Loved the location. Central Auckland, walking distance to everything. The breakfast included is such a good deal. Buffet Breakfast, saved me from worrying about shopping although woolworths is literally 3 doors away.

The only thing that annoyed me was on the Saturday night, the cars dragging out the window. The clubs are right there aswell but the music wasn't a problem. Just the people in the streets.

Nice free buffet breakfast. Room was better than expected (Big TV, 3 beds in the room). Air con was great. Worth the price we paid. Love how we had a fridge and microwave in the room. Location is awesome (Woolworths couple of doors down).

Having to wait around during checkout to get our cash deposit back. Needs flannels in room. Got dust (paint) all on our clothes from the right elevator. (Should've had a sign) Little tiny milks not enough for 2 coffees. Anyone can go to any floor (not secure)

The girl at check in was busy but she did her best to get through the long line and also phone calls she did an awesome job under pressure. We had an Edit room facing the sky tower (as per request) to see the Matariki look for the sky tower for the night. Location was really good 1 min walk to Woolworths and 3 min walk to Sky city. Shower had good pressure room was really big with 180 degrees windows to the city loved it. We also liked the late checkout as request. We didnt use any other facilities. I thought for Matariki weekend the rooms will be expensive but i thought they had reasonable pricing for that weekend!

The curtain rods were a bit flimsy.

Convenient to all shops. They store luggage for free.

Luggage storage feels a bit not secured. Anyone can pick up bags or luggage.

Location, room and bed, and view of sky tower were superb. Pamela, who oversaw the continental breakfast in the dining room was so welcoming. Every morning she asked us about our sightseeing trips around auckland and was generally interested in what we were doing that day. A real asset and valuable team member for the hotel. She deserves recognition from management.

I originally booked Edit hotel when it was called The President Hotel. the booking was 4 months ago. Absolutely no communication that it had been rebranded Edit hotel. Fortunately the taxi driver knew about the change. Management could have done a better job of informing guests about the change and also telling the guests that breakfast was only continental now and not cooked like advertised. And also you had to pay now and not included in nightly price. Better communication needed from management and not left up to staff

The room was standard - had everything you would expect but nothing special. The location is great. You can reach everything by foot. When we arrived there was a wonderful staff member from Australia (forgot his name) who gave a lot of recommendations for the area and wanted to make sure we had a great time. Thank you for this! Rest of the staff at reception was Ok. For the price a very good choice

The included breakfast was not vegetarian friendly and not very good at all. As vegetarian you can just eat bread with butter/jam and oats. No non-dairy milk. Furthermore they didn't put these little sign up that say what the food is. So we thought it is hashbrown but it was fish. Staff in the kitchen/breakfast area also didn't seem to know what they serve (is the sausage chicken/pork?) and couldn't help at all when asked something and also didn't seem to care. The shower makes a really loud noise when using it - the person showering can't hear it but the other person in the room. No clue what that was.

President Hotel is definitely value for money. The hotel's location is super central and has easy access to everything that you need being directly next to Countdown. The breakfast included is basic but still good, boasting hashbrowns, eggs, sausages, bacon and juices. I would definitely recommend staying here based on value for your money.

While President Hotel was overall excellent for what you're paying, please keep in mind that there are a few wacky things about the hotel. The elevators are very problematic at times, they often won't work when you need them and will detour to other floors without prompting. There is a maximum of 15 minutes of hot water in the showers so just be mindful of that, the windows in our room didn't open so it often got very hot easily. Overall these were just smaller details that I think could be improved upon but a still an overall nice stay.

Central location, the lady at concierge reception on the 14th august around 10am-12pm was so attentive and professional I was very impressed with her ethic and how friendly she was. Also got a free room upgrade wjen I checked in before with another staff member- much appreciated !

One of the bedside lamps were not working. And the wifi was very bad and spotty- had to use my data almost the whole time. The bathroom drawer for the towels was hard to open. Construction close by starting somewhat early in morning so not ideal for those wanting early sleeps or sleep ins

The location is absolutely ideal — right in the city center with everything you need nearby. There’s a supermarket just next door, and major attractions like the Sky Tower and Queen Street are only a few minutes' walk away. It also takes just around 10 minutes to get to the harbor. I've stayed here a few times now. The location is great, and the pricing is usually pretty good. The free breakfast won't suit every customer but is a great addition to an already affordable stay. I had one of the newly renovated rooms which is looking nice, and had a big TV with Sky Sports (I prefer sky to the streaming services offered at most hotels these days). I hope after renovations the pricing doesn't shoot up because I like this level of accommodation, in the middle between cheap and fancy.

There was no aircon remote in a windowless room. I had to ask the front desk twice to get it sorted but eventually they found one for me. The elevators are slow and noisy, which I heard constantly in my room on the 4th floor near the lifts.
