The location is within the business district but just a 10 mins away from the Hisaya Odori station which is 3 stations or 15mins away to Nagoya Station. It is also 15 mins walk to the Chubu Electrical Tower or Mirae Tower, very near Oasis 21 as well. There are 2 nearby convenience stores, 711, Lawson and Family Mart, near Starbucks and the Komeda Cafe. I also am very happy with the way the staff assisted us and some of them can speak English.There is one lady which I missed to ask for her name who is very friendly and warm. The best part of the stay is the amenity Onsen or Japan hot bath which is included in the accomodation. At the end of a tiring day, this relaxes your body. Overall, I would book them again when I come back to Nagoya.

None really

It is near the subway access. It was along a straight road going to the big shopping areas. If you can walk 2-4 kilometers it is just one straight line. The hotel branch has spa/onsen and coin laundry.

There was limited coin laundry. Only 2 washer and 2 dryer so if it is a peak season then that will be a problem. Pls add more coin laundry machines. You are also not able to change the aircon from heat or cold. This time it is set on Hot only. We just had to open the window to let the cold air in ad well as the car/ motorcycle noise outside every night.

They save my life from the fire. One machine in the restaurant started to smoke. And the system worked quite well. I am not panicking. Nobody else too. Firefighter arrived immediately and solved the problem and they checked everything. Next day I can see nothing and I didn't smell smoke. So the hotel staff is a really good team and they can proud themselves 😎.

The sixth announcement was in english, only the fire alarm and panic sound I thought that something bad thing was happening.

The APA hotel had a lot more facilities than what you would see at other APA hotels. This one had a hot tub and a coin laundry machine. Also, compared to a lot of APA hotels I have stayed at in the past, it doesn't only have one elevator for the whole hotel. The staff helped with all your requests, the location was near a lot of major attractions, and the onsen was very comfortable to go into every day. The space underneath the bed is perfect for luggage for someone traveling alone.

There is not much to say in terms of not liking anything. This is an issue with a lot of APA hotels but the bathroom sink is a very inconvenient size. You feel it barely has space between the wall which can make anything you want to do in the bathroom feel very cramped.

The room was very small even by Japanese standards but it was quiet and dark which made for a good nights sleep. The hotel is in a good location and a short distance from the subway and it's also walking distance to Nagoya Castle. My main reason for being in Nagoya was to visit Inuyama Castle and the hotel was in a convenient position to do this trip as a couple of subway stations were needed. The staff were very helpful and buffet breakfast was available.

I really enjoyed the excellent location of APA Hotel Nagoya Sakae Kita, which made it easy for us to walk to nearby attractions like Nagoya Castle and Sakae. The hotel was clean, had a convenient public bath, and offered a smooth smart check-in process along with helpful luggage services.

However, the rooms were quite small, and we had difficulty opening two suitcases at the same time. It's fine if you are a couple bu I travelled with a friend so we have to work around things a bit. Overall, not too bad.

The room is small but very cozy and well equipped. You can feel the APA formula is something very mastered by them as everything is very automated in every direction (each room has its own SSID for the wifi, that is dynamically displayed on the TV etc). There is an onsen that is very soothing. If you're in research of an occidental-like hotel then APA will definitely provide it, with a constancy of service usually very good from one hotel to the next one (it's the "zero surprise" option, neither good nor bad). There is a free (for customers of the hotel) service to hold your luggage during the day if you arrive before check-in time or if you plan to leave the city after check-out but don't want to keep your luggage with you during the day.

The TV is in Japanese when you arrive and it's a bit unintuitive to put it in English. The room has a "power switch" requiring to put the key in it in order to get electricity at all, which is good for the environment but means you cannot leave something charging while you leave the room. There are 3 elevators in the building but when the check-out time approaches they are very demanded which can lead to difficulties going down, expetially if you're in a floor located in the middle of the hotel. There are some distributors in the hotel, which is good, but they are located only on certain floors (2, 7 and 12).

Good location and facilities. I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to cast shows from my phone into the TV giving me more options for things to watch on TV.

Not a complaint. Just an observation. I made the mistake of booking a smoking room instead of non-smoking and although the room itself is fine, the smell in the hallway can be quite strong. This is completely my own fault though so I'm still rating my stay as 9 as I had a superb one.

We stayed for a long weekend and were happy with our hotel choice. It's was very close to the subway so extremely convenient for getting around quickly. Everyone on the staff from front desk to cleaning crew were cheerful and kind. My husband especially enjoyed breakfast, lots of regional options- I am a vegetarian and there was just enough meat-free options (rice, salad, breads, egg) to put together a little breakfast for me as well but I would have been happy with a few more options. The room was compact but very organized and comfortable. The onsen facilities were basic but nice.

We would have liked to be able to turn the air conditioning on. We opened the window to cool the room down but doing this we could smell cigarette smoke and all the outside noise was very present in the room- even on the 12th floor.
