This hotel is centrally located on 5th Avenue and surrounded by restaurants, bars and tourists; despite this, the rooms are quiet. The staff is very friendly and ready to help with information if needed. The hotel is small, comfortable and includes breakfast in a restaurant located just steps from the hotel. The room, adequate for our needs, includes a small refrigerator, coffee maker and beach towels. It is a hotel to consider for a short vacation in Playa del Carmen. Recommended!

More than anything, an observation. The room (Luna), although adequate, did not correspond faithfully with the photos shown on Booking.

The staff was very helpful at all time. The location is great, right in the middle of 5th ave but you get some noise till late. ( better to avoid getting a room in the ground level close to the reception since you hear everything and everyone who walks in & out. The breakfast is served next door at the Italian restaurant which is owned by the same person. Breakfast includes coffee, Oj, fruit salad, yoghurt, muesli, toast, jam & butter….. very nice with great service. You’ll receive a 30% discount voucher if you choose to dine at the Italian restaurant at any time and we did it and enjoyed the dinners very much. There are great wood fire pizzas and pastas. The hotel provides a filtered water which is great since you can not use tap water in Mexico.

We woke up in the morning and noticed all our clothes felt dump due the high humidity in that building/ hotel which was not ideal. Our room was at level 1 near the reception and could constantly Hear the noise of the guests coming in & out through the door and dealing with the reception.

The location was perfect, customer service of the staff was exceptional, and the esthetics of the hotel was so unique and breath taking. Where they do the continental breakfast. The service is so great. You get 20% off if your order food. Shout out to Saul who always went above and beyond. We would go back and bring/buy a mattress topper.

If i had yo gripe...it would be due to how uncomfortably hard the bed was.. At first I thought it was me but then my husband was complaining too. Also, the wifi was really weak and spotty. It was probably a good thing because it forced us to rest and disconnect more but I still need my wifi.

Location was right in the thick of playa del Carmens tourist district, but surprisingly the room remained quiet. The hotel was a calm oasis in the chaos! Bed was comfy and the bathroom was clean :) Staff were really friendly and provided breakfast at a nearby restaurant which was also charming and friendly :) A great location for catching the ferry across to Cozumel and not too far from the ADO station (maybe a 15-20 minute walk) Would stay again :)

The electricity went down twice during our stay but it was no fault of the hotel, the whole street went down. It was a little bit inconvenient, but again, not the hotels fault at all!

The decoration was very beautiful and relax. The location was very convenient the room was clean Staff were very helpful

We was giving a room, we went in to check it out, there was smell of mold. Since my daughter has a health condition, we brought it up to the front desk and they gave us another one. Since the second room just got the AC running as we got it, so we thought it was okay that no mold smell. However, as staying in there for about 5 minutes, I could smell the mold was coming out from the AC. We asked to change again or replacing the AC filter but they said it was the last room available, and no to replacing the AC filter.

Perfect location. The Wi-Fi in the room was functional. Reasonable price. Close to the beach. Most staff were friendly. Cleaning was good. An iron was available. Breakfast was minimal but still good. The shower was well-designed. Creative design of the hotel. The cable carried so many channels, and the TV was good.

The building is old. The paint and interior of the room look slightly aged. Gives an impression of being unclean (The room service and cleaning were good though). Breakfast was minimal but still good. No pool or gym. Soap and shampoo are of average quality. Very small window in the garden view room. You need to basically get out! which is not bad for PDC. I had a fridge but the guy said some rooms do not have so check with them before going if it matters to you.

best location directly on the 5th, my room was in the back, no noise after 10pm. Before there was life musik from the restaurant next door, which I actually enjoyed. Also they have a water dispenser, which is super. Breakfast was in Il Italiano and super basic, they want you to purchase extra, but it's OK, I don't eat breakfast usually. Only went twice from 5 nights.

Bathroom was super small, and there was no space to put my things, a shelf would have been very useful. Also room was super dark, and TV was small and didn't work, they took 3 days to replace it. They put a lot of detail to the decoration.

Gorgeous oasis in the middle of the busiest street in playa del carmen - I stayed in another hotel in playa after this one and had a bit of a shock. Posada mariposa was so much better in almost every way - the room was quiet despite the hotel being so central, the bed was comfortable, air conditioning perfect temperature and the continental breakfast at a nearby restaurant was simple (fresh fruit, granola, toast, coffee and OJ) but absolutely delicious. The reception staff were all kind, welcoming and helpful. Bathroom facilities were basic but I think standard for the region so no complaints! If you want to be close to the action and the beach but still want to get a good nights sleep - thoroughly recommend!

We booked the Monarca Suite and it was a great choice! The taras was quiet and private even though the hotel is placed on the busy 5th Avenue. We loved hanging out there in the morning and listened to the birds and jungle music. The room was clean and very specious. The hot tub was an amazing bonus and we loved chilling there in the evenings. No problem with the hot water. The hall of the hotel is beautifully designed and we loved all the plants growing there. Filtered water at the reception was a great extra. The staff were accommodating, helpful and very friendly. We appreciated the light and healthy breakfast! It was always a great start to the day!

Good location and a lovely lobby area. Quite peaceful given the location which is in heart of bustling tourist street. Water dispenser in lobby very handy, staff super helpful and accommodating, gave great recommendations for places to eat. They also very helpful with arranging tours, cost no more than on the street. Tours were excellent. Good if you want to be in heart of action, hotel was quiet given location.

Not really a dislike, but some of the side streets looked like they would be more peaceful. Also restaurants along street not good value, much better to ask for recommendations
