I liked that once we figured out you can get to the property via train at a closer location than shinjuku (make sure you walk from shinjuku once or you’ll miss the giant cat right after you exit the east gate from the station, piss alley is also near by, both are great to view at night) made it easier on the legs. The owner was amazing and super helpful. There are multiple drink vending machines close by, there is two drug stores/pharmacies within a 5 minute walk. Loads of restaurants close by. Easy access to everything!

It would have been nice if there was hand soap in all the dispensers at the property. Other than that everything was great.

The location was great, with several tube stations nearby. The property was really nice, the room is spacious and comes with mini fridge inside the room. They give you tooth brush when checking in (in case you forgot yours) and they have hairdryers for after the shower. It was nice to see that male and female showers are separate - and same for the toilets.

The check in time is quite late. However it’s understandable as there’s only one person cleaning all the rooms and common areas daily. In any case, there’s space to leave your suitcases before check in/after check out in case you want to go ahead and explore the city while waiting for 16:00

We like the location was more traditional and not inside Tokyo , very quiet and easy to the Subway , it was good value of money. We like the amenities and also common spaces were clean all the time so we are happy.

The size of the room was very small for 4 people, I was expecting something a bit bigger, we all had luggage’s and we couldn’t fit everything inside, I recommend you make sure you check you have a bigger room If you are more of 2 people, for two nights was ok but the space was very small.

I really enjoyed the quietness of the place. I really felt at ease. Thank you very much. I love the quietness of the area too.

I feel that the some guest was disrespectful and whilst everything was very clean, some guest left things in poor conditions in the bathroom, but I think it’s also the smell in the room that needs freshener because there is no air. The windows are sealed so I think air fresheners would be good. it was messy at the entrance, but I think it’s because of the guests that are sometimes not very respectful. The bathroom is very clean. And all amenities are very clean.

The space and location is perfect to travel around with nearby train stations, convenient stores and supermarket.

Upon checking in, we received no email regarding how to check in into our accommodation. I was lucky to have my brother who understands Japanese in order to communicate over the lodging. Self Check-in was a bit confusing at first but i will definitely will go for a 2nd time at the same place again.

Just a simple room with futons to roll out on the floor. Had good shared facilities like a big mirror with sinks and hair dryers. Good adjustable lighting so the light could be on low and not disturb people sleeping

Had some trouble checking in as we didn't recieve any check in info. We had to call a few numbers and had some trouble getting through but we did arrive late due to our flight and a staff member arrived within 15 minutes.

I liked the simplicity of our room. I had the 2 twin bed room, which I shared with a friend, there was a also a little closet you could put your things in, which was nice. The location was ok, it was around 20-25 minute walk from Shinjuku station. There were some vending machines in the alleyway next the entrance to Ryokan, which was also nice. The toilets and other facilities were also very clean.

My only complaints about the stay was that it only had one shower. I didn’t mind it, but it did get a little inconvenient when I’d have to wait for someone. The shower also did have some heating problems at times, but it wouldn’t get too cold.

The wifi was good. The room was basic but the location was excellent, right next to the shinjuku Central Park, close to the Tokyo Governmental buildings which offer a free observatory. As others have mentioned there are no staff present there but the bonus of this is that you don’t have a lengthy check in process.

The cleanliness depends on the other guests. The first night we arrived it was clean but by the last night some new guests had arrived who were quite noisy at night and didn’t wash round the sinks after they’d used them. There are clear signs saying to clean up after yourself and you would expect that at the low price for the room.

Perfect location, nice and quiet at night but 10-15 minutes walk from all the nightlife.

Very noisy guest- 3 or 4 out of the 7 nights we had people next door making so much noise all night long. Not the hotels problem, just bad guest.

Room was large and lots of toilets.

They should clarify that it would be from West Shinjuku station, not Shinjuku main rail station. Property needs better signage! No one was at property to help or explain check in.
