They're many convinience stotes on the main street, no need to worry shipping for soft drinks or breakfast all the days. There r many Korean restaurants opposite to the hotel as well.

The outdoor corridor was wet during rainny days. The location is near a main street for ambulance and fire trucks passing, so we haerd around five times of those alarm passing every nights. The refrigerator in my room does not work.

Very good staff all around. Foreigner friendly, which was great for my first time in Tokyo. Staff made reservations for my birthday dinner and also supplied a fan for the room. Everything was clean and house keeping supplied new towels everyday. Super great location. You’re near the train station and red light district. Lots of convenient stores nearby to get anything you need.

I did not love the blankets they use for the beds but they are ok. Rooms are small but knew that going in. Only real downside is waiting for 1 elevator every time you want to go up or down but it’s not that bad.

Had a great stay with young son. Excellent location, only a short walk to Higashi-Shinjuku station A1 Exit (A3 exit is just a wee bit further down the road and has an elevator, which is handy for luggage), Very central with lots of places to eat and shop within walking distance. Several convenience stores very close. Room was smallish, but very clean and the layout was good so it was very comfortable for a longer stay. The bathroom was very clean, and good range of amenities provided and restocked when room cleaned. My son received a little kids pack with slippers, a little sponge and a toothbrush.. he was very impressed! I thought the bed was very comfortable. Overall, very happy with the room. Staff at front desk were pleasant and helpful with directions. Laundry, vending machine and ice machine were handy for our stay. We had breakfast included in our rate and the little restaurant at the front of the hotel did a good job with a nice mix of Asian and western options. We had scrambled eggs, bacon, little sausages and toast, juice, coffee every day. Cereal and sweet pastries also on offer. A great way to start each day. Highly recommend this hotel.

No complaints. Had a great stay.

The hotel’s location is perfect for exploring Tokyo. Situated in the vibrant Kabukicho area, it’s just a short walk from Higashi Shinjuku Station, making it incredibly convenient to access major attractions like Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden and the bustling streets of Shinjuku. The neighborhood is lively, filled with great restaurants, shops, and entertainment options, yet the hotel itself offers a peaceful retreat from the excitement outside. My room was cozy and well-appointed, with modern decor that made it feel both stylish and comfortable. I appreciated the thoughtful amenities, including a comfortable bed, a sleek bathroom, and a variety of toiletries. The room was also equipped with a flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi, which made it easy to relax after a long day of sightseeing.

Like many hotels in Tokyo, the rooms can be on the smaller side, which may feel cramped for some travelers, especially if they have a lot of luggage. I didn't consider this to be negative for my stay but I could imagine this being an issue with some of my friends.

Very compact room but we made it work for a 5 day stay. Location in a questionable area but we had no issues just noisy with sirens all night. Easy walk to both train stations, shops, restaurants. Convenience stores nearby too. Very comfortable bed, gorgeous fluffy towels and a great bathroom. loved the natural light I could get in the room. Staff were great with check in and out and storing our bags on the last day.

Had to get 2 rooms as only had rooms for 2 but it ended up OK and they put us next door to each other so that was great.

Location! Its in the heart of Shinjuku and just a 2 min walk to Higashi Shinjuku station and 15-20min walk to main Shinjuku station. Hotel had all the amenities needed regardless of the small sized room and bathroom. We came to the hotel just to sleep and shower so we were OK with the size of the room. The rooms were super clean and the staff was friendly too. They actually was kind enough to let us check in early. Laundry service was slightly more expensive than outside laundry but it was convenient.

The room was quite small so couldnt open our bags. We opened them on the bed all the time.

Honestly everything. I didn’t care that some of the rooms were in efficient size it’s just enough to be comfortable and cozy esp from a couple who cuddles a lot 🥰 I love how efficient that staff were and there were literally many things to accommodate to foreigners to make the process less intimidating such as the check in process, self check out, access too wifi, breakfast/dinner. I especially love that it’s station near multiple convenient stores, transportation, and the area of Shinjuku and Kabukicho all can be walking distance or even pay short trips with the taxis. The next time my partner and I visits Japan we will stay here and recommend to our friends and family as well!

I can’t think of any.

The only thing I did not 100% enjoy was the fact that in the bathroom there was not space to put things. Not a single table top or support space. Apart from that, everything was great.

APA Hotel Higashi Shinjuku Kabukicho was very conveniently located and there were lots of restaurants, shops nearby. It is also near 3 stations. Higashi Shinjuku Station being the closest. The hotel staff were very courteous and respectful. The hotel serves breakfast for an additional price but since it is a buffet breakfast it is worth the price. In Japan please note you are provided with all basic toiletries (toothpaste, toothbrush, comb, razor, bathroom cap, hair trying bands). The hotel provided all of these. Our room we cleaned twice in our 6 days of stay. They will also provide you with fresh towels if you leave your used one in a provided bag outside. There is a lot of security as without the access card you can't reach the guest floors. However Japan is very safe in this regard. There is a 7-11 on the opposite side of the road where you can go to send your luggage to your next destination, it is about 200 m away. This is not the 7-11 that is like 50 m away. There is a small shrine if you exit by the back alley which I prayed to every morning which made our day super fruitful in terms of our vacation. Shinjuku Station is about 1.3 km away and goes through the Kabukicho area and also the Godzilla Head. The route to Shinjuku station has loads and loads of Restaurants to satisfy any gastrointestinal carving you may have. Thus the walk to Shinjuku station is an experience in itself. Overall a very satisfying choice.. Please note there are quite a few APA Hotels around so get the exact address for any transport you might take to the hotel

Location : 5 minutes walk from the bustling Shinjuku area, 6 minutes away from the metro station. 24x7 convenience stores around. Staff is welcoming, 2 minutes to check in, the rooms are what is expected in Tokyo small and cramped yet comfortable. There's no space to keep all of your suitcase open or even slide them under the bed. But overall it doesn't matter as you'd be out in Tokyo than be in the room. The housekeeping was perfect.

The breakfast wasn't worth it. The quantity of the menu was limited and restricted. I would rather suggest you to walk a bit to the 7-11 across the street and treat yourself with a microwaved meal and a nice coffee. You'll thank me later.
