Stayed at Centurion Hotel Ueno and had a pleasant experience. The location is excellent—just a few minutes’ walk from Okachimachi Station, with easy access to the Yamanote Line, Ginza Line, and Skyliner to Narita Airport. Ueno Park, Ameyoko Market, and plenty of restaurants are all within walking distance, so it’s perfect for sightseeing and food hunting. FamilyMart in the same building, so snacks, drinks, and essentials are right downstairs😊 The rooms are compact but well-equipped, with comfortable beds and modern amenities. Everything was clean and well-maintained. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Convenient location, close to multiple train stations. A 7/11 is just across the street, and there's numerous restaurants around. The front staff were very friendly and helpful.

Not so much a mark against the hotel but a heads up that the area it is in is a bit seedy. There are gentleman's clubs around so if you're walking around at night, you'll see a lot of well dressed girls standing outside buildings. A heads up that the bath/shower has very high sides, so if you're not super flexible or have bad balance, this may not be the best for you. There is also a panel near the bathroom that sticks out and could potentially cause damage to people entering/exiting the bath (photo attached).

Location is top notch. It’s near the Keisei Skyliner station which took me straight to Narita airport in about 30 minutes or so. Pretty close to shopping alleys, street food, Ueno Park, and stations are minutes away. Friendly staff! They greeted me with a smile every time. It was scalding hot with the summer weather but it was eased by their smiles. Will definitely stay again!

The elevator has this musty smell which is understandable since the hotel is quite old. Probably caused by the weather as well, making it humid.

Fantastic location 2 mins walk either side of hotel to different subway lines. We stayed in the top floor apartment with a balcony a rare find in Tokyo. The room size was fantastic, so big had two double beds and a sofa bed with seating area too, very clean great amenities. Had a Don Quito opposite the hotel which was a great bonus so didn’t have to carry those heavy bags far. Had 7/11 and family marts literally outside loads of place to eat and shop all within walking distance. Great location for a group highly recommended.

Bathroom water supply played throughout the stay don’t know if it was weak water pressure wasn’t a major problem but at the same time was inconvenient

Staff were polite and approachable which makes it easy to communicate considering the language barrier with tourists in Japan. Location is convenient, it is near from different train station especially the skyliner station. The room is clean everyday if you request for regular clean up. Excellent bathroom and AC cooling. Comfortable stay during the whole duration of the trip.

Room is quite cramped for 3 people which makes it difficult for arranging luggage, to think that tourist will often buy tax-free goods from stores. No cabinet for clothes, again making it hard given the limited space of the room. Bit expensive comparing to others in average. What I dislike is that many pubs were in the area making it troublesome for individuals who like to travel alone. Although no violence happened during my stay except some shouting from drunk people

I love the location as it is walking distance to everything (station, Donkki, drugstores, 7/11, Family Mart, Ameyoko shopping street, Ueno Park). Everything is 3 to 7 minute walk. The staff are very friendly and helpful, too. They even helped me with carrying my luggages and they let us leave luggages in their hotel at check-out. There's also an indoor play area for kids which is a plus!

Room is small, but that's okay since we're only there to sleep.

Got to our hotel easily from the train, we had to wait until 3pm to get into the rooms, but got a quick lunch around the corner while we waited so it wasn't a problem. The rooms were clean and had the essentials, with a nice view of downtown.

Very cramped space for our group size. We should have sprung for a larger room or gotten 3 instead of two for our party of 5.

The room is clean and cozy, but the interior decor is somewhat outdated, and the lighting is slightly insufficient.

The hotel is located in a perfect spot, making it very convenient for transportation and shopping. However, at night, the presence of solicitors from certain businesses on the street can be a bit disturbing.

The location is nice and convenience. It's near Keisei-Ueno station so you can just take a Skyliner straight from Narita Airport and reach the hotel within minutes of walk. It's also easy to travel via Tokyo Metro because you can also walk to Ueno-Okachimachi or Ueno-Hirokoji from the hotel. Many restaurants and shops are around in the Ueno area. Compared to the price I paid this convenience was pretty worth it. The hotel has good wi-fi. I also got a room on the same floor with the vending machine so if you're thirsty or just need to get rid of the coins you can just walk down the hall and buy some drinks. It also has comfy lobby if you need to take a break before checking-in or need to chill after checking-out and leave for airport. The staff were helpful. The casual room for 1 person I booked is nice and comfortable to stay, but it is a bit smaller than my expectation. There's no much room to do anything except for laying down a luggage and unpacking your stuff, but if you're travelling alone with few personal belongings or you're just looking for a room with a bed and a bathroom to stay over the nights, I think it's acceptable compared to the price.

The hotel was rather quiet (normal big city noice etc.) and clean. It was close to a metro station entry so it was easy to move anywhere. For the cheap price it was extremely good hotel. Of course Ueno has it's night time scene so it might not be the most suitable hotel for families with small children. The hotel staff was really nice and helpful.
