Most comfortable bed I have ever slept in, in Mexico, EVER. Everything is high quality like you would have in your own home. The sheets, the comforters, the pillows. It’s is a beautiful old colonial property, completely redone with modern amenities and stylish, minimal but comfortable design and furnishings. It’s pet friendly and the people owning and working here are very kind and accommodating. I stayed in 3 different rooms over 6 nights and I hated to leave. I am an interior designer, I am particular about everything and I thought this place was wonderful. Great Job!

The perfect stay! Fantastic location, incredible rooms, all tastefully decorated, great pool and very helpful staff! We loved the included breakfast too. It was honestly an exceptional hotel and perfectly located to walk into the centre of Merida or Paseo de Montejo. Great restaurants nearby too! I can not recommend highly enough! Thank you!

There was no car park with the hotel although we easily found parking on the street a few metres away and the staff told us about a private parking lot that had space for us if we preferred, but the street was fine! Very safe too.

My wife and i just returned from a week in Merida, anchored by this wonderful hotel. The owners and staff embodied the traits we have come to love in the Yucatecans; friendly, helpful, kind,with a little Italian thrown in,as in a full coffee menu available free all day upon request.Our room was spacious with a great bed ,pillows,linens.Relaxing common areas and nooks,and a pool that is an actual pool,(not a large bath tub).All in all Acqua in Bocca fits like a favorite shoe;all day comfort,and style to boot.Oh,and the location is probably the best in the entire city; equidistant from the Zocalo and the Paseo. And check out the price..Well done! .

This hotel is amazing. Beautiful calming decor. Convenient location close to shops and restaurants. Lovely large room with excellent shower. Great swimming pool area. Efficient wifi. Best coffee we've experienced in Mexico on request. Numerous TV chanels (in English!). And incredibly helpful friendly staff. Just book it!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel and could not recommend it highly enough. The owner was a perfect host and on-hand to make sure we had everything we needed. Every member of staff was friendly, helpful and really took pride in their work, even booking a great tour on our behalf, Our suite was beautiful, tastefully decorated with a fantastic terrace overlooking the pool. The location was perfect and the hotel was quiet and tranquil, but close to bars and restaurants. It was our favourite hotel during our three weeks in Mexico. The complimentary continental breakfast was an added bonus and totally unexpected, I wished we'd stayed longer.

This is an exceptional little boutique hotel! Gino, the owner, sets a great example for his caring staff. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the location is superb, right by the wonderful Santa Lucia square with its numerous restaurants, and halfway between the Grand Plaza and the start of the Paseo Montejo. Nice pool which, unfortunately, we did not get to use. Coffee ( good, strong Italian coffee) water all day long available in lobby. Plus a nice continental breakfast spread in the morning. Yoga available daily at 8 am and 5 pm. My only regret is not staying more than two nights!

A Remarkable experience, from a friendly and competent staff, a unique, modern property that was clean, well appointed and extremely quiet and restful. Rooms are spacious, with sitting/reading chairs( a rare commodity in hotels nowadays) and soundproofing. The location is close to both the Centro area and the restaurants and shops just south of the Paseo Montejo. The staff are what really makes Acquainbocca stand out. Each staff member is gracious, accommodating, knowledgeable and professional. Run by a hotel manager with an international resume, it is a well run establishment. Kudos, especially to Adriana, Daniela, Coe, and today's birthday girl! Gino, the hotel manager has instilled a casually efficient hospitality team.

This boutique hotel looks even better in real life! The owners Gino & Danielle are incredibly hospitable, helpful and extremely hardworking. You can tell they have trained the staff to hold up the same traits. There is someone there 24hrs a day always ready to assist you! The place has been open about a year and a half, yet still felt very new. When I arrived I was greeted with a bottle of cold water and a cappuccino - they have a wonderful coffee machine and will make you complimentary espresso based drinks. The rooms are spacious and very clean. All have private and separate bathrooms! For the last couple of nights I stayed in a suite with a large balcony attached which in turn has a fan, table and chairs as well as a hanging chair and plants!!! From the balcony I could see the beautiful shaded pool which was a very welcomed amenity in the April heat :) Can’t wait to come back !!!

Everything. Best hotel I have ever stayed in. Saltwater pool very important for me as I'm sensitive to pools with lots of chlorine so I was able to enjoy this one for hours without any worries. Stayed in Merida for AFHF 2024 in the heat of June and I am so thankful I splurged out on a nice hotel because there was nothing I wanted to do out and about in the June heat. Worst time of year to be there but this luxury hotel made it bearable, and enjoyable even. Walkable neighbourhood with lots of restaurants, cafes, and shops nearby. Hotel was not offering breakfast or food but they did make espresso drinks and have cold bottled water. The mini fridge worked well and I was able to stock it with snacks from the local supermarket so I was sorted. Air conditioning got super cold worked very very well

Location and staff are absolutely perfect, and the hotel itself fulfills all requirements for a great stay in the city of Merida. Room is very large, bed comfy, toilet separated from shower is useful too. Small bottles of water every time we returned to the hotel was a great gesture. Definitely book this place, we stayed for 6 nights and will definitely return here if ever in Merida again.

Wifi signal in room isn’t always equally strong, and once the cleaners hung our wet towel (which was on the floor) against our clothes on the wall. Not great, but maybe a one-time thing.
