We loved the mixture of cool designer shops and restaurants from several different countries. Coming from the UK it seems amazing that any street can sustain such a rich mix. The street is also brilliantly situated for walking east into the city centre and west to the exquisite Delfshaven. Our room was in the basement and backed out on to the back patio. It was super quiet. The main lounge/reception area is staffed by friendly people and affords a good opportunity to talk to other guests from around the world.

The virtual check-in is a bit of a palaver but we managed it.

I emergency-booked a room at 171 after escaping a horrendous hotel nearby, so the expectations weren't high – any clean and comfortable place would do. The experience exceeded all expectations! We had a nice room, took advantage of complimentary hot beverages, and enjoyed having breakfast in the stylish shared space – as resourceful travellers, we usually buy products for breakfast in supermarkets and have our food in the room, and 171 offers a microwave for heating up meals, which was super convenient. There is also a possibility to use the shared room as a teleworking space. The place is centrally located and will suit guests who are looking for convenience and flexibility. If you are into more traditional hotels with buffets - nope, not a place for you, but for us, it worked out perfectly.

The windows don't have a ventilation mode and it was impossible to open ours fully, either – the air was a bit stuffy at night.

Very nice room we had on the firstfloor underground. There was a surprise bathtub right when we just stepped into the room. Comfortable bed and blackout curtains were very good. The location is close by many good restaurants, supermarket and only 15-20 mins away from the market hall. During the State of Trance event, is a nice stay for the money.

The stairs down were very narrow, would recommend using the elevator if you have luggage. The downstairs doubled up as a storage room, there were cleaning trolleys and lying bags of unwashed bedding in the corridor. There is no fridge in the room, only a small one in the reception room which was not so convenient. In the shower the glass didn't cover the whole shower area strangely, the water ran into the sink and toilet so the floor was always wet. There were no slippers so you better bring your own.

The hotel is central. Checking in and out were simple and straightforward. The room was smallish, but it had everything I needed. The bed, linen, and pillows were super comfortable. The room was spotless and was made up daily. The coffee/tea room is a very nice touch. The location is excellent, 3 minutes walk to the metro so easy to reach any part of Rotterdam. Perfect for a week-long business trip.

The beam in the bathroom is an issue. After banging my head several times, I learned to remember it!! I would recommend adding a few reflective strips or some colour to help avoid accidents.

Almost everyhting perfect: very clean, perfect bed, bright room, good lights, nice atmosphere, excellent bathroom, good 24hr check-in, perfect climate-control and ventilation, friendly lobby to get a coffee and meet.

It should really be made clear if you book a room on street-side or courtyard-side. Street-side rooms are (very) noisy because of cars and motos, the other rooms I think are silent. So if you use cars or motos in cities yourself, go book a street-side room, cause you the one who makes that noise for others, go enjoy your own nosie! All others, make sure to book a courtyard room. But at booking.com I see not implemented that you can choose. So I will not return until this fixed.

The rooms are very clean. The staff are friendly. Especially Dani was very helpful, friendly and quick to return messages. Although the rooms are somewhat small, the living room on the ground floor is very cosy. Also the coffee and tea are free. The location is also good. It would have been great if in the room there was a chair with a back support so that a laptop can used comfortably while working. However, you may opt to work in the living room while enjoying cup of coffee or tea.

This is probably the most complimentary review I've ever left, but the guys totally deserve it. Thank you for a wonderful place to live and work and for your hospitality. I would like to admit the following: Price/quality ratio Great location (groceries, restaurant of any kind, transportation, city center - everything is nearby) Daily room cleaning (even though we haven't asked to) AC in the room Comfortable living room with kitchen zone and free coffee / microwave wwen / drinking water Free wifi Smooth check in and check out process, possibility for late check in Friendly and responsive administration

The Hotel is nice with great location in Rotterdam Centre. Clean and very well decorated. The Staff was very helpful when i contact them about loosing my OV.

The automatic door opening was too complex. The Room was cousy but a bit cold and there was not extra blanket or something. If we are doing the reservation with booking i don't see the point of paying a deposit in the facilities.

It was really great! Hotel is located in a super nice alternative and active area, but the room was quiet and comfortable. The living room with free cofee, tea and hot water made us feel welcome and well cared for.

I would love there to be a bit more possibilities related to meal preparation (such as a cutting board and some knives) and maybe dishes in the living area for longer stays, but the place is very generous even without it.

The auto check-in and check-out is very convenient and works without trouble. The way to open the door even before you do the check-in was also perfect via the phone. The bed is very comfortable, the size of the room was really good and the amount of hangers for the clothes was just perfect. The bathroom and shower perfect too.

The noise during the night was a little challenge to sleep due to the bars close by.
