The Staff were absolutely incredible and our holiday would not have been half as good had it not been for them. They were SO kind, helpful and accommodating in every possible way, from the waiters, to the reception staff to the cleaners and to the security guard. We are very grateful to them. Our room was beautiful and very relaxing as is the hotel in general.

There was a lot of noise in and outside of the hotel. This was mainly due to traffic such as cars, trucks, quadbikes, motorcycles, taxis etc. There were also some loud, inconsiderate or drunken guests inside the hotel during part of our stay.

Hotel Punta Nayaa is an absolute dream! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality and breathtaking views. The location is unbeatable—right by the ocean, with stunning sunsets and a peaceful atmosphere that makes it the perfect getaway. A special shoutout to Capitán Vargas, who went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. His knowledge and assistance truly enhanced our experience, making every moment feel special. And we can’t thank Omar Franco enough for his kindness and exceptional service—always welcoming, always helpful, and ensuring that we had everything we needed throughout our stay. The rooms were comfortable and beautifully designed, the food was fresh and delicious, and the overall vibe of the hotel was pure relaxation. If you’re looking for the best place to stay in Puerto Escondido, Hotel Punta Nayaa is it! We’ll definitely be coming back! Highly recommended.

The property is even more gorgeous in person. It’s thoughtfully designed. It’s close to everything in Zicatela and was mostly quiet at night. The a/c in the room worked well. The shower and toilet are actually behind a door that is open air with a screen, which I didn’t realize from the photos but it was pretty cool. The screen kept all the bugs out. There are roosters in the am and you can hear the dogs and insects at night, which I personally liked and made me feel more connected to the nature of the surrounding area. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. I had a late flight, and they let me store my luggage and use the shower on the rooftop before departing. Nespresso pods are included in the room, but there is no fridge. Note the restaurant in the hotel closes at 5pm, but there are so many options a 10 min walk away.

The road to arrive is very rough. One taxi driver charged me more because of that. You have to pack your sense of adventure/lean into getting dirty when walking to/from Zicatela and the beach. There is no clear or paved path. I just crossed through a path that went through an empty property for sale. For me it was fun, but I could see how it would be difficult from an accessibility standpoint, also when it rains, and requires a flashlight at night. This isn’t necessarily a downside, but there is no elevator and you have to bring your luggage up and down the stairs. The staff were always willing to help.

Gorgeous hotel, very serene, peaceful, great location (despite what some folks say, this is actually situated perfectly to the beach). Looks even better in person!

Only complaint was surrounding roosters crowing loudly early every morning. But also, that’s the vibe of Punta!

We loved staying at Punta Nayaa! The hotel is stunning with amazing views over the pacific and the jungle. The hotel has a beautiful infinity pool and is very stylish in general. The people woeking there are super professional, friendly and helpful! The food and drinks offered at the hotel‘s restaurant are as well a huge plus!

Food was a little pricey but good. Also would love if they pave the roads bc it gets hard walking there in muddy/ dirt terrain.

The room was massive, clean and beautiful. Giant Tv screen as well :) only a short walk from the beach. Super relaxing, and great staff.

The only comment was that the food could have been better.

Everything is good but the noise from chicken and dogs are very crazy, and the road to hotel is unbuild
