Clean, comfortable and friendly staff

You have to cross the road to get to the breakfast area but not a biggie.

It was a bit small but nothing that's not unexpected. We love the bed and the comforters! It was very clean and the bathroom may be small but it has all you need. The toilet and shower are separate. Also, they have a public bath with schedules exclusively for women and exclusively for men. It's the perfect way to end a day of walking.

It was a bit small, but again, if it's just the two of you and you don't plan to stay in your hotel all day long? It's perfect!

It's a really nice room just a short walk from central Umeda. Although it is called a Training Center Hotel and there are some slightly different practices (shared bath times, female floors?) it is a really comfortable place to stay.

Check-in. Despite living in Japan, registering my Japanese address and paying with a Japanese credit card, I was asked to show my foreigner registration card at check-in. While the staff were stiffly polite and acquiesced when I refused, they were not friendly. I have lived here for 30 years, run a business which employs 50, and speak Japanese. Requesting a foreigner registration card is not legal and is an example of discrimination that is most definitely not "omotenashi".

Onsen very good. Modern room and hotel facilities. Good location.

Breakfast really disapointing. I do not recomend if you stay many nights. We stayed 4 nights and the breakfast is a fixed meal where 80% of it never change during different days. So you eat the same meal every day and it is not very good. Also, the room layout is strange.. the bathroom is so small, that you bang your head on the door while you sit in the toilet. It is okay if you poop with open doors, but uncofortable for pooping with closed door.

Room was spacious, had all amenities I needed, also had a public bath. Perfect stay overnight for when I arrived after a 12 hour transit from Australia.

Breakfast was quite small and limited. I was hungry very soon after and needed to go and buy something within an hour afterward before boarding the train. The check-in is also confusing - the building where my bedroom was, is across the road from where reception is. I only found it because there was another foreigner staying there who was also on the same airtrain as myself - he directed me.

This is a well appointed hotel with comfortable rooms at a reasonable rate. It is a 15 minute walk from Osaka Station. You cannot compare the hotel by western/US standards. The rooms are small; the breakfast offering is not extensive (but with unlimited good quality machine coffee). The communal bath is a bonus.

No negatives; I would stay there again. The two building set up is unusual: lobby and dining area in on building with accommodations across the street and 1/4 block away. There is no bathroom in the western sense. There is a small closet holding the toilet; and another small closet with the shower.

Location was about 10 minutes walk from Osaka station, which while not the best, they offered a free shuttle bus either way in the morning and afternoon which was really handy. Staff were really friendly and helpful, providing concierge service until 11pm at night. Many of the staff were fluent in English which was really helpful. At one point I called asking for extra pillows/fresh towels and although the staff member at the time couldn't communicate with me in English, he brought another staff member to my room to ask me what I needed and they promptly came back with pillows and towels (they said they only had one spare pillow, but took the time to find another pillow which we greatly appreciated!). Bedroom was spacious with air conditioner and humidifier. There was a full sized sink which was separate from the toilet/shower. There was also a shared bath, but we didn't use it. The neighbourhood is actually really lovely and quirky with a number of fine dining restaurants, and some lovely homely restaurants too. We wish we had more time to explore it! Note that there are two buildings, one is the accommodation and the other is the reception/dining area (across the road). They also have a small store in the lobby which sells some snacks/beverages/stationery and other items.

Location was a little far from the Umeda Station (about 17 minutes walk), but the bus shuttle helped with this.

It's a short walk to and from the center of Osaka, thus, the location is just right. The breakfast was typical Japanese food and quite balanced, nutritious. The room, though small, is clean and has the basic amenities.

I wish that they are changing the breakfast menu every other day instead of serving the same food every morning i.e. grilled saba fish, rice, miso soup. I thought some variety would be appreciated by many visitors.

Love that the room was clean and comfortable, though a bit small (as are most accommodations in Japan). The staff have been incredibly helpful and kind despite the language barrier. LOVE the shuttle service to Osaka station - game changing for me. Yes, the location will feel quite far and exhausting from the station if walking so take advantage of that free shuttle which was way more comfortable. The hot bath was also very relaxing and quiet. Breakfast and lunch are offered for a cheap price but there some good breakfast and lunch options nearby so I took advantage of those instead. One of the employees at the reception desk helped me reschedule a reservation which was great and saved me a lot of trouble. I would stay here again!

It was a little odd that the accommodation is split into two buildings but it does provide an air of privacy that others might enjoy. Men and women have designated time frames to bathe which was limiting if I wasn’t available at that time. Location wise, if you don’t take advantage of the shuttle, it is very inconvenient. The buses and trains nearby are far and feel even further when you’re visiting during bad weather seasons. I went during the summer so it was HOT. The free shuttle bus is the way to go - trust me. Osaka station is way more convenient for public transit so having a direct line there is great.

The room was nice and clean, even though it is really small so you have to trick with your luggage to be able to move around. Breakfast was very nice and they also had a western option that I really appreciated. The staff was always friendly and helpful with my questions. Osaka station is appr. 15 minutes on foot but there is a free shuttle from the hotel if you do not want to walk.
