The location, right in the centre of Amsterdam, near many great facilities.

On the first night, I received an upgrade from a room totally without any outside window, to one that had a canal view and windows across the width of the room. However, it only had a small bathroom and twin beds that were barely 2ft 6ins wide. However I was promised that the beds would be changed for a Queen double the next day, which they were, so my sleep was far easier. I had been very disturbed the first night by young people partying directly above me, so only slept in snatches until they went to bed at 4am.

Perfect location, you can just walk everywhere! We had a room with a stunning view directly overlooking the canal and bridge. The room had everything we needed; while it wasn’t very new, everything was in good condition and well maintained.

A couple of things to be aware of: there’s a club nearby, and in the evenings, the music can be heard quite clearly in the room. Also, during the day, especially around lunchtime, you can hear the cleaning staff working in nearby rooms quite well. If you’re a light sleeper or sensitive to noise, earplugs might come in handy. That said, the location was so great that we were happy to overlook the noise. Overall, a very enjoyable stay!

It was a great location and the property was perfect for four travelers. I highly recommended staying here.

Great location. Tea, coffee and water free in reception. Secure (not sure it’s an issue but some may find it alleviates concern). Friendly staff.

Not an issue for myself TBH but would imagine the noise from the club at the back of the building will annoy some people. The canal side rooms may not have this issue though. A friend stayed in a hotel nearby and payed a bit more (~15%) but the size and standard of the room was considerably better!

This charming small hotel is in the ideal location for exploring Amsterdam. The Amstel River is directly across the street from our room and we were treated to stunning views from our window. The Rembrandtplein with its many bars and restaurants is only a short block away and public transportation is readily accessible. Many attractions are within walking distance including the famous flower market. The front desk staff were both courteous and helpful and housekeeping kept our room spotless. The lobby was very inviting and we enjoyed the provided coffee and tea in this comfortable area. We will certainly book this property again on future visits to the city.

The room we booked was small by North American standards but comfortable enough and we soon began to regard it as “cozy”.

The hotel was small but very well located. The staff were helpful and friendly. We were able to leave suitcases on the day of our departure in a locked area and meet friends, plus do a canal cruise. With our luggage, it would have been far from the pleasant day we spent in Amsterdam. Appreciated the advice from the counter staff. Our room was small, but I would think most accommodations in Amsterdam would be similar. The hotel seems to have been recently refurbished. It was very clean. Downstairs there was coffee and biscuits in a nice little sitting area.

Our room did get noise from the nightclub. Not as bad as I expected from other reviews. Must admit I was wakened around 1 am wondering if we were being bombed. Soon worked out what it was and put in my earplugs. Daughters however had young people coming in and making excessive noise on their floor. I had brought them on purpose in case of noise.

Great location, super friendly stuff, comfortable beds. It was a bit loud as it's in the centre of a number of clubs and bars, but with a pair of silicone earplugs, there were no problems to get plenty of sleep. You'll see many people complain about the noise in the hotel, but honestly, it wasn't that bad - if you want to sleep in and go to bed early don't stay in the busiest part of the city.

Location super central, we never took a train or bus to go around, just walking! 4 minute walk to the flower market, 10 minute walk to the main central street, fantastic! Hotel very nice itself, quite new, room was large enough to have 4 people with luggage in it, not crowded at all. Clean beds, nice entrance with free hot beverage machine, very handy when it's so cold outside!

Fabulous location and some of the comfiest beds I have slept on in Europe. The hotel was extremely clean and the rooms were throughly cleaned daily. The tea and coffee station behind the lobby was a great perk especially on a cold winters day after coming in from outside. Some other reviews mention noise from a nearby nightclub. We could hear the noise however it did not deter from our experience.

They take security and safety seriously, main door always requiring card entry, glad they had an elevator. Loved the lobby and guest area. Best tasting coffee from their automatic machine. Fast wifi

Air conditioner was rather weak. It was a really warm weekend and our room took a long time to cool down each evening. Keep in mind there is a large night club venue directly behind and there was loud music thumping through to our room for 3 of our 4 nights. The music begins at midnight and stops after 5am. It’s rather loud and staff can’t do anything about it.
