The room was large with a kitchenette. It was nice to have help with the bags up the steep staircase. The location was great for walking everywhere. Ernesto was always available and helped us arrange a taxi-€75.

It is very close to a bar that grinds out a heavy beat until 2-3:00 on weekends at least because that is when we were there. You are thoughtfully provided with earplugs which help some. The other downside is the sewer odor that emanates from the bathroom. The building is old so it happens. They do what they can with scent sticks and toilet scent that releases when flushed. We kept the door closed.

The apartment is spacious and well furnished, with a very comfortable bed, table for eating and 2 additional chairs to sit and relax. The compact kitchen had a good size fridge, microwave and sink (and coffee maker, kettle and toaster). Ernesto is super friendly and available to help with anything; he met us at the door when we arrived and helped with our suitcases up the very steep stairs. The location, in the central district right beside the flower market, is within 10-15 minutes easy walking distance to the main tourist sites, like the museums and the central train station if you want to explore outside the city. It's a surprisingly quiet location, except for the gay bar down the street (Ernesto provided good ear plugs so it did not keep us awake through the night).

There was some unpleasant smell in the bathroom (from the drains?), so we kept the door closed. It wasn't a problem for us, but the stairs are really steep!

We loved this accommodation, Ernesto was so welcoming and helpful, nothing was too much for him. We arrived early and our room was ready for us which was greatly appreciated. Everything you could possible need for your stay, big comfortable bed, tea/coffee making facilities, great air con which was needed as it was so hot! Great location next to the flower market with plenty of bars & restaurants around us. Ear plugs were a thoughtful touch but were not needed due to the great windows, we didn't hear a thing. We would definitely stay here again.

Ernesto, our host, was very responsive, quick to reply to any question. The location is amazing, overlooking the flower market, next to the "gentlemen's canal." The large bed was super comfortable. For a couple, we had plenty of room to spread out our stuff. The kitchen are is sparse but included everything we needed such as a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and dish-ware.

As an older, UNESCO-protected building, the stairs are very narrow so be intentional climbing up/down. The windows offer a wide view of outside but they require some effort to open.

Ernesto was an amazing host, it was our first time in amsterdam and he was really helpful, helping us find our bearings around the city the location is perfect which helped allot as we was a maximum of 15 minutes walk from anywhere we wanted to visit! The bed was incredibly comfortable with a weighted quilt for extra comfort. The stairs are what to be expected of amsterdam they are everywhere! All in all a great host and location also the shower/toilet facilities are lovely and clean with all shampoos body washes from the body shop just to top it off!

Stairs

Perfect location, everything easily accessible by walking. The room was lovely, home from home. Spacious, clean, and some nice complimentary touches left by Ernesto. Bed was extremely comfortable. Expresso machine was very welcome each morning. Stairs are very steep and narrow, so ask for a lower floor if mobility is an issue. Bong was there to greet us, very friendly, and helped with our cases. You are situated near the gay bars and clubs, and they pack up about 6am over Friday, Saturday but this was never an issue for us. Soundproofing was excellent. Air-conditioning welcome relief. Shower gel, shampoo, conditioner complimentary. Good size fridge. USB sockets to charge your phone. No wardrobe but plenty of drawers and hangers over the door for clothes. Towels lovely and soft, shower nice and warm. Hairdryer very good. Would stay here again and definitely recommend.

This is just constructive feedback and did not impact our stay at all, but maybe netting at the window as building opposite had tinted windows, but could they see in? A guide on how to use the TV would be useful, 2 remotes but wasn't sure how to get English channels on. No iron as advertised, but know we could have asked if we needed it.

The apartment is in a great location, just a 3 to 5-minute walk from the tram line. Ernesto is a very attentive host — he helped us with our luggage when checking in and out. Since our flight was after the check-out time, he kindly let us leave our bags at the apartment. The house is centrally located, close to the Flower Market. It was clean, and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. If we visit again, we will definitely stay here. Thank you for everything!

The room was good, equipped with all necessary amenities, such as capsule coffee machine, hairdryer, kettle, refrigerator etc. Tea, coffee and some snacks were also available in the room. Host was hospitable but not intrusive. Most of other reviews mention a narrow stairs - it is ok once you get used to it. The building is authentic and for me the stairs was one of the charming things :) Location is perfect, all most visited places are reachable on foot.

It was a bit cold in the room even with heating. During the night it's a bit noisy in the street because the property is located in the central area where some clubs and restaurants are located. For us it wasn't a big problem because we were tired and slept well, but this must be considered for those who are sensitive for such things.

Absolutely outstanding stay in the heart of Amsterdam. Host was very welcoming and helpful. Helped with bags and left snacks. Helped my husband make a fantastic effort for my 40th by decorating our room. No request too big. All attractions walking distance and 15 walk to central station. Tram line 2 min walk. Plenty of places to eat and drink . Room directly overseeing the flower market. Fantastic location. Room very clean and comfortable bed. Can not highly rate it enough. A must stay if you're thinking of going to Amsterdam.

This was our best booking experience ever. Ernesto is amazing, we could go to him for any questions, he also helped us with our suitcases. The accommodation itself is centrally located. The room was extremely clean. The bed was big and incredibly comfortable. Next time we will stay here again. Literally this is a gem of Amsterdam. Ernesto thank you so much🙏🏻
