In more than 50 years of travel, I have never encountered such a kind and helpful staff. One example: we asked about public transport to a destination far, far from the tourist trail, connected to our family history. Intrigued, they dove into research and found us a variety of ways to get there, at different price points. The family pilgrimage was greatly enriched by their help, and when we returned, they all (including the owner) wanted to hear about it, and the family tie to that spot. It was that way with everything. One night, when we got back to the hotel late as well as cold, tired, and hungry, they made us soup and toast while we warmed up. The hospitality and warmth were so genuine, and the hotel itself so charming — our room had huge windows with some stained glass, and looked out on a flowering tree) that I would never stay anywhere else in Rotterdam.

Hotel in a quiet side street off a busy and lively main street with lots of bars, restaurants, bakeries, supermarket, coffee shops and record stores! Approximately 15 minutes walk from the main station. Hotel was clean, staff friendly, a good self-service breakfast. I was in a single room which was quite small but the bed was comfortable and had a decent shower. The hotel is an old building so has a narrow spiral staircase going up 4 floors and you do hear noise from adjourning rooms

Everything... but here are some highlights... great staff, they all are friendly, thoughtful and caring. Great atmosphere in hotel everyone working together for the benefit of guests...rare these days. Room was large, air-conditioned, clean, comfortable. Breakfast was amazing! Easy walk to central station and other transport links and main attractions. This will be my go to place in Rotterdam. Note: the staff thoughtfully upgraded me to an air-conditioned room due to a rare, but warm, Rotterdam city... many thanks again

Very clean and cosy. Staff very friendly. In nice area near cafes. Despite room being smaller it still had all necessary facilities along with a kettle and mini fridge.

Only drawback was I found I always had to ring the bell to be let in , my room card didn’t seem to let me in to the lobby, I’m unsure if this is the case for all keys or if mine didn’t work. But reception was 24/7 so wasn’t an issue for my stay. Pillow was a bit bumpy too but otherwise everything in the room was perfect.

We stayed at this lovely, cozy hotel located in the city center. Our triple room was clean and spacious, which made our stay comfortable. The breakfast was not really special but had good variety and was filling enough to start the day. The staff were very kind and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, it's great value for money - you get what you pay for and even a bit more.

We had a room facing the street, and there was some noise from renovation work across the road. Of course this wasn't really the hotel's fault.

The first floor apartment was very spacious and well provisioned with all amenities. You will have to master the steep narrow double flight stairs to the apartment ( very typical of Dutch design), no problem for us. Very good and large bed, good shower.

The toilet is very small and virtually impossible to use with the door shut. There’s space outside the room but the door is fitted very close. There’s space outside toilet looks out onto the kitchen, there is no extraction fan . . . Just hang the door differently and all will be ok.

A nice quiet place with a room that was the right size for just me. The owner/manager was very friendly, and we had common interest in my visit (we both play Ingress). A great little spot, a short walk away from the city centre. 20 minute walk with full back pack to Rotterdam Centraal. All flat.

Possibly the only thing I didn't like was me not realising air conditioning existed! As it was quite warm overnight, having eventually found the remote control for the AC (it really wasn't hidden or anything like that ... it was just me!), then it was perfect!

Nice staff: friendly and helpful, they are reachable 24/7. The hotel is looking humble from outside, there is no "great entrance" or double door, actually, you have to use a doorbell to enter the hotel. But once inside you are met with nice people that work there, quick service and cozy interior. Rooms are nice and tidy, with huge panoramic window and two sets of curtains to keep the room extra dark during your sleep. The beds are comfy, with warm blankets and puffy pillows. Bathroom is as-clean-as-new with all the nessessary utilities (toilet paper, soap, towels).

Room view: as we were living on the first floor, window was facing other buildings that were obstructing the city view.

The people, all the people working there were super kind and helpful in every way. The Garden Terrace is lovely, and the breakfast is extensive and really super. Lift is great as stairs are very narrow. From outside it perhaps doesn't look much but inside its a really nice family hotel which I can recommend. And it has twin rooms which many hotels in Rotterdam do not.

Mosquitos but not the hotels fault. I opened the window as it had trees outside the window. Should have stuck to the AC which the room had and was working perfectly.

This year was my third stay in this hotel in a row (coming for North Sea Jazz fest). That alone speaks for itself. Love coming back. Family hotel with cozy rooms, nice small garden for breakfest (summer mornings feel like a reward there), super friendly staff, great location. Already planning to come back next year. For vinyl record diggers, there are multiple record shops on the street just behind the corner.
