Great location on Hobson Street. The apartment was perfect for a 7 night stay. Separate kitchen was good for having meals and leftovers which saved money. The hotel has a historic entry and first floor, but then the unit I had was in a modern tower in the back. A secondary entry was perfect to avoid stairs at the main entrance. Good hot shower, though I found it bothersome to have to close the bathroom door to use the toilet.

No china dishes, replaced with biodegradable paper products. The refrigerator was so cold it froze everything, including the milk capsules for the coffee. Took a phone call to reception to figure out how to turn on the heat.

Everything. This is a brilliant hotel with fantastic staff. Rooms are comfortable and well equipped. Fridge, iron and board. Tea and coffee facilities. Safety deposit box etc. Restaurant and small cafe in the foyer which opens Monday to Friday. The Restaurant is open daily for all meals and does lovely food. Close to Sky City and the tower (5 minute walk) and a 15 minute walk to the Quays and Marina, and all the bars and restaurants associated with the area. There is a laundry facility in the hotel with a laundromat only two doors away. Plenty of local convenience stores close by and a Subway if you get peckish. There is also Liquor store opposite. Would stay again. Perfect place and the price is good.

I liked friendly & quick service during check in whereby I was attended by Kiki who is an amazing staff to be the face of this apartment. Mr hearty thanks to her as when you feel welcomed at reception it leaves good vibes on your stay at property. I appreciated that my room was cleaned daily & towels changed, Thanks to all staff who cared for us during our stay.

Bathroom was bit small but manageable. If apartments have little balcony added in future it will be great to enjoy a cup of coffee sitting there.... BUT overall I have no complains as the apartment served the purpose I stayed there for with my Son.

Room service and overall customer service was prompt and good. The kitchenette was well equipped, it literally had everything, pans, disposable cutlery, glasses, dish washing liquid and even a tea towel ;and of course a water kettle and microwave. The room had all facilities that you look for when you are travelling with your family especially in our case with a toddler . Location was so easily accessible and almost in the heart of the city. The overall experience was just perfect. I highly recommend this hotel for whosoever is browsing and looking for customer review.

Big room with a cold portable aircon—there’s a bit of noise, but it didn’t bother us. The real issue is the staff didn’t inform us about the parking policy. It was such a hassle, and because of that, i’m pretty sure your rating is slowly going down because of that.

Parking is a hassle here—you have to book in advance because of the limited space, and it costs $30 per day, which is pretty bad. You’re better off picking a hotel nearby with free parking. We’re hotel hopping, so for us, this place is alright, but the parking inconvenience is a letdown.

I love how the room was accomadated for the two nights as I booked another day seprerate from my original booking. And they communicated this very well where check in was easy breezy. I also like how the room was comfortable and had a homely environment feel. My 5 year old nephew loves this hotel as well.

Location is so good and close to the skytower, and queen street, but hobson street is full of street people and well can't do much about location wise for this awesome hotel!. But other than that the laundry room accessibility was awkard and wasn't able to find convenience for eftpos option. Didn't have change on me.

It was a very enjoyable stay at the Auchland city hotel, the people were friendly, and it was clean. It's walking distance to a lot of spots you want to go to. i took my pillow, but I take it just in case , but my husband said the pillows were comfortable anyway.the bed was good to sleep on , I had a great time there, and you will too. Check out the place before booking anything else. Have a great time in New zealand.

Not much not to like about it, but just be careful when I booked it was with breakfast but when I got there it said I didn't book breakfast, but they give you a $5 discount if you pay on day you get there

The location was central and heady for us getting to where we wanted to be. It was clean and comfortable

We understand the reasoning for your trial of compostable dishes, but it wasn’t very practical for an overnight stay. There were also no plugs for any of the sinks. Perhaps not so much of an issue in the bathroom, but unit made washing up the dinner dishes a bit of a challenge! Alternatively we could have just let the water run down the drain, but that doesn’t seem to sit well with your attempts at being more sustainable

Great location and super accommodating to my after hours arrival. Staff member was friendly and they reserved a car bay for me! Upstairs / downstairs apartment was great. Rooms were comfortable and each bedroom had its own air conditioner. Flexible with a late checkout.

The bathroom could do with a makeover and was very small. It was clean but because of how old it is it just felt unclean if that makes sense? It would’ve been nice to have some bottled water in the room on arrival and the hotel restaurant was meh and very overpriced.

The staff in this place were welcoming and friendly. Check in was smooth and easy. The value for the rooms is what makes it very worth it. There's no other hotels that could accommodate 5 guests in 1 room with the price I got the room for! Some restaurants, cafe's and supermarket located just right outside the hotel. The room was clean, tidy and all the necessities in the bathroom, kitchen, bedroom were provided.

The elevator smelled like food - possibly because staff and guests use the same elevator. The entrance is also not obvious - google maps will not take you to their main entrance but their carpark. The main entrance is also located in a very busy one way street. The carpark is VERY small and narrow. My car has sensors but it was still VERY hard to park. The small gym is also located out in the corner at the carpark so people in the carpark will see you working out.
