The hotel is beautiful, very good value for money and in a great location and we always felt very safe. Elena was so helpful with recommendations. We would recommend anyone to stay here!

We were told 15 mins before our transfer to the airport that we needed to pay for the bikes in cash (which we didn’t have as we were leaving). We know we had to pay for the bikes but it wasn’t helpful to tell us we needed cash 15 mins before leaving the hotel when we had checked out a few hours before.

Very nice boutique hotel in Tulum city center with unique and rustic charm, roof top pool and bar are the best. Hotel staff are very friending and helpful. We initially booked a beach hotel and we were cancelled almost at last minute and rebook this one. We are so glad we did, this is very good value and quiet at night which is important to a light sleeper like me.

Continental breakfast is practically nothing with just bread, jam and coffee, no protein at all. You will have to order from menu.The offering in the menu is quite limited and high priced, for example, you only get 1 filling for the omelet, adding cheese has extra charge which is really strange. We ate at a restaurant next day, just a short walk from hotel and it was fantastic.

right on the main drag for most of the good restaurants in the city center. Just a few minute drive from the hotel to all of the cenotes. 15 minute drive to the beach. for the price of this hotel you can afford to pay for and try a different beach club each day on the beach vs the crazy hotel beach and food prices. Staff at the hotel was amazing.

coffee is upstairs on the roof, while breakfast is downstairs in the lobby, which means you are constantly having to wait for one or the other to be served, wasn't a fan of the eggs and bread breakfast. fortunately there is an excellent mexican breakfast joint "la fonda" to the right as you go out the door. Also, no coffee was available until 8 am, fortunately you can walk to the 7/11 around the corner if you are up really early, or there is a espresso bar in the restaurant next to la fonda.

The hotel is at a great location in Tulum center. There are many restaurants and bars very close by and if you don't have a car you can take the collectivos to go to the beach, to visit cenotes or other towns north or south of Tulum. The staff was amazing. They were very helpful in arranging our transport, giving us tips for activities and visits, they checked on us daily through WhatsApp and in person to see if we needed anything. We had breakfast included, it was simple but delicious and more than enough. The roof-top pool and the bar were also very nice. A minor inconvenience was that we had the room on the ground floor, next to the reception and the small pool. While we had a nice view of the pool and the small waterfall, we had to keep our curtains shut the whole time as there were people passing by. Also there was no exterior area for us to dry our swimwear.

The location was great because it is right in the centre. This means that it is close to nice restaurants and the bus station. The pool area upstairs is really nice. The breakfast was simple but really good! Room with cute little balcony was also really nice.

Firstly the front office staff. They are passive agressive, really not approachable so really not welcoming or helpful. It just seems like you’re bothering them all the time. Our room didn’t get cleaned and instead of apologizing they told us it was our fault cause we didn’t put the “clean my room” sign which we didn’t even get/was not in our room 😅 so when we told them they dismissed us and just said “yes it is”. This is only the 2 young girls and guy at the reception. The older Italian lady is lovely and was so helpful! All the other staff were also great! Another thing was the shower, it fluctuated between warm and cold all the time.

Lovely property located just outside the hotel zone and a short ride from the beach. Absolutely adored the intimate boutique experience that allowed for such personalized concierge service!! All the staff was super friendly and accommodating and helpful. The food was a delight as were the drinks. Loved that you were in walking distance of a little strip of shops, bars, restaurants and clubs.The room itself was a little small but expected for a boutique property. There was still plenty space for 2 adults and our luggage. Room highlight was the bathroom. The shower is a fantasy for couples!! 10/10 would absolutely recommend

This place was beautiful! We had everything we needed and more! All of the staff were super helpful, very nice and informative and even made a few local recommendations. They helped with car service needs and just about anything else we needed. The food was amazing and the room service was outstanding! The rooftop pool was a perfect addition with plenty of day beds, seated options with tables and lounge chairs and you get your own server with a rooftop bar for drinks and food options. We will def be back to this property!

Only thing I would change is a daily list of charges for the property instead of getting a receipt for each and every item we ordered. Eventually just end up losing track of things. On one particular day I think we signed 10 different receipts. A running tab per day would be ideal. Other than this small inconvenience everything else was outstanding!

I made this my home for a week The rooftop is gorgeous and the perfect place to spend the day. I spent a lot of time there! They had many different playlists that they rotated and it was a really nice variety of music. Antonio, Oscar, and Marco were all so nice every time I saw them. They brought me many drinks and food. The front desk staff are really nice and helpful. There were 3 of them (Elena, Connie, and another I can't remember) and they were always kind and had good suggestions. Breakfast was pretty good. They have some pretty strict rules about visitors and the pool and I'm glad because it made my stay more pleasant. The beds are really comfortable and it's a very quiet hotel. It definitely helps that it's Adults Only. The linens were very clean and replaced anytime you wanted. The rooms were clean and I loved the bathroom and shower. Really great rain showerhead and excellent water pressure. I never use the toiletries in hotels because they usually smell so fake and overpowering but these were great, subtle scent, and didn't destroy my hair or skin. The location is really great and central, close to everything except the beach. I didn't mind because I went to the beach once and that was enough for me. I would highly recommend this hotel! I even told me friend that I don't need to go back to Tulum with so many other places to travel, but I honestly would go back just to stay at Layla again.

The only thing to be aware of is on Friday and Saturday nights there is someplace nearby playing music with heavy bass and it's hard to fall asleep with that. Other than that it's very quiet.

I recently stayed at Hotel Layla in Tulum, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I walked in, the staff were world-class - truly A+ service all around. The reception team was warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. The bartenders made incredible drinks, and the housekeeping staff kept everything impeccably clean. Every single person went out of their way to ensure my stay was perfect. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, blending modern elegance with a relaxed, Moroccan vibe. It’s a place where you can unwind in style. I would absolutely recommend Hotel Layla to anyone visiting Tulum. I will definitely be telling my friends to stay here when they come to visit. Looking forward to returning!

I spoke directly with the incredible GM of the hotel about a slight issue at the begging of my stay which was handled perfectly and sorted within the first few hours - I’m sure they will remember so I hope other guests can benefit too from the feedback!

We stayed here for 5 nights as part of our honeymoon and absolutely loved this beautiful boutique hotel. All of the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive and we couldn’t have asked for more in terms of service. The food was equally delicious and definitely something to try, as well as the happy hour cocktails. The room was very clean, with a beautiful shower (slightly exposed if you’re shy🙈), and smelt great. We had breakfast included which was really nice and a good few options. We would love to stay again in the future.

We went during a quieter time so it was fine for us but there’s not too much room for sunbathing although we didn’t do much of this due to having lots of lovely activities and exploring to do.
