My only minor gripe was the washer/dryer combo; the inability to adjust the wash temperature limited what I could clean, and the coin-operated dryer was a bit inconvenient. Oh, and the two massage chairs on the same floor didn’t work nor did they have signs stating so.

The hotel is really close to Kyoto station and the breakfast buffet was amazing! Staff were professional and courteous and I really enjoyed the availability of the public bath and the operational hours (6am - 1am). The hotel room television screen has a guide for how crowded/busy it will be which is a bonus. Beds were comfortable as well. The reading lounge area was nice with complimentary green tea, coffee and water which was perfect to start our day.

On each night, the staff typically leaves a bag on the bed for use with the public bath. Unfortunately on our first night, we found a used bag on our bed with someone's underwear and tampon still in it! It was quite disturbing! A few of the coin-op washing/dryer machines would not dry well, leaving the clothes still wet/damp. There were 4+ other folks waiting for their clothes to dry as well late in the evening, so the entire process took many 5+ hours to complete, and even then the clothes were still left damp. The manager apologized deeply for the inconvenience but hoping they fix the machines to dry better for future guests.

Location right next to Kyoto station, shops, convenience store, food. Big extra plus - bathhouse, and comfortable beds. Stayed with teen in two double bed room. Not much room around bedding but was adequate for overnight stay with 3 big suitcases. Bathhouse immaculately cleaned and huge! Gym was adequate for a small exercise. Staff friendly but not everyone comfortable with English. Overall very easy, comfortable and practical place to stay. Nicely styled and great free coffee in the shared room downstairs. Didn't have breakfast. Luggage storage a huge plus.

This is our second time staying in this hotel and we love it! The location is everything - it is near the JR Kyoto station, which has a lot of eateries and restaurants. Bus terminal is also nearby. The room is clean and the beds are comfortable. Room is bigger than usual japan standard. The lounge is extremely useful. We could get free drinks such as coffee, matcha latte and hot milk. Will definitely come back here again whenever we are in Kyoto.

Room was spacious and clean. Super close to kyoto station which made going out everyday so easy and convenient!

The washing machine is two in one so it both washes your clothes and dries them but not very well. So be warned when trying to dry certain things that you might need to air dry them after the fact.

I was alone waiting for friends to arrive. I booked Triple room by mistake. 3 small single beds. As it was busy season they would not change the room for one bigger bed. Front desk staff were very cold and no customer service. Only one of the staff who had lived in UK was friendly and kind. The room was very expensive- first night NZ$700.

My family and I LOVED this hotel. First of all, the breakfast is INCREDIBLE. I highly recommend getting it included with your stay. Located conveniently close to the JR station, so ideal if you're using Kyoto as a home-base to then visit close by areas like Kobe, Osaka, and Nara. Unfortunately I was not able to enjoy the on-site onsen (as I have many tattoos), but other members of my family did and greatly enjoyed it. If you have tattoos and want to enjoy a sento the nearby enough "Ume-yu" is foreigner and tattoo friendly. I would gladly stay in this hotel again for the breakfast alone; that's not to say the staff, beds, and location weren't good (they were), but that the breakfast is just that good.

Nice and clean room. The location was near Kyoto station. Breakfast was good. Laundromat within premises makes it easier to access.

Overall the staff were very friendly. Except for one particular staff who was a little rude when our child was fussing during breakfast. He came over to tell him off when he’s only 1 year old n would not understand anything. Could have been more understanding towards children

This is a fantastic hotel! One of the best I've stayed at in Japan. It's perfect for the Kyoto tourist- great location just a short walk from the train station, good-sized room, excellent breakfast buffet. The bathroom was one of the biggest I've had at a Japanese hotel - WC, shower room with tub and sink were all in their separate area (unlike the typical "template" mini-bathrooms with a step up). The facilities were excellent, especially the lounge with free coffee and iced drinks. I loved the pajamas. Can't say enough good things about this hotel. And of course, the staff were great.

There's nothing not to like about this hotel, in my opinion.
