The view! The comfort of the beds and bedding. The lighting options. That we could log into our Netflix account on the TV. Initially, we had a room on the 3rd floor which had the window blocked out with an opaque cover because the view was not nice. We disliked this room and asked for a different room, for a small fee, we were given a much better room on the 11th floor and the views were spectacular!
The location was strange. There were some shops around us but the hotel is located on a little island and you have to rely on the underground or the free shuttle to get to a busier location.

It was a great location. Close enough to take a nice walk to Osaka station but far enough to have quiet. 7/11 was right next door which was great. Nice sized room and modern.
I do prefer a closed in bathroom and the style is such that there’s a sliding door to block the bedroom area but not fully enclosed. Shower was great though with the option for a rain shower. Rare not to have a bath shower so a walk in was nice and it had a large sitting bench inside the shower too. I had to ask for a shower sponge but otherwise all amenities are provided self serve in the lobby. I noticed more hotels were not providing bath sponges unlike previous visits to Japan. I had to ask at almost all my stays. They have them but don’t seem to put them out.

Love the location. Actually cancelled our stay at the gracery in namba as I had stayed here a week earlier and loved it so much. I prefer the location to the over touristy area of Namba (where you can barely move it’s so crowded). Osaka station is a nice walking distance. Use the modern and spacious garden city underground access only about 8 min walk from the hotel and it will give you access to the kitte building, Ōsaka station, department stores etc and give you a reprieve from the cold outside (if travelling in winter). Staff a very helpful and one female staff member helped us book Sapporo beer museum for the next part of our trip. She stayed on the phone some time organising all you can eat at the beer museum restaurant for us.
As I mentioned in a previous review I prefer an enclosed bathroom so wasn’t a huge fan of the sliding door that separated the bedroom from basin area but it was fine. A minor dislike.

I am not a smoker but I got a smoking room to accommodate my mom, who was staying with me. The room does have a strong smoke smell, but has an air purifier and is quite clean. I felt like everything was comfortable aside from the smell (to be expected) and the view was great. I was impressed at how nice everything was, and the carbonated public bath was terrific. Staff were all friendly, and they gave us drip coffee for using the eco friendly option (where you let staff know they don't have to clean your room other than the essentials like towels and trash).
Location was definitely a bit odd, as I struggled a bit to find the hotel at first. It's a little far from most of the popular tourist spots like Dotonbori, but they have a shuttle that goes to and from Osaka Station that was convenient. The driver was nice too.

Room was clean and staff were pleasant. Breakfast was not included in my stay so I had to pay extra. It is not exactly near to a subway, i had thought it was nearer. They do not provide complimentary bottled water. But there is a vending machine at every level so you have to buy it from the vending machines. Taxi fare from hotel to Osaka International Airport costs me Y50,000.
Would be good of they provide free shuttle to airport. Also, if they can offer complimentary bottled water in the rooms.

The service was top-notch with Japanese hospitality and service. The room was on the small side but nice & with a view. The best part was the hot spring (onsen) room - large facility, not crowded, and super clean. This is a very "Japanese" hotel in their service and attitude. You may change into Japanese pajamas and have the run of the hotel. Staff takes long and deep bows. Nice restaurant serving very traditional Japanese dishes. Location is quiet but accessible to many places with a 10 min walk to the subway/metro station. Shuttle to train station is great convenience.
Wait staff at the restaurant know no English, but we got around it by using Google Translate for conversations and for reading the menu. Room very small (220sq?).

Room was clean, reasonable size, and well laid-out with the separate bathroom and toilet sharing a sink in the dressing area. Breakfast was nice and varied, and we rarely had to wait to be seated. I don't know what their secret is, but they have the best smelling hotel lobby I have ever encountered.
This branch doesn't allow tattoos in the baths, but the Kyoto and Tokyo branches do. It's not the most convenient for access to the trains, but they have a shuttle to mitigate that. Some popular breakfast items ran out quickly.

Very comfortable bed. Great lights for reading. The chairs were comfortable. We opened the window each day and it was good to have this option. The bathroom facilities were perfect. The room was compact but had plenty of storage space. The Lounge on the 16th floor was a great asset, considering the size of the room. The breakfast was excellent.
Compact space. I think we paid more for the room through booking.com than was necessary. Perhaps we could have received a better rate if we had booked directly with the hotel.

Staff were cordial and kind. Breakfast was pretty good. Onsen was great. Liked the surrounding area. Guest lounge on 16th floor was great.
Had to wait pretty long to check in at certain hours. We didn't mind it but some guests seemed pretty annoyed by the wait. The room I booked for my mother smelled like BO, and so we switched rooms with her. We were fine but she hated it. Also, if you want to heat up your food (we have a toddler, who woke up at 3am and demanded food), you have to bring it down to the reception desk and ask the staff to heat it up for you.

The hotel staff are very friendly. There is a nice restaurant in the hotel which was well priced. The rooms were small but the bathroom made up for lack of space for luggage storage. The onsen located on top of the hotel was clean and well maintained. The onsen consists of an indoor bathing area and there’s also an additional outdoor spa bath, perfect for stargazing in the early morning. The bathroom inside the hotel room was large with a generous ceiling shower head which was so relaxing after a big day of exploring. The bedding was very comfortable. Loved the doonahs.
It wasn’t a big deal, but this hotel is in the business district so the location was a tiny bit of a walk away from the main area. Although in saying this, it was a a very easy and enjoyable walk to the train station.
