The bed, once we got into it, was very comfortable. But, we had to crawl over a banquette to get to it! Nice towels, linens, soaps, etc. Room had everything we needed for our four night stay. Staff were very responsive. Breakfast was not a gourmet delight, but it included several protein options, which was greatly appreciated. Good location, easy to get around Brooklyn and Manhattan from there on public transportation. Only complaint, aside from the difficult access to the bed, is the lack of color in the room. Everything was either drab gray or drab brown. All the color is in the corridors.

Room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was good. I love the location, it’s close to many restaurants and other shopping and not far from the Barclays Center.

It’s very expensive, we’ve been staying there for years but I think we will be looking elsewhere to see if we can save some money. It’s the price of a luxury hotel in Manhattan, and it’s not a luxury property. I think they feel they have a captive audience because there aren’t that many hotels in Brooklyn.

Room is great size for New York, staff is very helpful. Free breakfast and coffee is a bonus. It is in a great location of Brooklyn. Close to the subway and walking distance to so many places. It is a smaller hotel so no waiting on elevators.

Hair dryer is awful, didn't shut off had to just unplug, it is small and not great. Someone had a dog barking in their room at 6am. Shower is only a rain head, wish it had a handheld,

The room met our needs; ie. safety and cleanliness. Having only four floors meant not waiting long for an elevator. The breakfast was more than adequate. Didn't hear outside traffic all that much.

There sure are a lot of taxes added to the bill, including a charge for "amenities." I prefer to have the room serviced every day.

Coming from Europe we went to NU Hotel for 10 nights in January 2024. Everything was perfect : very friendly staff, nice and clean room, breakfast ! The hotel situation allows you to be very close from public transports and you can easily find some nice bars and restaurants around the hotel. The NU hotel is really the best option if you want to stay outside and close to Manhattan for a decent price. The staff were so kind with us we really appreciated

The room was a good size and had everything we needed. The location is great, it is right next to the Subway station that takes you straight in to Manhattan in about 15 minutes. The staff at the hotel are really friendly, my mum is gluten free and they provided GF bread for her for breakfast which was great of them!

The shower wasn't great but it wasn't bad enough to put me off staying here again.

All in all very good - everything clean and nice, room cleaning every second day was good, breakfast is totally ok (everything depends on the standard anyone is used from home 😉). Two subway stations close to so going to Manhattan or somewhere else is very easy.

Maybe thinking of offering some fresh vegetables for breakfast and using less plastic.

I loved this hotel. I'd heard that hotel rooms in New York were tiny, so we splurged and got the bunk bed suite, which had enough room for myself and my three kids to hang out comfortably. It's just a few blocks from the A and C subway lines, which can take you to most of the tourist spots in Manhattan, and within walking distance of the Brooklyn Bridge. The breakfast is a step above the normal hotel breakfast experience: Greek yoghurt, cut melons, sandwich meats, etc. Water, coffee, apples, oranges and cookies are made available all day in the lobby. There are also lots of eating options in the area, ranging from 99 cent pizza, to late night delis, to nicer sit-down restaurants, and there's a Trader Joe's a few blocks away. The room was very clean and spacious enough. It had a fridge and a keurig coffee.

The cost was significantly more expensive than other hotels I was looking at, but I think the location and overall niceness of the room and hotel made it worth the expense. We don't go to New York very often, so might as well make it enjoyable while we're there!

The location was excellent, near my daughter's apartment and close to the Barclay Center, and the surrounding neighborhood was very lovely. Street parking was widely available, and there was also garage parking right next door.

Several sirens, not sure if police or ambulance, and heavy construction across the street. There is a fire hydrant in front of the hotel, and therefore, unloading luggage is a very quick and somewhat stressful exercise.

The bed in my first room was terrible, maybe the mattress was worn, but the bed in the second room was very good. The rooms are a good size and have everything I need. The Keurig coffee machine in the room was great! The breakfast is grab-and-go, continental, and rather limited. Some of the reception staff are super friendly and helpful, others not so much, but that's expected pretty much everywhere. All in all, I would book again.

The A/C machinery at the back of the hotel makes an annoying racket - 24/7. I asked to change rooms because of that and was much happier in the room facing the street, even as the sirens are traffic noise is pretty constant. At least that reduces during the middle of the night, and the double glazing helps to block some of the noise.
