stairs once, but they seem to be reserved exclusively for emergencies. Additionally, the bed felt a bit short—taller guests might find that their feet extend off the edge, leading to an uncomfortable night’s sleep.

Overall was a great experience. I was comfortable and had ease speaking with staff. They were kind and accommodating. Location had convenient stores nearby as well as a 24hr Sukiya. Neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. Location also really close by stations. Great for commuters.

There is only one elevator for all floors. The staff were courteous enough to mention the busy elevator times. But if there could be any adjustment, it would just be another elevator. And possibly more seating for lobby area. Not as important, but there is only one microwave in the whole facility. So when everyone wants to warm up their konbini food, there will be a line. But that's still not a huge con since you can warm up your food at the Konbini too.

Wonderful hotel with amazing service! APA Hotel Asakusa Shin-Okachimachi Ekimae exceeded our expectations. The staff was extremely kind and helpful – always ready to assist with anything. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. One of the biggest advantages is the baggage courier service – you can easily send your suitcases to the airport directly from the hotel, which saved us so much hassle! Especially convenient for late evening flights. Highly recommended – we’ll definitely come back!
