Amsterdam was the first stop from our entire Europe Trip and it was our first time experience with IBIS abroad. We were well received and the lady at the reception at that time was really helpful where she explained in detail by outlining the key city spots and some travel tips. Even though it was a budget hotel , we never felt an uncomfortable situation with our stay and the facilities provided. Interesting factors what we witnessed during the stay are two things one the bfast was served from 4 AM onwards and there was a shuttle bus at free of cost at every 5 min interval. From our entire travel experience we have rated IBIS as the best based on these 2 key facilities which is very significant from a travellers perspective since we were able to save money on both Food and local Travel.

My wife made my reservation. She sent several requests to the hotel via messaging to ask that my name also be put on the reservation and also asking for directions to find the shuttle to the hotel from the airport. She only received an automated response from customer service that didn’t answer her questions. She then called and the front desk said they were too busy to help her. They should automatically have instructions on how to find the shuttle the minute your reservation is confirmed.

The hotel had everything we needed coming to the end of a long holiday - nice breakfast, multiple restaurants, lounge areas, fitness rooms, outdoor areas, laundry facilities, souvenir shop and a well-stocked minimart. The room was comfortable, and the shuttle to the airport was fantastic. The staff were absolutely incredible, couldn’t have asked for a nicer team to welcome us each morning.

Despite there being plenty of facilities, there was no water refill station so we had to buy water from the mini-mart, and if we wanted to refill it we had to use our bathroom sink as not even the bar could give us cold water. Prices in the laundry & minimart were extortionate, and they’re quite naughty for not providing tea/coffee stations in the rooms yet charging €3 for a tea in the lounge!

Location, close to the airport. The hotel also provides scheduled, free bus service to and from the airport. The time schedule also spans Lobby is spacious and comfortable, equipped with self-service vending machines. Good value for service at the price that we paid, considering the bus shuttle service, closeness to the airport, and breakfast service. For breakfast, a vast option of light meals, such as croissants, eggs, sausages, fruits, and multiple options of hot drinks were available.

Due to its close proximity, we heard airport-related loudness more often than we want to. Therefore, those who are light-sleepers may feel disturbed. The left bottom corner of the bed of the room that we were in (#1316), had a sharp edge that cuts my calf and caused minor bleeding. Fortunately, it happened to me only and not to my young children. As a precaution, we put one of the towels to cover the sharp edge, to reduce the chance of it hurting any of us again. Furnitures and bathroom in the room is a bit outdated.

Hotel is about 15 minutes from Schiphol. The bus is convenient right outside the door. Big buses which is nice. I was traveling with my dog and needed grass for her. This hotel has lots of grass and opportunity for a walk close to the hotel. There is no grass around the airport or even a dog relieve area. Pick this hotel if you are traveling with your pet. The Sheraton allows dogs but there is not one touch of grass anywhere near. Citizen M doesn’t allow dogs. Breakfast is free and a great spread that goes till noon. Big plus!!

Rooms are small but your are in Europe. No hand towels not a super big deal. Shower is a step into the tub shower. No problem for me but my mom couldn’t stay there for that reason so just FYI

room was clean, bed was fine, good water pressure in shower, decent towels, shuttle service to airport was convenient and timely and staff helpful in obtaining a fan for the room for the night.

did not catch that booked a room without AC, that info could be better indicated, also when checked out, asked for paper copy of paid receipt, but front desk said would be emailed. I did not receive copy by email and but took several follow-up emails to hotel to finally get a copy of the paid receipt. It would have been preferred if front desk would have just printed out a copy as requested.

Desk/receptionist guy was very nice,friendly. Made a mistake and gave us a room which was already occupied (or still), they didnt even know..just when we went up, all belongings were there..the receptionist guy was upgrading our room to Superior, was a great gesture. Thank you (however the room was not that clean) It was in the calmer wing, Sweet wing and had a very nice, compfy bed :)) Convenient as all restaurant, bar is avalable. The breakfast was sooo lovely, very filling, comfortable big area as a restaurant. Loved it!

Cleanliness is their weak spot here. The floor was dusty,dirty, even the bed sheets was crumbly, dirty,stain.. far from spotless :( Big dirty stain on the carpet,next to bathroom floor (??) The bathroom was smelly, probably the drain.. and not airing. Air condition didnt work, nor heating!! Thanks God it was good temperature out,so not cold in...tv didnt switch on either Noise from the corridor,next door came very loudly. Noise cancellation only works from outside.

The free airport shuttle was great. We were just sorry we didn't know about this beforehand. The room is comfortable with a nice working space and breakfast was great.

Better communication about transport to the hotel from the airport would have been great, especially since there is a free shuttle service between the hotel and airport. I enquired about buses/trains we could use to the hotel, but never received an answer, with the result that we took an unnecessarily expensive Uber to the hotel. Fortunately we saw the notices about the free shuttle at the hotel and were able to take that back to the airport the following morning.

Convenient location near airport ( very efficient and regular free shuttle), and there is a bus station across the road with convenient service to many cities. Rooms were comfortable, and clean. Good buffet breakfast ( and a good buffet dinner for purchase at €25). Lots of comfortable seating areas, including a lovely deck over a pond. Staff were all excellent and very friendly

A little bit of noise in corridors at night. In fairness, this is typical of airport locations with people checking in and out at odd times.

Excellent front desk staff, quiet, and comfortable room & bed, convenient to Schiphol Airport with a free shuttle to and from airport.. Very good lighting. There appear to be several places to obtain food, and when we were there many others were stranded by the storm and a delicious buffet dinner was put on for guests. KLM provided room and meal vouchers for many stranded travelers. Cost of meal was modest and definitely worth the price. I requested a wake-up call early the next morning - that was easy to set up and came promptly.

The restaurant was not open, which was disappointing, but the buffet dinner put on in another room was very good.
