This was our third two-night stay here since January (we were on an extended trip from the UK, visiting Pacific islands and Australia as well as New Zealand. It meant we arrived in NZ three times during our trip. We've previously reviewed the Ramada Suites and can only say that our room had everything that we needed - the laundry facilities in the bathroom were particularly welcome. The property is well situated within the CBD and in short walking distance of the harbour.

We were very happy with everything but maybe little bedside chests of drawers would be better than the tables there at present.

My friends had booked at Travel Lodge where we also stayed last year but i booked at Ramada because we knew we would really only be sleeping at the hotel & saved $200 over the 3 nights. We were very pleasantly surprised at the facilities considering that it was cheaper than what my friends were paying. We had a full kitchenette with induction hob, dishwasher, microwave, sink & the bathroom had a washing machine & dryer none of which were included in our friends units. The icing on the cake was the quiet aircon, we were able to have this running all night giving us such a comfortable sleep.

We can't actually think of a negative thing to say about our stay

Excellent location, spacious rooms in apartment with balcony room. Quiet and comfortable would absolutely stay here again. Close to public transit and excellent cafes

Stove and oven were hard to figure out, and had no manual available. Very modern which unfortunately means unnecessarily complicated. Staff great but "upgraded" us to a smaller room without balcony without our approval. Booked the room with balcony months in advance to ensure we had a balcony. Made the check in process more or a hassle than necessary. Washer and dryer great, but dryer vent points into the bathroom so everything gets covered in lint.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is very good. It's a straight road to Queen Street if you need the shops. Sky Tower is 5 minutes away, and you can get a coach from there to the airport. Booking is not essential. Coaches leave every 30 minutes. Close by the hotel is a good pub - the Empire Hotel, which serves good food and a wide selection of drinks. On the opposite corner is the Brewery Co-operative, which serves a wide selection of craft beers and food until late. The hotel room has a fridge, and there's a selection of teas and coffees and a kettle. There's also milk in the fridge.

Our apartment room was large, well set up and comfortable - even got a view of the sky tower from our window.

The receptionist on duty when we checked in was the most unhelpful person we met in our entire time in New Zealand. She had a complete lack of customer service skills, hardly looked at us throughout the whole check-in process, had an ear bud in the whole time listening to music, when asked about the parking the only answer we got was that "it's full" with no hint or suggestions of where else we could park. She also never mentioned the WiFi access code which wasn't clear to find. This person either needs retraining or needs to find a job they like As it really let the rest of the hotel down - would have been a great hotel experience if it wasn't for this extremely poor service.

First, about the location. The hotel is in the CBD of Auckland, about 300m from the Sky Tower, and 1 km from the harbour. There are many restaurants and cafes by the side of the harbour. There are also several convenience stores and supermarkets nearby the hotel. The apartment is spacious and clean, with one bedroom and a well-equipped kitchen. There is also a washing machine and a drying machine. There is a heating rack inside the bathroom where you can dry your clothes. The staff are polite and helpful. There is a car park at the basement of the hotel where you can can park your car very conveniently. Overall this is a very satisfactory hotel.

Nothing.

The hotel was perfectly located, close to the Sky Tower which was great for the airport shuttle. We could have used local transport from the airport, but the shuttle was definitely the right choice. Our room was on the 1st floor so quick and easy on the lift and had great facilities including a washing machine and dryer which was much needed after our travels. The hotel is a short 5-10 minute walk from the marina and ferry terminals and a trip to Devenport and Waiheke Island is highly recommended. Great location for shopping also and for real ale fans, there a brilliant pub opposite that does food.

It is a short downhill walk to the Viaduct Harbor area that has lots of food and drink options and it is also the starting point for lots of boat tours. . walking along the shore, it isn’t too far to the lower part of Queen Street. The kitchenette was better equipped than some BnBs I have used. A bonus was a small washer and dryer….they were kind of loud, but not enough to keep me from using them! It provides a nice opportunity to reset your laundry situation. This hotel is also used as a pick-up spot for many tour operators, a nice bonus. In fact, I will be retuning here later in my travels to do just that. I had minimal contact with the staff, but they were very nice when I did.

Nothing negative for me.

This hotel is a short walk from Sky city and the bus to/from the airport. I felt safe, even when walking back after a show at around 9:00 PM. The hotel is pretty basic but functional. Check in was easy. Note that there is no one manning the desk between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM. The room was very clean. It is compact but they have made the most of the space. It is the standard new Ramada look for hotels across NZ. There was a separate bedroom, small kitchen and dining table and lounge. I was only there for one night so only used the toaster and microwave but had I stayed longer I might have cooked something. It was nice to have a dishwasher. There was a washer/dryer that I also didn't use. The TV is small but adequate. You can log onto your own device and watch shows if you want to. I was more interested in the news so it suited me to be able to log onto TVNZ. The bed was comfy. Sheets nice. Shower pressure was good. Heated Towel rack was nice. Towels fluffy. Toiletries were nice.

I had asked about a coffee plunger and I was told that there was one but there was not. Also no plunger coffee. Some body cream would have been nice. Tissues would also have been nice. I did not like having to leave a $100 (plus $2.50 credit card fee) deposit to cover potential damage to the room.

The two bedroom 2 bathroom apartment had everything needed for a weekend . The location worked well for our family event in the city. We enjoyed the balcony and the view of the city, harbour bridge and water.

It makes no sense to only give one access fob per room for 6th floor guests. We had 4 adults all on different schedules. Sharing one fob was a huge inconvenience in the middle of the night. The parking spaces are ridiculously small with tight access. Parking on a hoist makes it difficult to manoeuvre and get luggage and people out with poles in way etc. Also, we did not give permission for our car to be hoisted- not that it was.
