APA hotels don't miss. Their proposition is simple and they do it well, even elevating it a bit. Property and facilities are kept clean and tidy. The room was immaculate, with lots of amenities. Two pillows, one regular and one ergonomic, was a really nice offer. Yukata provided in the room as well to visit the restaurant and large bath. The large bath was very spacious and well kept. The restaurant was a very good surprise, as I rarely dine in hotel restaurants, but the service was impeccable and the food delicious, with great recommendations from staff and selection of local Sendai cuisine. Very easy check in and check out procedures. Electronic check in has an English option and is intuitive, but the staff on site spoke English as well and guided me through the procedure, which was very nice and seamless. Great location, only 15 min walk from Sendai station for trains and buses, konbini next door 24h, lots of shops, cafes and restaurants in the area.

Honestly, I didn't really see any negatives. The coin dryers maybe need a filter clean/change as there was loads of lint on my clothes every time I used it. Bed linen is perhaps a bit heavy and not very breathable. But overall a very good experience, no frills and no worries.

The view from the upper floors was amazing. You could see the snow-covered city down below and the shinkansen go back and forth. From the booking process (getting us a room with a view) to the checkout process (getting us a taxi to the station), the staff was courteous, very accommodating, and even gave our toddler a goodie bag. I wasn't expecting the open-air onsen, so that was a nice bonus, especially during our winter stay. We will definitely stay here again the next time we visit.

It isn't an easy walk from the JR Station with a full load of luggage, but there is a nearby subway station... and a taxi ride to the hotel is relatively inexpensive. The air-conditioning took a while to figure out (I think it was centralized heating). But it wasn't a problem as we just opened the window a bit.

This hotel has its own bathhouse (onsen/sento) in the building, which was not always completely full when going at the right times. The room is a standard business hotel room and has a lot of amenities. The staff was very nice and helpful. Check-in and Check-out is very easy, as both can be simply done via a machine, which has english lanugage support. There are four top-loader washing machines (coin-operated) and four drying machines. It was possible to check their statuses (occupied/unoccupied) on the TV in the room. There is also a convenience store directly connected to this hotel.

The space under the bed was blocked, so there was no way to put your luggage under the bed to provide more space. The drink vending machine had only soft drinks, but most of them were like coffee, milk, chocolate drink but no coke or other sweet drinks.

Location was good. Walkable from Sendai station. Just be aware, if you have large suitcases, you'll have to approach from across the street or you'll end up taking the overpass walk bridge. Having onsen was great feature. Cleaning staff were friendly and said goodmorning daily. Family mart on site is a bonus!

This may not be their fault, but there is a distinct sewage odour at times in the lobby and 2nd floor area. If you've been in Japan before, most neighborhoods suffer from this smell. It's something to get used to but you'd hope hotels would sort this, but apparently not. Another neg: the ice machine, microwave and laundry are located at the onsen (public bath) entrance, which locks at 1am. Not useful if you're a late snacker/clothes washer. Finally, I found the staff a little abrupt at check in. I was asked to pay when my booking clearly stated I had paid. Not a big issue. Could just be communication style.

The room was a good size, it had good facilities and the staff were very helpful. It's a great location, too.

Our situation was quite unique. We needed an accessible room for my friend, and...truthfully, they didn't give us one, despite myself messaging repeatedly about it (over 5 times). It's very obvious my friend is in a wheelchair. Luckily, she has a little mobility, so with my help, but causing her quite some pain, she could make it over the step to the bathroom, but it wasn't ideal.

It's like any other APA - you know what to expect and it's fine overall. Free onsen was a nice bonus - it's very simple, but functional. Other people mention noise from the trains but honestly, I haven't heard anything, it was very quiet. Maybe it was due to the location of my room - hard to tell.

Room, while clean overall, could've been cleaner as there were stains on the walls from people moving their luggage around. Bed was not particularly comfortable, but this is not specific to this hotel or a chain, it's a Japan-wide problem.

The staff was great and very nice, the family mart at the bottom was super convenient, the bed was more comfortable than I imagined, the tv remote did have an option to change to English for a couple of the channels, sound proofing from the train was surprisingly good considering how close we were.

The location is a bit of a walk away from things, but not all bad given it a straight shot from the train stations exit. Like oy one turn and walk for about 10-12 mins. however, being right near the train station you can hear them pretty good if the window is open

It was a short walk away from the station but it is a good location, rooms were a nice size and they were very kind to check in our luggage early. They also were very in kind arranging our luggage to be sent to the next hotel via takuhaibin. There was a great range of facilities like an onsen, restaurant and Laundry room which was very useful. We enjoyed our stay there a lot.

Our particular room didn’t have nice views but I think that was because I didn’t book a room with nice views it’s okay though, I think for sure I’ll make sure to do that next time. The room regardless was nice and neat with lots of amenities.

Extremely close to the Train Station. And the Keisei Line that goes directly to Narita is a 10min. walk away on the other side of the Sendai station. There is also an awesome yakiniku just across the street that’s open until midnight. There is a good shawarma place and other restaurants/izakaya just there a stone’s throw away.

It is a bit small, but that’s the standard of Japan. This APA branch however is one of the best I’ve been to. But, I did not like that a bright Docomo billboard was right outside my window.

Efficient electronic check-in, with helpful staff to assist. Smart room with all that you need. The restaurant was not very busy on the evening I stayed. and I wondered if this was perhaps because it was not very good. However, I was very pleasantly surprised to find the food was excellent, and I was glad I had chosen to dine in.

Can't fault it. Would stay there again
