Overall, I had a positive experience. The location is fantastic, very close to the Sky Tower, with a great view from the room. The breakfast was delicious, and the staff were extremely friendly. The facilities were also very good for what they offer.

There were two issues. First, I stayed for three days, and one day didn’t include breakfast because it was booked separately. I asked if they could shift the breakfast I missed on another day due to an early tour, but they couldn’t accommodate that request, which felt a bit inflexible. Second, after checkout, I was charged an extra 30 NZD, and although they asked me to fill out a form for a refund, I haven’t received it yet. This kind of attention to detail is important, and it hasn’t been resolved

Location: The hotel’s location was absolutely excellent. Situated right in Auckland’s city centre, it was within easy walking distance of major attractions like the Sky Tower, the waterfront, and the shopping on Queen Street. There were also plenty of restaurants and public transport options nearby, which made exploring the city extremely convenient and saved us a lot of travel time. Our room was modern, with a comfortable king-sized bed and a balcony overlooking the city. The room was not only clean and stylish but also very comfortable. The bed in particular was fantastic – extremely cozy with fresh, high-quality linens, ensuring we had a great night’s sleep. We also appreciated having a balcony view of downtown Auckland, which was a wonderful bonus. Everything felt newly renovated and well-maintained, contributing to a very pleasant stay. The staff were very nice and provided excellent service throughout our visit. From check-in to check-out, every employee we encountered was friendly, professional, and eager to help. They even gave us local tips and promptly assisted with any requests we had, which made us feel truly welcome. Their warm hospitality definitely enhanced our experience. The hotel’s breakfast buffet area was clean, inviting, and well-stocked each morning. We really enjoyed the breakfast each morning – it was almost excellent. There was a wide selection of hot and cold dishes, from eggs and pastries to fresh fruit and cereals. The food was tasty, and we left feeling satisfied and well-fed to start our day. It was nearly a perfect breakfast experience, just shy of outstanding due to one or two very minor details, but overall we thoroughly enjoyed it.

The room size was a downside. With two large suitcases, it was difficult to find space to open and organize them, and the layout felt too cramped for a comfortable multi-night stay. We also found the breakfast experience slightly overwhelming. The chef was very friendly and enthusiastic—something I’m sure many guests truly appreciate—but for us, it felt a bit too much, especially in the morning when we preferred a quieter start to the day. It might just be a personal preference, and I can imagine others would enjoy the lively atmosphere, but for us it ultimately made the experience less relaxing and was one of the reasons we chose not to rebook, despite the property’s many positives.

This hotel truly deserves top ratings. It has been fully renovated and features spacious, comfortable rooms. The location is excellent—right in the city center, close to the port with ferries to the islands, great restaurants, and various leisure spots. Public transport is very convenient, with city bus stops right across the street and a direct airport bus just around the corner. The staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive, both at the reception and in the restaurant. The breakfast is outstanding, offering fresh ingredients, a wide selection, and a live cooking station for omelets and fried eggs. The entire hotel is spotless, with high-quality toiletries and personal care products. Additionally, the hotel actively promotes and encourages eco-friendly practices.

I didn't find

I stayed for 2 nights, and I wished I had stayed longer. The hotel was amazing, clean, and sophisticated. The staff were fantastic, the room was perfect, the walk-in shower with the large square shower head was heaven, and the bed was huge and super comfy. I dined in for breakfast, and the food was fresh and delicious. On request, Chris, the chef, was there to make you a yummy gourmet omelet, and Amy, your host was so friendly. The hotel is within an 8 minute walk to the Sky tower and 15 minute walk to the bustling viaduct. Perfect for me as I didn't have a car. I highly recommend it, and I will definitely stay again. I didn't have a view of the city lol

The hotel was great! Ticked every box, lovely staff that were super helpful and went above and beyond printing things for me and arranging last minute parking, the room service was fast and hot and delicious, the lobby smells amazing and has a gorgeous interior, the bed and pillows were super comfortable, the view was amazing and the location was ideal next to city works depot for food and exercise and all sorts. I will definitely book again. Such great value for a super premium four star experience.

