Amsterdam was the first stop from our entire Europe Trip and it was our first time experience with IBIS abroad. We were well received and the lady at the reception at that time was really helpful where she explained in detail by outlining the key city spots and some travel tips. Even though it was a budget hotel , we never felt an uncomfortable situation with our stay and the facilities provided. Interesting factors what we witnessed during the stay are two things one the bfast was served from 4 AM onwards and there was a shuttle bus at free of cost at every 5 min interval. From our entire travel experience we have rated IBIS as the best based on these 2 key facilities which is very significant from a travellers perspective since we were able to save money on both Food and local Travel.

Location, close to the airport. The hotel also provides scheduled, free bus service to and from the airport. The time schedule also spans Lobby is spacious and comfortable, equipped with self-service vending machines. Good value for service at the price that we paid, considering the bus shuttle service, closeness to the airport, and breakfast service. For breakfast, a vast option of light meals, such as croissants, eggs, sausages, fruits, and multiple options of hot drinks were available.

Due to its close proximity, we heard airport-related loudness more often than we want to. Therefore, those who are light-sleepers may feel disturbed. The left bottom corner of the bed of the room that we were in (#1316), had a sharp edge that cuts my calf and caused minor bleeding. Fortunately, it happened to me only and not to my young children. As a precaution, we put one of the towels to cover the sharp edge, to reduce the chance of it hurting any of us again. Furnitures and bathroom in the room is a bit outdated.

The hotel had everything we needed coming to the end of a long holiday - nice breakfast, multiple restaurants, lounge areas, fitness rooms, outdoor areas, laundry facilities, souvenir shop and a well-stocked minimart. The room was comfortable, and the shuttle to the airport was fantastic. The staff were absolutely incredible, couldn’t have asked for a nicer team to welcome us each morning.

Despite there being plenty of facilities, there was no water refill station so we had to buy water from the mini-mart, and if we wanted to refill it we had to use our bathroom sink as not even the bar could give us cold water. Prices in the laundry & minimart were extortionate, and they’re quite naughty for not providing tea/coffee stations in the rooms yet charging €3 for a tea in the lounge!

Desk/receptionist guy was very nice,friendly. Made a mistake and gave us a room which was already occupied (or still), they didnt even know..just when we went up, all belongings were there..the receptionist guy was upgrading our room to Superior, was a great gesture. Thank you (however the room was not that clean) It was in the calmer wing, Sweet wing and had a very nice, compfy bed :)) Convenient as all restaurant, bar is avalable. The breakfast was sooo lovely, very filling, comfortable big area as a restaurant. Loved it!

Cleanliness is their weak spot here. The floor was dusty,dirty, even the bed sheets was crumbly, dirty,stain.. far from spotless :( Big dirty stain on the carpet,next to bathroom floor (??) The bathroom was smelly, probably the drain.. and not airing. Air condition didnt work, nor heating!! Thanks God it was good temperature out,so not cold in...tv didnt switch on either Noise from the corridor,next door came very loudly. Noise cancellation only works from outside.

The free airport shuttle was great. We were just sorry we didn't know about this beforehand. The room is comfortable with a nice working space and breakfast was great.

Better communication about transport to the hotel from the airport would have been great, especially since there is a free shuttle service between the hotel and airport. I enquired about buses/trains we could use to the hotel, but never received an answer, with the result that we took an unnecessarily expensive Uber to the hotel. Fortunately we saw the notices about the free shuttle at the hotel and were able to take that back to the airport the following morning.

Excellent front desk staff, quiet, and comfortable room & bed, convenient to Schiphol Airport with a free shuttle to and from airport.. Very good lighting. There appear to be several places to obtain food, and when we were there many others were stranded by the storm and a delicious buffet dinner was put on for guests. KLM provided room and meal vouchers for many stranded travelers. Cost of meal was modest and definitely worth the price. I requested a wake-up call early the next morning - that was easy to set up and came promptly.

The restaurant was not open, which was disappointing, but the buffet dinner put on in another room was very good.

It is spacious, bed is comfortable, there is a 24/7 mini self service store. There’s food facility available in the building thought it’s pricey but convenient. The lounge was spacious as well and there is a free iron service which I didn’t need to use but it’s good to know it’s there. The lay out is nice. The shuttle that is included when you book here. There is enough storage for your luggage underneath the desk/long table.

There is no power plug on bedside it is only available in one of the bedside, they should have spread it properly. They could have provided 2 chairs at least in the 4 bedded room where I rented. The cleaners doesn’t speak English and they start cleaning really early so I don’t and up having them to clean my room in my whole stay there neither my towels were replaced .

The room was fine for a one or two night stay. The fact that you could open the window in the room for fresh air was a bonus, and the room overlooked a green space with a pond. This was peaceful. The other convenient aspect of the Hotel was that it had escalators in addition to their elevator. You did not have to wait for an elevator if you just wanted to move from floor to floor. The location of the Hotel, close to the Airport and the use of their airport shuttle made our visit to and from Amsterdam run smoothly. It was great.

The room could have been larger and also have a coffee machine.

Location was great! Shuttle to and from the airport is great. Rooms are small but comfortable have everything you need.

I was told I could check in early after 12 for free. I got there bang on 12 and the women at the desk said I had to pay. I showed her the messages from the hotel and they made me feel like it was my fault. They did honour it but they made me sign up to their loyalty program. I didn’t really want to. This is my only annoyance. Also I didn’t get any of the information about the facilities in the hotel. I just overheard the guy checking in next to me getting the full download.

Firstly, the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. I am in a wheelchair♿️. A big shout out to Zoe at reception for her friendliness and attention to our needs. Robert (Anwar) too was excellent helping us with our room and the reception at breakfast by a true gentleman from Gabon was superb. Many thanks to all the staff. The facilities here merit a four star hotel. Modern, clean and spacious. The reception area in particular was a delight. Breakfast and the burger cafe was a bit on the expensive side but we didn't mind paying. Truly, a great experience.

The air-conditioning was super efficient at keeping the temperature to a level which suited an Icelandic. But that's probably good when summer really kicks in.
