Location was great. Easy to walk around in the city center. Family owned with good service for the price.

I had a delightful stay at the Imperial Hotel, a charming boutique accommodation managed by a warm family. Its location is not just good; it's incredibly convenient, nestled in the city's heart yet pleasantly distant from the bustling tourist spots. I could easily stroll to all the attractions, only relying on the tram—just a 2-minute walk—for my journeys to and from Central Station with my luggage. If you're arriving at AMS Central Station, locate Point A, where the tram four stops, and hop on it to Rembrandtplein, a mere three stops away. The hotel was clean, quaint, and a haven of comfort. The bed was exceptionally cozy, providing a perfect retreat after a day of exploring. With their warm hospitality, the owners were always ready to assist with my luggage and directions, making my stay even more relaxing. Before my visit, I had come across some reviews mentioning the stairs. They can indeed be a challenge, especially for those with knee issues. This hotel may not be the best fit for older individuals with mobility concerns who find stairs difficult. However, it's crucial to remember that a hotel's location in a historical area, where buildings are protected and the architecture can't be altered, should not be a reason for a negative review. Instead, we should admire and be grateful for the unique beauty of this historic setting. To the wonderful owners of the Imperial Hotel, I want to express my heartfelt thanks for your exceptional hospitality. Your warmth and helpfulness made my stay truly memorable.

Very friendly receptionists!.. They helped carry my suitcase and answered all my questions, give me 🍊. Perfect location. Really close to the city center, a lot of places to eat nearby. And even though it can be quite noisy outside because of fun nightlife, the soundproofing is decent and I slept well. Cozy, clean rooms with paintings on the walls. Everything you need is there and matches the photos I saw on the website. Perfect value for money. If I visit Amsterdam again, this will be my place to stay! ❤️

The location was excellent! We walked everywhere during our stay. Rooms were very cute and clean. I think for the price, this place is excellent. I would definetly stay again.

There is no elevator and the stairs are very steep. If you have knee problem, this hotel might be difficult for you. Also, the hotel is in a loud area, so we heard people talking and yelling at night. We were very tired each night so it did not really affect our sleep.

Amazing location, very spacious room, super clean, and relatively comfortable. Furthermore, the shower was great - it was large, had great water pressure, and the water stayed hot. Also, while the room did not have air conditioning (*which we were aware of upon booking), the portable fan actually did a great job at keeping the room cool, and we could keep the windows open at night, as they conveniently had fly screens.

There are a lot of stairs to climb and they are incredibly steep and lack depth, which felt a bit unsafe when trying to lug suitcases up them. Also, when you first enter the hotel, there is quite a pungent stale smell that permeates the air in the main corridor/up the first flight of stairs.

The position of the Hotel is great, you'll have everything you need at 1 minute walking distance, restaurants, tram stops, cafè and also other interesting stuff (if you know, you know). The room was very nice and cute and extremely clean. The staff is very very kind and available for any need from the first moment. Hope to go back soon and enjoy another stay at the Imperial Hotel! Great location; right by Rembrandtplein and we had a room towards the back so it was not noisy. Except other guests on the stairs and corridor ; loud talking and stomping as we were by the stairs. But the hotel can’t really help that! The room was big enough for a desk, nightstands and two chairs but everything quite basic.

Beds were narrow and too hard/ firm for my liking. Very narrow and steep stairs; some might find these very tricky with luggage

Mingy and her staff were very professional, effective communications in English and promptly, they were very courteous and eager to help. Their pleasant friendly attitude helps us feel comfortable being in Amsterdam for the very first time. We booked 3 rooms for family of 6 adults, all 3 rooms were spacious, comfy, meet our needs and budget.

Many restaurants near the hotel open late welcoming noisy party goers.

Fantastic location.Just off Rembrandplein with a great choice of bars and restaurants.We had a lovely spacious room at the back...no noise from the bars nearby at all.A little oasis of calm.Very quiet hotel.Room a little tired but full of charm.Walking distance to all main sights( even for husband of 85). Very helpful, friendly staff.Helped carry our cases down the steep stairs for us.Thank you. We will be returning.

We had trouble understanding the key pad as we arrived out of hours and could only get in when a couple already staying arrived.( Reception is open 8 till 8)There is no way of contacting anyone. Each button has 2 digits on it(not one as we're used to) Hence if the door entry is e.g 1278 you would press the button with 1/ 2 twice and the button with 7/8 twice. Hope that helps.

Comfortable location next to tram station and Rembrandt square. Around lost of good quality restaurants. We can walk around from that point to any showplace/landmarks easy and short distance. Amazing staff, very helpful and doing great cleaning at room.

Quite noisy, because downstairs a night club. We expected just rest in that city, but Amsterdam definitely not that type of city. While was cold and windows there closed it was tolerable, but with open windows you definitely wouldn’t sleep till 4-5 am. Regarding taxi - better check price. We preorder taxi, because of early leaving, and the price was to high, moreover it growth while we approached to station 😁
