This was my second stay, and from start to finish it was excellent, with friendly staff, a huge room by today's hotel standards, very clean too, with a great breakfast served piping hot at 7:30. It is in a terrific location too, near the arts/musueum district and only a 15 minute walk from the central train station with Eurostar connections all over Europe. Finally, the price was half of what I would expect to pay. Hint: stay here and train into Amsterdam for day trips to see the sights.

Really nothing. They have adopted self-check-in, like many hotels, but there was always a friendly, well-informed person at the front desk every morning.

The rooms were nice. We were glad to have air conditioning (as it rained so we couldn't leave our window open). The self check in process was surprisingly simple!

We needed to leave our luggage for the day after checking out. But the staff was not there during the posted hours. However, we ended up just leaving our luggage in our room, and the staff was extremely helpful and accommodating when we came back to get it later. Also, guests should be aware that the stairs up to all the rooms are very steep, which is common in many Dutch hotels.

I stayed at the hotel for almost 1 week and felt very looked after by all the staff. They let me use the fridge and the kitchen when I need and overall were very friendly and helpful - which made my stay truly enjoyable. The room was nice, not huge but comfortable enough for one person and quiet as my window faced out into the courtyard. I tried the breakfast on a few occasions which was great too. Location was amazing, super close to everything, walking distance!

My only comment would be about the double bed which was made out of 2 single bed mattresses so it didn't quite feel like a double. It was comfortable enough but if I were to improve 1 thing - it would be that.

The room is okay. The location is in a quiet neighborhood but there are a few sights nearby, some cafes and restaurants, and public transport options. It's also an easy 15 minute walk from the train station if you don't want to pay for the tram. The staff was fine. One was friendlier than the other. We didn't buy the breakfast so can't comment on it.

The room was a bit small and there wasn't any wardrobe or drawers to unpack, but we only stayed one night so it wasn't that big of an issue for us. Small TV if you care about that, which we don't. Otherwise there was nothing negative.

Room is decent, breakfast setup is very homey and warm atmosphere. But the most important fact is the people who work there. Very very helpful and always ready to help! I got a feeling of ‘home away from home’. Staff is the main assets here.

The night entrance was stiff, and hard for me to push open on the 1st attempt. At my age, I need to try a few times.

Hotel Light is a cozy and cute hotel. The room in the second floor was very nice and clean. I really liked the interior and its design. Everything is close by, max 7 minutes walk: public transportation, 2 supermarkets, ATM, restaurants and shops.

In the bedroom, hooks for hanging e.g. toiletry bag. I had a lot of mosquitoes in my room after opening the window. A net in front of the window (from outside) prevents it.

Staff was very friendly , welcoming and property is well located and within walking distance from Central Station, Shops and restaurants. We came for the Rotterdam Marathon and received a gift to say good luck for the race which was very considerate and wonderful. Housekeeping provided us with an iron and an ironing board for our clothes.

Property doesn’t have a lift and walking up the stairs to the 2nd floor after running a marathon was a bit of a challenge.

Loved this place. Quiet, view, comfortable bed, good shower, attic room with view of historic buildings across the street. Would happily stay again or longer.

A couple of bits of maintenance are needed - towel rail in bathroom isn't working and AC unit isn't working. No drama for our stay, but probably needs sorted in time for summer or winter.

The room was perfectly equipped, and really clean/ tidy. The staff was also very helpful and friendly! Overal the location is perfect because it is only a 12-13minute walk to the city center.

There is no parking included, and you have to park somewhere by the street or accross, and pay the parking costs for that which were quite high/ expensive.

Good location, good breakfast for my taste, and the entire company of 4 people is very good. Parking for cars approximately 0.5 km from the hotel for 25 euros per day. Friendly staff.

If you want to send a video to your friends, the speed via Wi-Fi will not please you at all, but it will not upset you too much. In our room, the bedside lamp did not have a button, and the plug was simply inserted and removed from the socket, but this is a small thing.
