We truly loved our stay at this hotel. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, with fresh-smelling sheets that made us feel right at home. The beds were excellent for a good night’s rest. The location was perfect—close to restaurants, shopping, grocery stores, and train stations, making it very convenient to get around. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating throughout our stay. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we would happily stay here again!

During our stay, the lift stopped working, so we had to carry our luggage down the stairs at checkout. Luckily, we didn’t have large suitcases, so it turned into a bit of unexpected exercise rather than a hassle.

Our accommodation in Amsterdam was absolutely perfect for our needs. The location couldn’t have been better — just a short, easy walk to Central Station with frequent trams nearby, making it effortless to get around the city. Although it’s a bustling part of town, that energy only added to the charm. Overlooking a picturesque canal, with a lively café-bar on the corner and shopping right at our doorstep, it felt like we were immersed in the true Amsterdam experience. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to be close to everything while soaking up the local vibe.

The elevator was out of service, but hey good exercise climbing those stairs!

Location was great, rooms were large, and front desk staff were very accommodating. They have a free washer and dryer in the basement (just need to supply your own detergent—this was great for a quick refresh of clothes). Rooms were a little warm as there was no adjustability of temp (not sure there was AC).

Elevate broke the day we arrived, out of service for the two days were we there. Thankfully they put us on the first floor, but we had to carry up the smaller bags—they were nice enough to bring up the larger luggage (family of 5 with two rooms just coming off an 11 day cruise—lots of luggage). They did not refresh the linens or make the beds during our stay.

The location of this hotel could not be more perfect - next to a canal, with a local pub on the corner, a short tram ride from the station. It’s right on the border of the tourist areas and a more local neighborhood - walk one direction to get to all the tourist stuff, but walk the other to pass a university and explore little streets of the more “real” Amsterdam. The staff was super friendly and the hotel has character and doesn’t feel at all like a touristy chain. The price is very good value, especially considering the cost of the upscale hotel just on the other side of the little side street. Would stay here again in a second!

This place is amazing. The room was a good size for myself and my 2 children. We could use the kitchen for making meals. The location was close to museums and right in the heart of Amsterdam. there is a supermarket right downstairs which stocks most things. On rainy days the reception staff offered us umbrellas, in the evenings, there were often treats to take for free. The reception staff were the best anywhere. Special thanks to Christian, who went above and beyond for us. The first night I ordered pizza to the wrong address and he ran outside in the rain to help find it. On our second night, my son had an allergic reaction, and Christian called the ambulance and helped us tremendously, checking in and making sure everything was well.

The location is perfect, and the staff were very friendly - they were happy to provide use of the washing machine (much cheaper than even going to a laundromat!) and also because of the length of the stay added little things like a couple of breakfasts, which went a long way. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

Amsterdam’s expensiveness means what you get here is what you’d get from a 4, even 5 star hotel for similar price in other cities. This isn’t necessarily something the property can help, but it’s more keenly felt with some things like the lack of good AC and the general aged feelings of the rooms.

Overall, this is an excellent hotel. The customer service from the front desk provided everything that was asked if they had it. It is an older building and getting to your room was an adventure because it's like a maze, which kept us on our toes! As an older building, it has its charm but the facilities were up-to-date. The location is right by the canal so it can be noisy at night if you haven't ever lived in a city. We had two rooms, a studio split level, and a double room. We loved both rooms as they were both roomy and the beds were comfortable. There's an Albert Heijn grocery store very close and is excellent!

Because the hotel is by the canal, you need to know it's inevitable to have mosquitoes. The one thing I would change is to open their windows inwards, add a screen, and have fresh air. During our stay, the weather was in its high 80s, and low 90's. One room was provided a portable A/C but the top double room was not, which made it very uncomfortable. Even with a portable A/C, the hose needs to go out the window, so mosquitoes still have a chance to come in. If this one issue were fixed, it would be outstanding. This had us finding a drugstore for the bites.

Really nice location and a great room. It would have been even better if the beds were larger and more comfortable, and if the rooms were better noise insulated as the bar below the hotel was quite loud in the evenings.

I didn't like the layout/planning of the flat. I don't mind the stairs to the kitchen, toilet and bathroom, but the door from the toilet kept blocking the bathroom door. It is good that I was alone, with 2 people there would have been constant conflict. I am not satisfied with the conditions of the kitchen, no cooker hood, super basic appliances, having to order and ask for everything related to the kitchen. As I mentioned - the staf is great, only thanks to that it was possible to function. There were no mosquito nets, please take with you repellents.

Room was large and thankfully windows open since there is no air conditioning for hot summer days. Great location in the central city center.

Room advertised as two twins or double. It was actually 2 twins pushed together. Housekeeping and I'm guessing maintenance guy entered room without knocking while I was there. Surprisingly no room safe to store laptop or valuables, but small safe box is provided in the lobby for passports, etc.
