I liked everything,it was so clean and tidy,friendly staff,you staff do an amazing job keep up the great work you all do,it was my second time here and I'll definitely be back a third time if not more than that,it's an amazing place would definitely recommend for anyone looking for accomodation in Auckland especially if they want to do things in the city as everythings so close.

Apart from it being hot one night everything was excellent but it's nobody's fault it was hot I think it was the temperature from outside,it was only the one night it was hot the last 2 nights I slept perfect

Conveniently located in central Auckland. Clean. Comfortable. Friendly. Hairdryers. Spices and oils in kitchen. Free things carefully managed. Easy to handle luggage.

Every hostel has a negative. This negative was one shared by many places. You had to pay for a towel. The best thing to do is bring a towel, soap, shampoo, and a hairdryer. That way you are prepared for whatever one negative the hostel has. Attic backpackers has minimal problems, especially considering all of the good things available for people who stay here.

Location: right next to the Sky Tower in the cbd, very convenient located if you are coming from the airport on the Sky Drive bus, a short walk to the waterfront, the shopping area, ferry to Waiheke, etc. Big room, spacious for 6 people. Comfy bed, clean bedding and room, with selves to put your stuff Nice big bathroom, good shower pressure and clean. Clean big kitchen with lovely terrace Very safe with security codes to access the premises, with clear instructions for late arrivals

No plug charger next to the bed, specially if you have to sleep on the top bunk bed Very tall pillow

There are many good things there: - The location is perfect for strolling around downtown. - The place is extremely clean in every room, including bunk beds. - The kitchen is awesome and adapted for cooking. Everything is also cleaned and stored. - Chill room is nice and comfortable for work.

The only issue was that you could not use Wi-Fi or work in the common area before check-in, which is weird because cameras are everywhere. This is also normal in more than 35 countries' hostels, guesthouses, and hotels I have been travelling to. When I inquired whether they kicked me out, they said yes (politely). When I checked out, I could sit for 1-2 hours after 10 AM. So, if you are sensitive to such things, you may try finding another staying option. Because of this issue I did not leave the highest score.

I don’t understand why the ratings for this hostel aren’t higher compared to the competition. I was also in the YMCA and K road city travelers hostels and the attic is just better by far. The staff is super friendly, it’s very clean and has lots of facilities. You can really tell they put some thought into making this place traveler-friendly. The kitchen and common areas are spacious and again much more things than in a more standard hostel.

Only major annoyance is that the kitchen is closed for cleaning from 10am to 12. I understand cleaning is necessary, but maybe start only at 10:30? Or clean with two people so you’re twice as fast? The beds could be a bit better designed. Like even a small shelf for the top bunk would make life up there easier. (But again the other hostels are worse!)

Second time I am staying in thus hostel in 10 days. The facilities are great: good rooms, and clean bathrooms and kitchen. Nice terrace. Great location, close to everything and the sky drive bus and intercity bus station is just around the corner. Very friendly staff as well

Second time I stayed in the hostel. This time the room (4mixed) was smaller than the previous one (6female) and didn't have the shelves the first one has it so you have to leave your stuff on the floor. And no plug charger next to the bunk bed (at least to the top one).

Even tho I was in a 14 bed dorm, the room was very spacious, clean and tidy, kitchen was well equipped and toilets were also very clean. Good chill out areas, location near to everything, easy access to public transport, friendly staff

My room was very warm, not enough fans for all the beds, there weren’t curtains in the bunk beds, it gets quite noisy on the weekends. Kitchen closing hours are not the ideal (10am-12pm). The place is not the most sociable, majority of the ppl are very young Personally I felt very expensive for what it offers.

Location was great. Very central. Had all the amenities I needed for a few nights stay. Space felt safe. Staff were helpful.

Room was a bit warm, Windows opened but let in city noise from outside so it wasn't that quiet (fortunately I was exhausted and easily fell asleep, and earplugs are provided in the room.. )

It's a big hostel. The employees always open to help. Kitchen is big, clean and has a lot of utensils for the cooking, also very organized. The bathroom also pretty clean, good shower pressure and tempeture, and the good part that the showers section has also a private space to change in there. Lockers available and the doors. I'll rebook here in the future if it's needed

The only bad thing is that is pretty hot in side the hostel, there are fans working 24/7, it's helps a little, but still very hot in summer days.

The place was actually in an attic (hence the name!) so a little weird. However the staff were helpful and kind. The place was clean and the facilitties good. I.e. nice kitchen and showers and a TV room etc. Good location - vey near the town centre.
