We enjoyed the location. The peaceful park was a bonus. Beautiful heritage building. Rooms are so interestingly designed. Really fun. Staff were very attentive. Great transport options to get around from where the hotel is located.

WE loved it all.

This is my 4th stay here and love the location and the size of the room

I was very upset that although I had paid in advance for the whole stay you debited my card with eu200 at the start telling me this was ‘normal’ when I queried it - this has never occurred before and I have stayed with you before so you know I have never not paid - it will stop me booking with you again as I found it offensive.

The hotel is beautiful. It is a lovely building in Oosterpark. The breakfast was rich. Location is a little far from the downtown but there are many restaurants, bars and cafes nearby.

The room was a bit different than the photos shown in booking.com, the bed was shown upstairs in the living room furniture was shown downstairs in the photos but the furnitures were located the opposite which is ugly for me. Adittionally, it was a groundfloor corner room so, its view was ventilation grilles of the inner courtyard. The bathroom door in the room is not isolated. The hotel was lovely overall, but I did not like the room.

Bed matrasses, super comfortable! Room interior in general. Freshness of furniture/sheets/towels. Access to the park.

I did not like at all being contacted over whatsapp from the hotel. I received already many emails from the hotel, and I really believe that is enough harassment. We stayed there 5 nights, and every morning, early, (sometimes also in the night as of midnight or 2 am) there was a constant arrival or departure of items from trucks either for the hotel or some events there. Carrying the trolleys over the uneven underground, okay, but constantly talking/shouting from the personnel directly in front of our window, I believe is not necessary. The suppliers should be made aware of that as of early morning 7-9 hotel guests are still sleeping, especially in the weekend, so they should minimize the noise as much as possible and keep their voices down.

The location with the terrace overlooking the park was lovely.

We booked two rooms and on arrival we were advised that both had been upgraded, which was very nice. One was upgraded to a junior suite which was really lovely, but the other, upgraded to a super comfy (room 63), unfortunately wasn’t as good. The room had a mezzanine floor and the stairs were extremely steep with a narrow tread depth, making it very difficult to go up and down. There was a large wide rim around the bath/shower which proved awkward to enter and exit. Also, a very small step into the bathroom was a bit of a trip hazard. There were several stains on the carpet and around the edge of the bed. Overall, the room was not very accessible.

Everything was perfect and the service was very friendly and attentive. The comfort of the bed and pillows is particularly noteworthy. The distance to the center of Amsterdam is not a problem, it is a small city and you have a tram very close that takes you to the center.

Our room faced the park and there was a container nearby, and we could hear the loading and unloading truck at night and early in the morning. It was a bit annoying but it didn't last long. Everything in the bathroom was made for very tall people. I'm short and hanging up a towel or looking at myself in the magnifying mirror was an Olympic sport 😂

Perfection localisation, the environment is calm and cosy. Super kind, the team is more than available and is answering all the requests!! They are the best team ever. When we arrived, we got a room seen on scaffolding. We were sad about that and called reception, and they changed us of room. ( probably because we stayed 5 days) Whatever, it was just so kind. They gave us a beautiful room; each room was lovely, but the view was something else. The rooms are delightful after a long and freezing day in Amsterdam. Moreover, even if the breakfast is expensive, you must try it a little during your stay because it's perfect! Fresh and good food.

Maybe the room wasn't very clean when we arrived but nothing big!

A beautiful hotel in a lovely quiet area just outside the main city....There is a tram stop outside Amsterdam Central that takes you more a less to the hotel....Atleast we know now for next time .15 mins ride..No 17 I think to Oostpark...? 5 mins walk over the road to the hotel...taxis charge 45 euros at the station which is ridiculous....They came down to 35 euros...We refused.....3 euros on the tram!! Just scan your debit card when you get on and then again when you get off.. We made the mistake of walking with our suitcases on arrival.....Not advisable ..The satnav took us everywhere...45 mins later we arrived at the hotel.!! .haha..Trams were very regular maybe every 10 mins..The hotel itself is amazing...Facing onto a large beautiful park which is very popular with the locals....We had the best weather which makes a difference..The room was nice ours face onto a courtyard. Nice and light with large windows.. Not the largest of rooms...The toilet and shower are in the room.A large glass surround not a separate ensuite.... We were on one level...But I believe they do have rooms where the bedrooms are upstairs and you have to come back downstairs to go the toilet...might be a bit dodgy in the night Theres a small mini bar fridge. We just used this for any extras we bought at the supermarket Drinks are very expensive at the bars so we would call at there local supermarkets in the city while we were there for the day and purchase a couple bottles of wine and something to eat to take back to the hotel and picnic in the beautiful surroundings......Would definitely go back..

We have used this hotel before, and for an urban hotel it is beautifully situated, on the edge of the Oosterpark, and the patio area is popular with locals, to the extent that it is sometimes difficult to find a seat outside when the weather is good. The old building is beautiful, and the modern sections nicely integrated. On the previous visit we were in the new section which was great. This time round we had a street-facing room in the old section which was spacious and tastefully converted and modernised. Great bed, good bathroom and lots of space. Staff were generally helpful and polite.

On Booking.com there is an option under "Classic Double or Twin Room", to "choose your bed": 1 double or 2 single. Note that it is qualified by "if available". I had specified the double, but initially we were placed in a small loft room with 2 single beds, and a single fanlight rather than a window. Not what I'd call classic. They agreed to change this, so that was good. I appreciate that rooms will vary in an old building not initially designed as a hotel, but smaller rooms should be classified differently or, if they can't meet your request, the price should be adjusted.

the hotel as a whole was lovely. A traditional building. beautifully decorated and furnished and every room was different (we peeped as they were being cleaned and we walked passed) The staff were wonderful, friendly and helpful with impeccable English. Breakfast was great with plenty of choice, even when we arrived with only 30 minutes left. Nice location, reasonable walk to the NEMO science museum (which was brilliant) and the zoo (again, really good) We also found getting into the centre on tram and metro easy and very cheap, only taking around 20 minutes

car parking could be cheaper
