We were really happy with our 9 day stay at Mimaru Ginza East. The staff was always so kind and helpful. It was super clean and welcoming. The walk to the main shopping area in Ginza is about 12 mins so if you have smaller kids, be prepared for that. The room was bright and clean with very comfy beds. Kitchen was nicely stocked. Review the cleaning services schedule on their website. Closest station is about an 8 minute walk. Once we checked out on our last day, we were able to leave our bags at reception for a few hours for free until our airport van picked us up which was really helpful. Really pleased with our stay, a perfect apartment-style hotel.

Would consider staying somewhere closer to the heart of Ginza's shops/restaurants next time.

Location was good. A great fruit and veg shop just across the road and easy access to kombinis and restaurants. Maybe 15 minutes to the closest subway. Good for walking access to Ginza shopping and Tokyo Station is about 20 mins walk. Friendly and helpful staff. It was cool to have a wall of recommendations for nearby cafes and restaurants. Very handy. Mimaru is clean, spacious and with a kitchenette, it is an excellent choice for families. Mimaru properties will always be our first choice if available in the location we need,

Clean and modern accommodation in a good location. A great set up for our family of four with two pre-teens (older teens would likely appreciate more internal privacy options). Kitchenette very useful and had all the facilities we needed. Close to a range of restaurants and convenient stores, and a 15 minute walk to high end shopping. In between a few metro stations for access to the train network, with a fair amount of walking required (which we loved). The area wasn’t touristy - whilst very much in the middle of the city, it was very quiet. Staff were helpful with all of our needs, including sending luggage ahead to Kyoto so we didn’t need to take everything with us for a weekend explore.

The hotel had everything a family needed, there was a lot of space, the kids loved the bunk bed and the dining area was perfect. The layout made it felt very spacious and there was a lot of storage and hanging rails/hooks around. The staff was lovely and helpful, they also assisted in delivering our luggage to our next destination. Opposite was also a great fruit shop.

There was not a lot of food choices close to the hotel, however it was about 10min walk to closest train station and about 20min walk to main shopping district

This hotel was perfect for our family of four. The bonk bed room was wonderful with plenty of room for us and our luggage. We sat at the table often to catch up for the day or eat snacks. Staff were always nice and helpful! The location was nice and quiet but with plenty of options for dinner and close proximity to a 711. Also close to the train stations and 10 min walk from Tokyo station. Would stay here again!

Great location. Walking distance to Tokyo Station. Nice area with lots of great combinis and restaurants nearby. Helpful multilingual staff. Cute touches in the pokemon themed room. Our son loved the giant Snorlax plushie.

The pillows were uncomfortable and way too squishy. Mattresses were very firm which alone would have been okay but combined with the extra squishy pillows that provided no support, it made for an uncomfortable nights sleep. We stayed with a young toddler and we were constantly worried that the big flat screen TV was a tipping risk if he got near it as it wasn't anchored to anything (we have also stayed at Mimaru Tokyo Ueno Inaricho and theirs was okay as it was firmly stuck to the cabinet.) We would have unplugged the TV entirely and moved it into a cupboard for our stay but we couldn't as it's wired in a way that makes it impossible to relocate.

Location is great , close to Ginza shopping and lots of great hidden little restaurants. Staff very friendly but have to ask them questions as won’t tell you but seems to be all Japanese do this !!

Coming from Australia, would have been nice to have a couple of English channels on tv or somehow have access to Netflix in English without our log in details . Especially when paid over $500 a night for projector screen . Also did not know till check out could rent stuff , had laundry in building & pj and tea near front entrance . Staff should tell guests on arrival .

The rooms were very spacious and well-equipped so we could bring food back to the room to have a peaceful dinner on some of the nights when we didn't feel much like jostling with the crowds. The arrangement was perfect for our family of 2 adults and 2 teenagers.

There was only 1 elevator but thankfully there weren't that many floors. The hotel seems to be located near hospitals or emergency services of sorts so the sound of the sirens can be heard sometimes. Otherwise, the traffic sound wasn't too noticeable. The location is in a quiet area of Ginza which made getting about tedious for the rest of our travel party which included 3 young children and 2 elderly folks in their 70s.

The room was perfect - very large with four comfortable single beds plus a bunk bed. It also had a lovely big bathroom and great shower room! The kitchen was small but well equiped with near new appliances. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The laundry room and vending machine were both very handy. Ginza is a nice quiet and safe area and not touristy with some lovely shops and restaurants plus you are near train stations with a fruit shop and 7Eleven very close by.

Unfortunately we were misinformed by the hotel staff regarding the pricing of the parking in front of the hotel. This was a lot more expensive than we were told and lucky enough we checked after two days and moved the car to another parking station. Also the staff did not seem to know the local area well as we needed a doctor and they did not know where the nearest medical centre was - thank goodness for Google! A guide book on the area would be very useful and recommended in each room. Location was near Ginza but a decent walk, there were a few restaurants around but not much option for vegetarians.

Staff were very helpful to allow us to change room type last minute. The family apartment was awesome, with more than enough room for everyone. A little walk-in wardrobe served as a play area for my children, and they could be kept out of the way while we did the packing :D Many dining options and convenience stores around. Kyobashi playground is just round the corner (3min walk!) and we spend the last day literally in that park. For kids who love firefighting, Kyobashi fire station is also very nearby and the firemen there offered my kids to sit in the cab of their fire engine!

I guess it is in the name Ginza East, but it takes about 15-20min walk to reach Uniqlo in Ginza!
