Excellent breakfast. Friendly and welcoming restaurant staff and reception

Hot water in the morning was so so. Apparently there was a problem with the water heater system which hopefully should be repaired by now. The reception staff made a surprise (and much appreciated) gesture to waive the evening drinks on our bill due to the hot water issue.

We loved our stay in Amsterdam: - we had booked a king room and we got one with a canal view on the top floor (I think it was an upgrade). An extra bed was already set up for our little one. The room was spacious with a large TV, daily-refilled water bottles, a nespresso machine with capsules and an electric kettle. The bathroom was also very nice with ample space. - The room was very clean and bright with many lighting options. The neighbourhood is quiet and there are dark shades, so we had a great sleep. - The location is actually very good with many options close by (tram, metro) to reach downtown Amsterdam, but the distance is OK to walk or cycle as well. There is a supermarket right across the street. - breakfast was excellent with on-demand eggs in various styles and an abundant buffet. - the personnel was very efficient, polite and helpful, they made us feel really welcome. - We also tried the Indonesian restaurant and recommend it.

Nothing really. The price is on the high side but this is Amsterdam and overall it was vfm for us.

Rooms was clean, well equipped, quiet air con... staff were friendly. close to tram routes, but away from main city and tourist locations, so tram travel needed each day.. not big deal, only short walk

restaurant for breakfast was not so good, despite advising of nut allergies, they didn't seem to take it seriously, big warning to anyone with the same. Lack of clear labelling, no separation, and shared spoons etc... Also asking for tea with milk seemed to stump them, with different result on each of the 3 days... . one day with a tea pot full of cold milk !

Our stay at the hotel was overall very pleasant. At check-in, we initially experienced a less welcoming approach from one of the reception clerks. However, the front desk manager immediately stepped in with professionalism and kindness, greeting us warmly and ensuring we felt comfortable. The staff that followed were courteous and helpful, and we appreciated the smooth upgrade to our room. The room itself was spacious, clean, and well-equipped, which made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Overall, we left with a positive impression and would be glad to return.

The hotel is very very nice, rooms are spacious, extremely clean and with all the amenities required. Location is just on the edge of the city center, basically 20 minutes walk or 10 minutes by tram (which is just outside). Breakfast is very good, staff is one of the greatest I've seen and do everything in their power to please you.

Things that can be upgraded/improved (but are probably just some fancy man opinions) - fill the minibars in the room, now they are empty and you need to request filling. Why? - The orange juice at breakfast...could be fresh orange juice, not some concentrate mix. The apple juice is good, the orange juice not so good

The hotel offers beautifully designed and very convenient common areas, perfect for relaxation. Even on rainy days, you can enjoy a cozy atmosphere indoors, sipping drinks from the bar or engaging in table games. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious, and daily cleaning services ensure that you have a neat room and clean towels. Breakfast was great as well.

The location is not central, so transportation was necessary for all our commutes within the city. While the staff was exceptionally kind, service could be quite slow at times. Additionally, a wider variety of pillow options would be a welcome improvement, as both available sizes were overly soft for our preference.

April was very helpful and offered us reasonable upgrades with some freebies as well; she was very attentive during our entire stay; the rest of the staff were also helpful; location was great as very near the places we visited (museums and shopping streets); the hotel room was spacious and the bathroom was clean; I also liked the Space Cast feature of the TV which allowed us to watch Netflix; the Club was nice, too except that the food was almost the same daily -- a little variety would have made things a lot better.

Nice Hyatt for a short stay in Amsterdam. Easy access to the canals, the Jewish Quarter and the metro. The rooms were very spacious and modern. A nice surprise in Amsterdam. Nice gym, but after walking 24,000+ daily steps, we were not inclined to use it. So nice that they brought a beautiful birthday card and decorated chocolate cake to the room to celebrate my husband's birthday. Such a sweet touch, both literally and figuratively. A great way to start our European holiday. Definitely book a room with breakfast. What a delicious way to start the day in Amsterdam. Mama Makan Indonesian Kitchen is located in the Hyatt Regency Hotel in the Plantage District. Nice to be able to get a delicious breakfast each morning. Eggs were cooked to order. The salmon Benedict orders were served on a slice of brown bread with spinach. Add an avocado half on the side. Delicious! So many options on the breakfast buffet. Smoked salmon. Beets. Indonesian noodle salad. Fresh fruit. Sautéed vegetables. Roasted potatoes. Grilled cauliflower. Hummus. Yogurt. Lots and lots of cheese to try. Gouda. Blue cheese. Geitenkaas/Goat cheese. Dill havarti. Edam. Nice to sample so many tasty varieties. Pastries galore. Dutch pancakes. Madeleines. Scones. Freshly baked loaves of bread. Focaccia. Flatbreads. Indonesian pastries. The Indonesian layer cakes, spekkoek or lapis legit, are so beautiful and so delicious. Imagine the effort that goes into making a cake with eighteen thin layers. The cakes origin goes back to when the Dutch colonized Indonesia and married the European cake with local Indonesian spices. So delightful. Coffee, loose leaf tea, hot cocoa or freshly squeezed juices and fruit smoothies are all available. Different options were available each morning of our stay, but there were so many options that it made each day a unique dining experience. A great place for to stay a bit off the beaten path in Amsterdam.

It was expensive and I did not earn any Hyatt points for a very expensive stay.

For me it was important because of the parking, one of the few places with a high underground garage. But it brought Hyatt quality. The city view was very entertaining, nice and comfortable room. I needed a bath. The Indonesian restaurant gave us a great night out as an added bonus, we especially liked the flavours in the breakfast which was of a very high quality - outstanding after 10 similar hotels in the last two weeks. Excellent location, just 5 minutes to the underground and opposite a tram stop. Amazing hotel, unbelievable experience. Delicious food and great breakfast. Also, excellent bar area and bar service. Very clean hotel, amazing facilities, very nice atmosphere. Lovely bed and pillows! Very friendly, helpful and kind team members. Always there for us, making sure that you are happy with our stay. Very efficient and professional service. Thank you so mush for this lovely Christmas that we have had with you. You are awesome! :) x
