The location is amazing, 5 mins walk to Rembrandtpl or Waterloopl, metro, tram, supermarkets and bars, cafes and shops on the streets nearby. Facing the Amstel, the apartment is located in an island of tranquility overlooking the hussle and bussle of the city. You are in the heart of the city but away but away from the crazyness, you can take a coffee to the bench and watch the city wake in the morning. You can walk almost everywhere in the city centre in 20-30 mins. The apartment is perfectly sized, spacious for this city, with quality furnishings and all the amenities you will need for week's stay. the bed is comfy, plenty of space to unpack your things and a small kitchenette to prepare meals. There isn't a stove due to fire regs, but I was still able to eat many meals in the apartment. Tastefully designed with a view into the river. The apartment is impeccably clean and organised, it makes staying here really easy. The host, Guido, was professional, friendly and flexible in his communication, you can feel the pride he has in his apartment and his joy in enabling visitors to experiance a slice of it. Guido lives upstairs and was available to welcome me and to say goodbye, we had a great chat and he was meticulous in explaining how to get the best out of my stay. Otherwise I didn't see Guido, so I still had my privacy and independence. I consider myself lucky to have found this place and to have stayed there. I have stayed in many hotels and apartments in Amsterdam, and I would definitely stay here again if it was available. If it is available for your dates, I advise you to book it before it goes.

I bought a 5 days travel pass, but the location is so good I hardly used it. Sad to leave

Location was exceptional, Lovely bench over looking the Amstel river right at your door step! Host was Absolutely brilliant and gave us an extensive guide on the local area. Apartment had anything you could think of needing as well as a bottle of wine left for us in the fridge! Will definitely be booking again when we return to Amsterdam!

Close to everything. 30 minute walk or less by tram/metro/train to Central, Rijks, anywhere "center city". Clean apartment with everything a couple needs. Close to Albert Heijne store to buy groceries.

The location was perfect. It was central to everything, but yet still "off the beaten track" enough to be one of the more quiet streets, which is surprising, given that it's beautifully situated on the corner of a canal and the Amstel River. There's a bench out front where we could have spent all day taking in the view. The apartment is warm and cosy, has excellent facilities for storing and heating food. We liked the fact that we had our own door in and out from the street. We were given a lovely bottle of wine on arrival (this was a late honeymoon after our original one had to be cancelled, so I don't know if this is common practice, but it was a lovely touch). Guido and Hans were nothing short of helpful and friendly throughout. We highly recommend this apartment and will return ourselves as soon as we can.

The only thing we didn't like was having to come home!

The apartment is in a very beautiful part of Amsterdam, right where the river and canal meet, and in easy walking distance to everything. It is a very nice, clean, well set-up apartment. The owner, Guido is very helpful and has thought of everything. Would highly recommend staying there.

Lovely little apartment on a quieter street while being a short walk away from quite literally everything. We loved enjoying our morning coffee on the bench out front and watching the boats go by. The service from Guido can not go unsaid, incredibly welcoming; his personal touch is becoming a lost art in this modern world.

The location was superb, walking distance to everything. The apartment was clean and perfectly suited all our needs. The host, Guido was so thoughtful and kind providing recommedations. This exceeded all our expectations. We highly recommend.

The apartment is more spacious and fancy than what we could tell from the pictures. It's very cozy, clean and placed in the big heart of the amazing Amsterdam. We loved the neighbourhood and made our way through the city by foot because everything is within walking distance from the apartment. We were welcomed by Hans who was very helpful, handing us a folder with travel tips and showing us around the city map. He was also very patient with us - coming from the train station, we initially thought we would get to the apartment by tram or bus, but after realising that the apartment was only 18 minutes away, we got there by walking.

This is not really an issue, just letting you know. There are no windows, but there is a table fan. So apart from the outside door (*made out of glass and with a built-in small ventilation grille, so there's no need to panic if you’re claustrophobic), the bathroom fan and the table fan, it's rather hard to properly ventilate the apartment. Nonetheless, the windy and rainy weather in Amsterdam make the lack of windows not important.

A house designed to touch the human soul at every point, like the city of Amsterdam.. I will never forget the view of the canal from the charming bench in front of the house as long as I live. Thank you Guido!!
