The hotel was so well situated for the train station and walking into Leiden. It was spotlessly clean, cool and relaxing. The staff were really friendly and extremely helpful when we were looking to buy a gift to take home. (It was especially the young lady, who was on duty on Friday/Saturday evening of 8/9 August and looked up where we could buy Goeie Mie gin to take back to the UK. Sorry, I should have asked her name). The room was spacious, very quiet and dark so my daughter and I slept well. The only thing we would have wanted was a kettle to make a cup of tea (being British - :) ). I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay again when I next visit Leiden. Thank you to the great team that work there.

This hotel has an excellent location as it is just nearby the central station. The rooms were large and very clean.

A few members of the customer service and cleaning staff were apathetic towards us. For example, we arrived late one night and couldn't open the door with our card. The person at reception saw us on the camera, but didn't open the door until we rang the bell two or three times. On another occasion, a member of the cleaning staff left their card in one of our rooms and kept knocking on our doors while we were sleeping or in the bathroom. We understand that it was an accident, but we would have appreciated it if they had been more patient and asked for the card back later.

Super close to the train station, it’s clean, staff is friendly, close to some parts of Leiden but without the overwhelming crowd! If you’re looking for a quick, basic, clean, hotel, I’d recommend— just avoid arriving early because they may make you pay for early check-in🫠.

Having to pay for early check-in… most hotels I’ve been in, if your room is already ready, you’re allowed to just have it. So, having to pay because you’re 2hrs early (even though the room is free & clean), felt a bit like a rip-off, and was a first in my life! I had no choice as I had to get ready for an event anyway. I can’t say much about the breakfast etc because I left early the next day.

The Inter City hotel is located close to the station in a side street away from the busy road and you can easily walk to the centre of Leiden from the hotel. The hotel has both a reception and a terminal to check in. The room was clean, looked new, the bed was ultra comfy, clean and had a good and clean bathroom. We can highly recommend this hotel if you want to stay in Leiden.

The hotel(room) was excellent, two small things: - The bathroom and toilet has a large milky with glass panel from which you can see the bed. No idea when that would be handy, so just close the curtains infront of it. - We have no idea if the room/hotel has Wifi, we didn't find any information in the room about this.

Rooms were safe and clean. Comfy bed! Overall hotel looked modern. While they didn’t have an air conditioning unit, their temperature control panel allowed +/-3 deg in the room so it was fine! Wasn’t too hot/cold for me. The hotel is literally a 1-2 minute brisk walk to the Leiden central station/bus terminal and 2-3min walk from the Jumbo supermarket across from the station. Sufficient amenities like shampoo/body soap with towels.

No kettle/fridge but not a big problem, the details were clearly stated before I booked the room. It was a long walk from the lift to my room at the end of the hallway but it was okay for the reasonable price I paid and I’m also able bodied. Might be a deal breaker for less able bodied guests. Walls are thin so you can hear people in the corridor or the housekeeping staff cleaning next door (knocking against furniture) but these are minor issues for me.

The location was ideal for my weekend stay. I was in town to visit the Keukenhof (decided to stay in Leiden instead of Amsterdam or Haarlem) and this hotel was a short walk from the Leiden train and bus station - you can see the hotel when you walk out of the station. The hotel was also a short walk to the main sights of Leiden. The check in and check out processes were quick and efficient and staff very welcoming and professional. I found my room very comfortable - room was a good size and had plenty of space and had the amenities I was looking for. I would definitely stay here again. I did not have the breakfast at the hotel so cannot comment on that.

The location was convenient (extremely close to Leiden Centraal). Rooms were modern. Storage area in the room is sufficient. Lighting was good. Quiet hotel. Comfortable bed, comforter, pillows. I had to study in the room, the study table and lighting was good.

The fact that there was no minibar was strange, as even the cheapest motels have one. No toiletry bag or slippers provided (not even a plastic laundry bag). There was a problem with the heating in my room and I had to wait for technician for a day (it was Sunday) and no alternative was offered except for a blanket.

The location is so convenient for the train and bus station. The rooms are well sound proofed and quiet. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean. The shower was also great. We had booked the breakfast and there was a reasonable variety to choose from. We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay.

There was no fridge or kettle in our room. They were only in the premium rooms. We were left a bottle of water each day though which we appreciated.

Location is great if you arrive by train: a 3 minute walk from the train and bus station, and still, the room was really quiet. The hotel reception is big, cosy and welcoming and there is a bar. There are many options for breakfast (like Jumbo supermarket, etc.) so we didn't take the buffet in the hotel. Many food options just around the corner and the historic centre is just a 5 minute walk. I appreciate the measures for more sustainability: you can adjust room temperature 3°C above or below 20°C, or else open a window or turn on ventilation instead. For safety, you can only take the elevator or use the stairs with a working key-card. Great rain shower, and it's fun that the wall of the bathroom is see-through, but there is also a dark curtain for more privacy. The mattress is very comfy and everything seemed new and clean.

The pillow is very soft so an extra pillow woudl be nice. I would also expect a tissue box and a bottle of water per person (we only got one bottle to share). Our key-card did not work on the staircase doors on our floor so we had to return to reception to take the elevator. I'm sure they would have been happy to fix it, but we only stayed one night so it was unnecessary. You could ask to make sure while checking. Best to lower the temperature before sleeping or turn on ventilation. I forgot and woke up because it was too hot. The price is quite high, but that seems the case for many hotels in Leiden, especially if you'd like the breakfast buffet.

Comfort room. Good breakfast. Very well situated next to the train station.

Paid additional cost for early check in on the day. Got put into a room that had a bad smell. Left for meeting informing the front staff, Was told will look at it. Returned later to find that no one had looked at it. Was asked to wait in reception while they sort it out. The smell remained and had to ask to be moved to another room - which I was without a fuss.