The shower pressure wasn't the best but thats the only fault i could find if I really had to.

Great view from our room. Comfortable beds. Food was good. Had the buffet breakfast, used room service and had a great dinner. Staff were really friendly and accomodating.

Quite a few voucher systems to use - 15% off a meal, a green clean $10 voucher etc. But we were not given the 15% voucher and only received one of the two green clean vouchers we were entitled to. When we asked we were made to feel that it was our fault and we must have lost them (both times). This was not the case and it tarnished our overall experience.

The hotel is located conveniently in the downtown Auckland area. Exactly right next to the Sky Tower. the SkyDrive bus station is just a few feet away from the hotel. The hotel staff is extremely friendly and the hotel offers a fantastic breakfast buffet. The bedroom is very spacious and comes with modern and up-to-date facilities. Most importantly the hotel is located in a very safe neighborhood and just walking distance from most sightseeing landmarks.

There were a couple of things that stood out for me that I thought the hotel could improve a little bit. To begin with, while the hotel offers a very nice breakfast buffet, however, the hotel could change the menu a bit since I found the breakfast was repetitive during my stay. Again it is not a huge deal breaker for me. Finally, I also found that it would be nice if the hotel offered a laundry facility on-site rather than having to go somewhere else. Luckily the laundromat was just around the corner from the hotel.

The hotel seems very new, everything was very clean. The bed was super comfortable and had a pillow menu should you prefer an alternative to the ones provided. We found the ones provided very comfortable. Reception were very friendly and helpful. They stored our luggage and checked us in when we arrived early in the morning. We had a day of activities planned with the first being at Sky City which was 5 minutes away. There is a coffee shop in the foyer although we did not use it as it was closed when we returned.

We initially turned up at the wrong hotel as google maps does not seem to recognise this one, probably as so new and gets mixed up with the hotel on Hobson Street. Both our Uber drivers made the same mistake so do check the address carefully if using uber/taxi to get there.

Great location. Easy walk to Britomart and Sky City is basically next door. Supermarket 5 mins away. Bus stops out front and takes you to Newmarket. Service was excellent. Staff were extremely responsive. Bed was divinely comfortable and the pillows luxurious. The room was spotlessly clean. Handy little cafe on the ground floor. Amenities in the room were good. Loved the smell of the hand/body wash and lotions.

Everything was great. Not many negatives. I didn’t like the scent in the lobby. It took a while for my room to get serviced but when I followed up they responded immediately. Blackout curtains weren’t all that dark and they let some light through. Some road noise even though the windows are double glazed.

We loved our stay! Check-in was quick and easy. Staff were pleasant. Decor was fresh with clean lines and safisticated yet modern. Elevators were quick. The room was well presented and clean. We really valued the amazing quality of the pillows, including the extra long pillows. The bed was nice and comfy. Couch was surprisingly comfortable. The bathroom was user-friendly, good layout, two options of showers head, including rain fall. Handy mirror on swivel above bathroom basin. Breakfast buffet was lovely and worth it. You had pastry and bread options, to bacon, breakfast sausages, fancy baked beans, mushrooms, salad bar, fruit bar, yogurts, cereal, juice options and more. My favorite was the on order omelette with a options of ham, cheese, onion etc. Cooked in front of you. The location of the hotel is a very short 2min walk to Skycity Casino. We opted to utilize the Casino carpark as we could gain free parking from accumulating Premium Card point, saving us some money. Number of eateries on the same street heading towards Queen Street. We valued the discount on the accommodation as a Genius member of Booking.com, which made it highly competitively priced. We will definitely go back if pricing remains competitive.

Our room was the floor below the gym and each morning we would wake to dumbells being dropped which was less than desirable. We did request some milk and extra towels and we're surprised that it took a couple of hours before we received them.
