I got table with lamp, towel, mini fridge, and a comfortable duvet in a clean room and the 2nd floor had a kitchen. There's also a coin washing machine/dryer, hair dryer, and hair straightener in a sex-separated bathroom/toilet. 2 keycard each person in a room, which I like too. The hostel is 500m away from Street car - easily to reach and about 10 minutes walk from underground station (Susukino). The plus point is several mini marts to buy food/drink and everything.

Some people made noise around 10 PM-1 AM, because of their late check-in or arriving rate, but it isn't property's fault. Maybe you need to bring earplug to avoid that.

The location is great: airport bus stop is less than 10 min walk; walkable to all main city attractions. Rooms don't have many beds, so that's good. Had sink inside the room. It's a quiet place. The reception/social area has good kitchen with free coffee and tea, cutlery. It's a good place to stay for a few days in this beautiful city.

If the room will have all beds occupied, it will be crowded with suitcases, but I don't think much can be done about it. Nothing to mention.

Located in the heart of Susukino, just about 10 mins from the actual center. The staff were all nice and friendly, thank you to Sota, the young lady wearing glasses and the man with the short shaved hairstyle for your help! We booked the twin room with ensuite shower-the room itself is cosy and the beds were very warm and comfy, we especially loved the clean shower that had hot water, shampoo, conditioner and body soap (they smelled so nice!). As it's a hostel, the toilets are located outside of the room which takes some getting used to but otherwise it was fine. The common area with pantry was cosy as well, they provide tea and coffee bags! I liked their cute posters on the wall describing all of the neat things to do/eat in Sapporo/Hokkaido.

The bedrooms are a little bit dark but this was not a big issue for us, and the room could do with more hanger space for your towels/coats/jackets (especially in winter!).

The place has a super convenient location a short walk away from a subway station. There’s a little smoking area downstairs by the entrance if you’re in need of that and the check-in and check out process is overall very simple and quick. The beds are also surprisingly comfortable and you have a little sink in the room to brush your teeth, wash your face and fill up your water bottle. I like that the sleeping nooks also have a security box you can lock your valuables into.

I wish there was an area where you could change clothes as it’s a little inconvenient going all the way to the toilets or shower rooms where there once again isn’t any room to change. If you’re unlucky like me your rooms also gonna smell like feet due to the inappropriately placed shoe boxes inside the bed frame itself which most people don’t even use and just put their shows right in front of the beds. Some sort of a better ventilation system would be great but hey, can’t have it all.

This was one of the largest rooms I stayed in during my vacation in Japan. The bed was comfortable, and the room included a good-sized table, chair, and minibar. You also have an ample floor space to pack your luggage. The lounge area on the second floor lobby was clean and well-organized. Right across the street, there’s a convenience store for all your needs, including late-night cravings. Lastly, their staff are very attentive to your needs.

The floor was a bit dusty when I arrived. On the floor level I stayed, there was only one shower room for men, serving about 8-10 rooms. Although I didn’t experience the queue, I can imagine it could get quite busy during peak hours.

We stayed at Wise Owl Hostel in Sapporo for 4 nights in December 2024, in a private two-single-beds room. Check-in is 16:00-0:00 but you can check in early (before 16:00) or late (after 0:00) for a 1000円 fee. Upon checking in, you can choose two free items from a list (e.g. razor, body sponge). The room was spacious and comfortable, with a desk, chair, coat hanger, mini-fridge, bedside table, sink with hand soap, tissues, lamp, mirror, and bath/face towels. You must bring your key card with you, it is a 1000円 fee if you get locked out. The showers/toilets were shared, and I wish I had thought to bring slippers so that I didn’t have to put on my shoes every time I left the room. The showers provided shampoo, conditioner, body soap, and hairdryers. The common spaces on the 2nd floor are comfortable and spacious. The kitchen has a large shared fridge, stove, microwave/oven, toaster oven, kettle, rice cooker, cutlery, glasses, mugs, plates, bowls, paper towels, dish soap, cutting boards, knives, pots and pans, free instant coffee, sugar, filtered water, and black tea. There are many tables, chairs, a couch, a TV, a Switch, and a ping-pong table. The hostel also has a bar with many drinks for 500円, or all-you-can-drink for 2200円-- but watch out, if you vomit in the sinks you will be charged 30000円. The location is great, too. There is a 24-hour convenience store across the road, and an affordable 24-hour supermarket, Dinner Bell, on the same street block. It’s close to many restaurants. It’s a 5-minute walk from the entertainment/restaurant district Susukino, and a 20-minute walk from Odori Park. It’s well-placed for taking the tram or bus as well.

Not the hostel's fault, but a few guests leave a mess or ignore the signs in the kitchen to put away the dishes and refill the kettle. Please use common spaces respectfully.

I had a great stay at Wise Owl Sapporo Hostel! The place is exceptionally clean, and I stayed in a 4-capsule women's room, which was quiet and spacious with only three guests. The bathroom is spotless and well-equipped with thoughtful extras like a hairdryer and hair straightener. Its location near the tram station is convenient, but I found myself walking everywhere to soak in the safe and serene ambiance. Highly recommended for a comfortable and relaxing stay in Sapporo!

The only downside was the check-in time, which starts at 4 PM, too late in the day for my liking. It would have been nice to settle in earlier.

Great location between Susukino and Nakajima park, which I personally like to go for walking and relaxation. The nearest streetcar station is just about 100 metre away. There are 3 nearby convenience stores : Seico Mart, Family Mart and Lawson and also many eateries, including Ganzo ramen street and a bunch of jingisukan (lamb)restaurants. There are many love hotels and Soaplands located not far from hostel, made the area a bit seedy at night, but nothing to worry about safety.

super nice staff, very comfortable beds with curtains and walls, light and outlets at each bed, clean, steps to get to the upper bunk; small but sufficient lockers for money and laptop; great location near a supermarket, (food discounts after 7 or 8 pm), liquor/beer store and convenience stores; also near the airport bus stop, and town center. Next to a tram stop. free coffee, or black tea; big sunny lounge and kitchen. free luggage storage. big fridge for food storage. Filtered water so we can save on plastic and money. I was really happy there and will return.

The rooms are quiet and the washroom and shower rooms are always very clean. The lounge is nice too. The staff also helped us with the late check-in as our flight delayed for 2 hours.

During our 4-night stay there was no wifi in the room at all, we had to go to the lounge every day if we wanted to use wifi but after long days of travelling we wanted to stay in our room, so we ended up buying more data for our eSim...I confirmed multiple times about the internet as we were working while travelling. This is sad and there was no compensation for it.
