I had a great stay at Albion hotel. The biggest advantage is the hotel's prime location at the heart of downtown Auckland. You are perfectly positioned to walk around Queen St., the Central Business District, and to the downtown ferry terminal! The room was cozy, clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The value for money you are getting is excellent with this hotel. I would definitely stay there again!

Although I had a very enjoyable stay, a few minor things to note: the noise from the beeping traffic light and cars outside can reach the room. The hotel is also located on top of a bar, so on busy nights that generates some additional noise. The customer service is good but not excellent (your room is not cleaned/replenished every day and when you run out of things, you will sometimes have to request it from the staff).

The hotel is a gorgeous heritage site in the best spot in the CBD if you're looking to explore the city. The room was cozy and had a rustic charm to it. The bed was perfect for the climate. The hotel and area were safe and the staff were pleasant and helpful. A nice happening spot for my solo girl trip!

I've got no complaints. If you've done your research and chosen The Albion, you're in for a pleasant surprise. The only disappointed guests will be those that didn't do their research and expected a 5-star.

The location is right across from Sky City, and close to bus routes. I could walk down Wellesley Avenue to my new favorite restaurant, Tony's Steakhouse and Seafood. It's a historic hotel.

The room was poorly designed in that it was big enough to add a kitchennette and walk-in shower. It should have a double bed, not a queen, so that one can walk in between the bed and window. There's no lift.

The location is central to town and is virtually opposite the SkyTower drop off point for the bus from the airport. It is excellent value for money. It is a basic hotel in which everything works. Shower, hot water and aircon all are in good order.

It is basic but that is compensated for with cleanliness a comfortable bed and value for money.

A very convenient place to be in Auckland. Indeed, 2 mins away from central bus station, 10 mins walking to the city center and shops nearby to buy some food, if not: pub in the house! The beds were very comfy, bathroom clean, staff friendly and we could leave our luggage for several hours. I would book again!

We lived the location as it left us close to all amenities, just a pity about the stairs as we found them a bit tiring as we're both pensioners ,otherwise the staff and facilities were excellent, great base if your planning on travelling the island , we found the people to be so friendly and welcoming, would love to visit again.

Again just the stairs we're tiring , everything else excellent it was such a pity , we had 🌀cyclone Gabrielle hit while we were there, such destruction 😢so sad to see.

The bed was very comfortable I had a good sleep on it.

No wall hooks to hung stuff on in the bathroom (toiletry bag, bathroom gown etc.), no towel rail and nothing attached to the side of the shower or on the wall in the shower to place your cake of soap on.

I liked how the staff were so friendly and the location was really close to the intercity bus stop. Pretty close to the sky tower too. Having our own shower was so good as well because we didn’t have to get out of our rooms.

Hair found on the shower. The shower handle were the opposite of the temperature of the water.

Location - right opposite the Intercity bus station.and St Matthews Anglican Church where my great grand parents were married in 1872 - the hotel was built in 1873. Management- very friendly and efficient management and housekeeper Relocated me from third to first floor as I had a large and heavy suitcase carrying my business papers. Provided me with bowl.spoon and knife so that I could eat my muesli and banana breakfast purchased from nearby convenience store.

No lift or porter service in this heritage building. Had the same problem when staying at a heritage B & B in County Clare, Ireland in 2018. In both instances I was relocated from the 3rd to a lower floor.by sympathetic staff who know how to help a senior citizen born 4/4/44..

Everything in this Hotel is perfect for me, The building is old and also most of the room but its a good location if you need place close by to stay in the city🥰 We were there for one night for Beacon Festival ... Staff so nice and also the room was clean...Eventhou I have to take shower early in the morning and hot water not working but apart from that, everything was perfect 👌...I would love to go back sometimes....
