Don’t go by the outward appearance of the hotel. My initial reaction looking at the hotel from outside was that of disappointment - I felt the price did not match the look outside. But as soon as we went inside , the staff was helpful and friendly . What all did we like 1. We were given early check in ( checked in around 10 10:30am ). We did not even ask. We had asked if we can store our luggage but since our room was available , we were given the key and that was a relief. 2. The room we got was spacious and very well maintained. Good toiletries. Super comfortable bed 3. We did not opt for breakfast so cannot tell you how it was 4. You can rent cycles from them - it’s 18 euros for the whole day. The cycles are super comfortable and right outside the hotel 5. Location - it was 10 mins to Van Gogh and rinks museum . It takes about 35 mins to get to Amsterdam Centraal but the hotel is well connected by tram

The only thing is the hotel is 7-10 mins walk to tram stations which is alright . Just have to keep this in mind :)

Hotel reception is delightful, check is automated and there is a beautiful bar and self-service area for snacks and beverages etc.

One small issue is the lack of a steam iron. I had travelled for 5 hours and needed to iron my clothing for an event that night. I haven't stayed in a hotel that doesnt provide a steam iron for many years.

The hotel was in a lovely, quiet residential area. Rooms were clean, couldn't fault the cleanliness.

I was sharing with my nephew and had requested a twin room. We were given a family room, so there was a double bed and a single pull-out bed ( a proper bed is preferred for an adult man). We were with other family who were couples and who had the same name (so obviously a couple), and they were given twin beds. We had booked the rooms a year ago so I feel we should have got the rooms we requested. I don't see why this is such a problem, I have seen this mentioned on other reviews as a problem. Breakfast is expensive. Please have English breakfast tea in the rooms! We had to take teabags from downstairs but the tin was usually empty.

We had a fantastic time at the hotel , and the staff could not have been nicer. I was there with my husband and my sister and brother-in-law for a joint wedding anniversary in the middle of June. The staff were so nice and had left lovely gifts for us in our rooms, which was really thoughtful. I wish I could name all the staff but a special thank you goes to Viola who was so lovely. Would highly recommend this hotel. It is slightly out of the city centre , but with the public transport , it's not a problem at all and a 45 min walk to Dam Square

The hotel is beautiful. Reception staff were welcoming and we was able to drop our bags before we checked in. We were booked into an executive room which meant we had our own lift which was lovely. The room itself was amazing. It had everything we could possibly need. The bed was huge and very comfy. We each had a bedside table with lights, a wardrobe , iron and ironing board. Coffee/kettle (no English breakfast tea however we got some from the shop) we had milk and sugar. A mini fridge which included 2 waters & 2 fizzy drinks which were complimentary. Lovely desk area to get ready. We had a TV at the end of the bed but we didn't use it. 2 very comfy chairs within the bay window to relax. The bathroom was huge. A shower and a separate bath. Sink with a large mirror. Hairdryer and lovely shampoo, shower gel and hand wash. Plenty of towels and these were changed daily if you requested. Downstairs in reception they had a mini shop available. This included drinks (soft & alcohol) any little items you may have forgotten and also snacks. The hotel does have a bar and restraunt area however we didn't use it. They also have a gorgeous outdoor seating area which is heated. The location for us was great. We have stayed in De Pijp so are familiar with being out of the main area of Amsterdam. Nice walk to Albert Cuyp Market. Also 10 minute walk to the number 2 tram which takes you straight to Amsterdam Centraal and Dam Square. (Around 15 minute journey) Lovely little area with lots of little shops and restaurants to explore if you wasn't going to spend your whole trip in Amsterdam Centre. Would recommend the hotel and we would definitely stay again

Have nothing to comment on. The hotel was amazing and exceeded our expectations

The rooms on the executive floor are big and bright. The beds are very comfortable, coffee machine and kettle in the rooms, nice big shower in the bathroom (no bath)

There was limited staff overall. They were very friendly but there was no porter - the young ladies at reception offered to help but I had a lot of heavy luggage, when I called for room service, I was told that he was alone and cost 4,50 so I had to go down myself. The airconditioning is a bit tricky, it said it would reset automatically every day but mine didn't.

The breakfast was excellent, the room was very comfortable and the location was really nice and quiet. we enjoyed the neighborhood that the hotel was located within with several shopping locations and great restaurant offerings.

The check in process was clunky as the front desk staffer was clueless. She provided no information about the property, the breakfast or other food offering or any worthwhile details at all. She was obviously not very well trained or just disinterested in her assignment. Luckily the following morning our interaction was not with her and another well informed staff person.

The room was so big! And had a very private feeling as the windows were covered by trees. And very quiet. The free sparkling & still water taps in the lounge were great to have. Also liked that I could walk to the West/Zuid train station in 20mins for day trips outside of Amsterdam.

We moved here from another hotel when our flights were cancelled, and not only was there nothing I didn't like, but this hotel was far superior than my previous hotel and at half the cost!

Nice, quiet area in Amsterdam so ideal for a family visit. Easy to get to on public transport once you've worked it out (tram 2 or 12 gets you into the city centre). Bus 397 has a bus stop just down the road and got us back to the airport in 30mins! The hotel was clean and modern inside, despite the 1960's exterior.

The fridge in the room was broken so no way to store any extra bits of food etc but the staff did put some things in another fridge for us upon request.

Attention to detail was very good, staff were very friendly and ammeniable. I requested a surprise for my partner in our hotel room as I was planning to propose to her that evening and it was a lovely surprise when we returned! We also had the breakfast with our stay, a fantastic range of local foods and continental selections too, everything was to perfection. In a really lovely quiet neighbourhood, away from the hustle and bustle, with great transport links to all parts of the city just down the road.

Only criticism was the pillow was too firm for my liking, but i do have back issues which would hamper the comfort. My partner slept wonderfully and had no issues
