A quick stroll away from the Shinagawa station lies this hotel with a massive outdoor park area. The park area was located inside the hotel's grounds and had a lot of things to explore like a koi fish pond, a small temple, artistic pieces and gardens. The 7/11 also helped us with snack options, etc. Plenty of food options inside the hotel. The rooms were spacious.

The spa was an extra cost for our room.

Staff were exceptional and helped to make our stay perfect. The location is pretty good and well-connected, and the rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. The garden is a nice touch and everything about the hotel, from common areas to amenities, communicates high quality and luxury.

Only central heating is available until the summer, so if your room is already hot (as our original one was before we were offered to change it), it is very difficult to cool it down. Furnishings are slightly dated, but in a good shape still.

Beautiful rooms, excellent facilities, spacious and comfortable. Clean and frequently cleaned, staff are professional and multilingual. Multiple gardens and leisure facilities in hotel.

Shinagawa is something of a dead area. Also, the hotel is uphill from the train stations, walking up with luggage is a bit of a pain.

Excellent location, close to a big train station with many lines specially the Shinkansen line, makes travelling very easy. Having a 7-Eleven shop inside the building is super handy. A big and beautiful Japanese style garden is a plus, specially at night when the lights are on. Good view of the city, you could see the Tokyo Tower. Stuff are nice and helpful, room is clean and well supplied.

The interior of the hotel room is a little out dated, specially the carpet feels very old.

The room size were very spacious for Japnan. The rooms were also very quiet and they back on to a quiet area. The garden in the hotel grounds is beautiful. Having a convenience store not far from the lobby was fittingly convenient.

The staff were efficient but came off a bit cool/indifferent. The hotel is up a hill from Shinagawa station up a slope - only a big deal if you're carrying lots of bags - a shuttle service from the station would be ideal.

The room is big, great for couples. Though the location is quite far from the station, not so convenient when you have big luggages, but there's shuttle bus if you are not in a hurry to drop you off at the branch near the train station.

The room was a really good size, beds very comfortable. Even though there was an air conditioner there was an additional air cooler in the room as the air con was set to a higher than comfortable temperature. Was nice to be able to open the balcony door for fresh air. Loved the Seven Eleven in the hotel, we went and bought breakfast here every day as we felt the hotel breakfast cost was a little expensive. Loved the Japanese restaurant, Loved the Zen garden, with the lights at night. Was close to two metro stations.

I think the room needs a revamp, the wooden cupboards, shelves, desk looked like it needs to be replaced. There was a shower in the bath with a shower curtain (this is my pet hate in a hotel). Could not get reservations for 2 of the restaurants, one seemed to be booked up 3 months in advance, would have been nice to get notice on this or for hotel guests to get preference bookings. The restaurants were expensive.

Spacious clean and well functioning room, beautiful garden and balcony view of the garden and city. Very close to station for easy transportation.

Difficult to find with 3 other Grand Prince hotels in close proximity. Hotel is up a steep hill so if your walking from the station with suitcases be prepared. Buffet breakfast was very expensive so we opted to have the American style breakfast which ended up being approx. $15 cheaper and didn’t exceed our expectations at all. Disappointed the pool was closed as it was 35 degrees in Tokyo.

Amazing views of the city from the balcony, with beautiful sunset and we even saw Mt Fuji one day in the distance. Nice gardens at the bottom which makes it feel even more spacious as you do not have any high building in front blocking the view. Very big room, especially for Tokyo! Great location: only a 5-10min walk to Shinagawa Station which has many trains into the city and a direct train to Haneda Airport (only ~20min). This area is much less crowded than Shinjuku or Shibuya, which we really appreciated after spending the day exploring the city. 7-eleven in the hotel building, which was practical to get out cash, buy some snacks etc. Staff was very helpful and spoke good English (as it should for such a hotel), they helped us get a package delivered to the hotel, informed us when arrived, brought it up to our room.

I would not rate it 5 stars, rather 4. The rooms are not modern enough (especially bathroom), but we knew that from the pictures when booking so no disappointment there. Check-in machines: they have them a lot in Japan but I would have expected to have someone do the check-in for me in a 5 star hotel by simply giving my passport, rather than having to use their machine to find my reservation, pay for city taxes etc. Beds could have been a bit harder (personal preference), softest beds we had after 2 weeks in Japan.
