The location could not be more perfect for access to the night market and the old town, while still being a "quiet yet lively" area with bars, restaurants and ATMs nearby. The office for booking tours and vans for onward travel are next store and they know the hotel owners, so coordinating travel and activities is very easy. The owners are extremely kind - they will go out of their way to make sure that you are well-talen-care of, and they stay on site, so they are often available for anything that comes up. The husband's English is very good, he will talk with you and tell you about local life if you are interested :-) Also, the included breakfast was a great start to every morning. Overall very high value for money here.

I've been to Luang Prabang many times before, staying in various hotels with a much higher price tag than this. However, I really enjoyed Villa Merry, due to it's location (right next door you have a few great restaurants, such as & Koji, Comma coffee, Pizza place, Zurich Bread, etc.), immaculate cleanliness, beautiful rooms, comfortable beds and beautiful views on Puxi hill and a mountains on another side. Complementary breakfast was fine too, we would get eggs and fresh fruit with a coffee every morning. Mr Sam who is the owner of the place, is such a pleasant host. He speaks very good English and would help us out when we needed. I will definitely be back here, it's a great value for money.

Very lovely owners helped us coordinate everything from train tickets to restaurant recommendations to finding where to donate some of our items to the healthcare system. Very clean rooms, nice view on the top floor, cleaning and servicing of the rooms on a daily basis. Included breakfast was also high quality - banana pancakes and omelette in particular were regular orders for us over our 5 days. Walking distance from the historic district, the night market, and the boat to visit across the river.

Staff were lovely, the older man on reception was very welcoming and offered lots of advice of the local area. Location of the property is great you come out and have a lovely selection of bars and restaurants. We asked to use their laundry service and all our clothes were cleaned and ready within half a day. Would highly recommend staying here in visiting Luang Prabang.

Sometimes the shower would go extremely hot and when you turned down it would go freezing. Was hard to find a happy medium.

Enjoyed our stay at Villa Merry. Sam was very hospitable and helpful. He gave us needed information, suggested where to buy train tickets. He was always there to greet us and help us. The breakfast was good with a variety of eggs as a main dish. The location was on the opposite side of the mountain but a short walk from the main part of town. Walking into town there was always a pleasant view of the Nam Khan river.

Excellent location, walking distance to lots of heritage sites. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed the banana pancakes for breakfast too! No tea and coffee in the room but it was available 24/7 in the breakfast area.

It does have a bit of a hostel feel and the rooms are quite dated although it was perfectly adequate for our needs.

The location was great, very conveneint to tourist sites but slightly removed from the hustle and bustle. Variety of food nearby and close the the grocery store if you need to pick up some things for the room.

Would love to see a latch (or Chain lock) on the door as my child was able to open the door and walk out of the room.

We loved our stay here. Beautiful place. Very nice owner very helpful and warm and welcoming. Room was so nice. The bed was so comfy. Nice terrace to look out on the city. Spotless clean. Excellent location close to everything in Luang Prabang. Highly recommend. Excellent value. Great breakfast in the morning. Nice crispy baguette made fresh that morning

The hotel is manage directly by the owner, which makes everything more personal and personalized. Breakfast was good, room size was good and hotel is close to main touristic attractions. Owner gave several recommendations as well as helped me booking another property when he became sold out for the additional night requested (even negotiated a discount vs what was on the website)

The owner was n incredibly kind and caring person! We had an amazing 4 night stay with him and his staff. They treat you as their own family and will help you plan anything and everything. If you are staying in Luang Prabang we highly recommend staying here! Also it was the most comfortable bed we have had in SE Asia so far!
