Staff was very friendly, location was close to the central station and shops. Easy to reach both by foot and with public transport. The room was great, clean and an extra airconditioning was provided for if it gets too warm. Staff carried my suitcase upstairs which I really appreciated.

It was a bit difficult to find since some letters of the name had fallen off outside and it's a bit hidden away behind a restaurant. It's also a in a street with a lot of restaurants/bars so it can get very loud at night, the windows block out a lot of noise but not all of it. Staff do offer earplugs for everyone staying so that is nice. Bathroom was a bit old, but still in good state and clean.

I had a delightful stay at the Imperial Hotel, a charming boutique accommodation managed by a warm family. Its location is not just good; it's incredibly convenient, nestled in the city's heart yet pleasantly distant from the bustling tourist spots. I could easily stroll to all the attractions, only relying on the tram—just a 2-minute walk—for my journeys to and from Central Station with my luggage. If you're arriving at AMS Central Station, locate Point A, where the tram four stops, and hop on it to Rembrandtplein, a mere three stops away. The hotel was clean, quaint, and a haven of comfort. The bed was exceptionally cozy, providing a perfect retreat after a day of exploring. With their warm hospitality, the owners were always ready to assist with my luggage and directions, making my stay even more relaxing. Before my visit, I had come across some reviews mentioning the stairs. They can indeed be a challenge, especially for those with knee issues. This hotel may not be the best fit for older individuals with mobility concerns who find stairs difficult. However, it's crucial to remember that a hotel's location in a historical area, where buildings are protected and the architecture can't be altered, should not be a reason for a negative review. Instead, we should admire and be grateful for the unique beauty of this historic setting. To the wonderful owners of the Imperial Hotel, I want to express my heartfelt thanks for your exceptional hospitality. Your warmth and helpfulness made my stay truly memorable.

Very friendly receptionists!.. They helped carry my suitcase and answered all my questions, give me 🍊. Perfect location. Really close to the city center, a lot of places to eat nearby. And even though it can be quite noisy outside because of fun nightlife, the soundproofing is decent and I slept well. Cozy, clean rooms with paintings on the walls. Everything you need is there and matches the photos I saw on the website. Perfect value for money. If I visit Amsterdam again, this will be my place to stay! ❤️

The location was excellent! We walked everywhere during our stay. Rooms were very cute and clean. I think for the price, this place is excellent. I would definetly stay again.

There is no elevator and the stairs are very steep. If you have knee problem, this hotel might be difficult for you. Also, the hotel is in a loud area, so we heard people talking and yelling at night. We were very tired each night so it did not really affect our sleep.

The hotel is very charming and our room was very spacious. The walk up the narrow stairwell was challenging but not impossible, especially when we arrived since the gentleman at the front helped us carry our luggage upstairs. The location was perfect, providing terrific restaurants and cafes within walking distance, and plenty of choices just downstairs! We would love to return to Amsterdam someday and would not hesitate to stay at Imperial Hotel once again. Highly recommend.

Amazing location, very spacious room, super clean, and relatively comfortable. Furthermore, the shower was great - it was large, had great water pressure, and the water stayed hot. Also, while the room did not have air conditioning (*which we were aware of upon booking), the portable fan actually did a great job at keeping the room cool, and we could keep the windows open at night, as they conveniently had fly screens.

There are a lot of stairs to climb and they are incredibly steep and lack depth, which felt a bit unsafe when trying to lug suitcases up them. Also, when you first enter the hotel, there is quite a pungent stale smell that permeates the air in the main corridor/up the first flight of stairs.

The position of the Hotel is great, you'll have everything you need at 1 minute walking distance, restaurants, tram stops, cafè and also other interesting stuff (if you know, you know). The room was very nice and cute and extremely clean. The staff is very very kind and available for any need from the first moment. Hope to go back soon and enjoy another stay at the Imperial Hotel! The staff is extremely kind, truly the kindest I have ever met. The hotel is in an excellent location. We were 4 and so we had two rooms: one facing the street, which was quiet with the windows closed, and one at the back, which was quiet even with the windows open. Of course, being a typical Amsterdam building, the stairs are very steep and there is no elevator. We will definitely come back and I will recommend it.

We had a great stay at the Imperial Hotel Amsterdam. The atmosphere was welcoming, the room was comfortable and clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our visit. The location was also very convenient, making it easy to explore the city. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and we would definitely consider staying here again.

There wasn’t really anything that bothered us during our stay — everything went smoothly, and we felt well taken care of throughout.
