The hotel was conveniently located, just a 5-minute walk from Sendai Station, and it was easy to find. The staff was generally responsive and kind; they allowed us to check in two hours earlier (for a fee) when we informed them that one of our senior family members had fallen sick and needed a place to rest. Despite the early check-in, the cleaning staff managed to quickly and properly prepare the room for us—we found the room spotlessly clean, with fresh beddings and linens. We had all the amenities that we needed, including complimentary coffee and tea, which we could prepare inside the room. We also appreciated the large television installed in the room, where we could stream with YouTube and Netflix. Although the room itself was not very spacious—quite common for Japanese hotels—it was enough for us to move around and rest comfortably. Plus, 7-Eleven and Starbucks were just beside the hotel, where we could grab snacks or sweets. We had a pleasant stay and would consider staying here again if we come back to Sendai.

Despite booking three rooms several months ahead of our intended stay, we were still assigned rooms that were very far apart from each other—two rooms located on opposite ends of the same floor and one on another floor. We were traveling with senior members of our family whom we needed to take care of closely, so it was a hassle for us to walk a long way to their room and check up on them. If not for this letdown, we would give it a higher score of 9.

Convenient to main JR Train Station and Regional Bus terminals. Staff very eager to clean our room and restock laundry even when we had the do not disturb sign out. Met our expectations.

We would have preferred an Apartment. Traveling around the city we noticed what appeared to be many high-rise apartment buildings very near JR as well as a fresh food market nearby. Why weren't some of these apartments available during out stay period? Tokyo, Hakodate, and Sapporo had apartments, why not Sendai?

Location, Location, Location. The hotel is very close to Sendai station. There is a small alley behind the hotel with local market for very nice Croquettes and fresh produces and fruits. Food in the hotel is quite good with several good resturants nearby. The room is clean and as big as it can be in this price range in Japan. Hotel receptions are friendly and accomodating. We impressed the most with the cleaning lady. She is very professional and responsed promptly with our request. We stayed for 2 nights, but due to some reason, we didnt have the room cleaned in day 2. When we asked for clean towels and trash bag, she literally ran to grab them for us. Thank you.

Similar to most Japanese hotel, I wish they would have more English instruction/explanation on how things work. Internation news channel would be a big plus as well.

I stayed at Koko Hotel from 08-10.09 for a business trip. While the amenities may not have been as superb as those in other Koko Hotels I've stayed in, the comfort was more than adequate. However, some renovations, especially in the bathrooms, should be considered as a priority. I had two different experiences with the staff—one negative and one excellent. Yesterday, on 09.09, the front desk staff member refused to help me with issuing a VAT invoice, which I need for my company. I spent over an hour discussing this with him, but he kept insisting they couldn’t provide it and directed me to contact Booking.com. However, Booking.com advised me that the hotel was responsible. Despite my frustration, the staff member smiled, seemingly indifferent to the time I had wasted. In contrast, the staff member working the morning shift today was the complete opposite. He was kind, polite, and eager to help. He made several calls, put in a lot of effort, and eventually found a solution. His assistance is the reason why this review is rated so highly. You should be proud of him.

To be honest, I didn’t know what to expect but it was a good hotel. Well,positioned, the staff were extremely helpful.the rooms although small by Australian standards, were quite adequate for me. The shower was a big surprise, so hot and powerful which was great. Although not over the top, the rooms had great wifi, and facilities for the tech traveller. The bed seemed hard at first, but I was surprised that it gave me the best night’s sleep during my stay in Japan. Can’t think of any negatives really. Enjoyed my stay.

A quick walk to the station and restaurants. Sendai central is a pleasant place to visit, with a nice castle ruine nearby. They have an extensive optional amenity like skincare stuff and others, which I liked a lot. They also have a kettle in the room. The staff were friendly, spending time explaining me in details for restaurant suggestions.

The room could have been bigger but for me alone it was sufficient. (For two, it may be a bit tight if you have big luggage). It'll be great if they have a little more option than coffee, like tea bags. (I bought some tea bags for myself at a super market).

Very close to the station and university campus (where we needed to be). Staff helpful and room is nice albeit a bit small. Standard hotel experience, par for the course at this price.

I don't know if this is bookings fault or the hotels, but we needed an invoice, which Booking said we had to get from the hotel, while the staff informed us they couldn't provide invoices for online payments.

The hotel is located less than 10-minute walk from the station. Lots of restaurants within 10-minute walk radius. One of the famous beef tongue restaurant is 2-minute walk from the hotel! Actually the sumptuous breakfast menu include a beef tongue curry! The room size is reasonably large in comparison with typical Japanese hotels near train station. Behind the hotel is a fresh produce market where you can get fruits and seafood.

For the price I paid, there is really nothing I can think of.

The hotel is perfectly located, easy to find, a short walk from the station, clean, and the staff were very kind. The rooms has a good amount of space and were not too craped. The rooms also has a smart tv and a built in vanity seperate from the restroom.

The only two things that were bad were the bed, which was very hard and left me feeling sore, and the water which got way too hot to the point of nearly burning at the slightest move of the tap. If the beds were more comportable or had toppers and if the water was easier to temperature control I would have no complaints. Unfortunately the bed was so uncomfortable that I will not stay at this property again.
