The location was stellar, right on a canal in central Amsterdam. The view from the window onto the canal was amazing. Rembrandt square was just around the corner with lots of restaurants & a tram stop that connected us to the rest of Amsterdam. The front desk staff in the hotel were very kind and helpful.

The building was very old, with very steep stairs and no elevator. It was difficult to get our luggage up into the 3rd floor apartment, though the front desk staff did help carry it up. The room was dated with old carpets throughout, though it was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots, and utensils.

Breakfast good, great variety. Apartment spacious. Staff excellent, very professional and informative. Wi-Fi strong. Excellent location. Near the trams and Rembrandt square with a huge selection of restaurants and bars. Air conditioning excellent.

The shower flooded the bathroom and they needed to have a door on the bathroom, not just a shower curtain separating the bedroom and bathroom. They need to supply a tea towel/cloth and a sponge for the kitchen. An ice cube tray needed and more glasses in the kitchen.

Eden Apartments are in an excellent location, close to many good restaurants, bakeries, boat tours, and public transportation. It's right on the main canal, making it a very attractive location. The staff was very helpful in answering questions, hauling luggage (more on that later), etc. We arrived early at the property. They held our luggage for us and managed to have room ready 1 hour before the 3PM check-in, which was greatly appreciated.

We were in apartment 889. Although the room itself was very good, it was up on the 3rd floor with the tightest spiral staircase that I have ever been on. (In comparison, the stairs in the Anne Frank house are easy). Fortunately, the staff carried the luggage up and down for us. I would not have been able to do it. And the lighting on the last set of stairs was not that good. If you're young, maybe not a big deal. If you are in your 60's or later, I wouldn't recommend this particular apartment.

Loved the arrival package of chocolate/sweets and cleaning products fantastic touch, the beds were so comfortable , the apartment was clean and tidy fantastic addition of fan in bedrooms, soundproofing was great thoughout, location was the best with glorious veiws, was nice to be able to also use the hotel to play poole and have a drink at the bar

Both toilet and shower room smelt of sewage could do with defusers in both or look at plumbing situation, 2 flights of stairs were as expected but the last 2 flights were so vertical, could do with more hand rails to feel safer walking up and down, we all kept bumping our heads on a section of the stairs which wasn’t pleasant either

The staff at all times were exceptional. The hotel foyers and eating area etc, were great and the breakfast was excellent - thank you to management for offering that to us for free due to our feedback below. I would stay in this location and with Eden again, just would be careful re: the apartments.

The apartments were convenient and the bathroom and kitchen were excellent and the small outdoor terrace very much appreciated, and of course great location looking out on to the canal. However, the bed in our apartment was not good with both of us falling into the middle, so a new matress is needed. The other thing was the sofa in the living area was extremely uncomfortable and actually quite hard to sit on, which was a shame as it was a nice area.

We stayed at the slipt room and it was an amazing. The bed was very comfortable.The refrigerator was big for a hotel. They also have the kitchen which it was so nice for the family with the little kids. We loved it so much! The location were great and easy to walk everywhere.

We didn't know our room on the 4th floor and no elevator and the most fun part was the stairs were very steep but once you get in the room you would love it. The water pressure not that strong but it was okay for us.

Location is excellent, overlooking canal, close to everything. Provided everything that was needed for a short stay. Easy check in and check out. The apt layout was quite quirky, which I liked.

The stairs to the apartment are very steep, we were top floor so up 4 flights of stairs, no lifts. I hadn’t realised this is typical of buildings in Amsterdam. The hotel was attached and offered help with getting the cases up and down though

Convenient location

Low ceiling was a problem since I’m 6’4.

Very nice appartment, very well located. Size perfect for 3 to 4 people. Clean and with everything you need available. Nice staff at the hotel reception.

Very bad mattresses and a heater was ON without possibility to stop it so it was very warm, in particular during the night (we told to the staff but it has not been solved)

Our apartment was well laid out and allowed us to store everything away neatly. There was an extremely comfortable bed/doona, great shower and a nice table with four chairs to sit at and plan our days. The provision of a small bar fridge, microwave, kettle, coffee machine (with generous amounts of teabags, coffee pods and hot chocolate sachets) cutlery and crockery meant we didn’t have to eat out every night but could bring home some olives, small goods, dips, cheese and crackers some evenings. All of the staff including cleaning staff were professional, friendly and helpful. We also liked that we were 2 mins walk from Rembrandtplein where there are a myriad of bars and restaurants.

Eden apartments is a good 20-25min walk to Centraal Station so if you are traveling around the Netherlands using the train to visit various towns for the day, it can get onerous making this trek down the Dam.
