The Staff were a pleasure to deal with, well the 2 female ones anyway 🙂. Very welcoming and always had a smile. The dudes need to reelaaax a little, you know, stop tryna look hard or whatever tf it is. You're in the hospitality industry, LOOK hospitable man! 😄

My toilet seat, lol, was a little loose, and the 2 armchairs hadn't been vacuumed underneath. My booking stated a balcony, but got a room without one.

I loved staying here! It was centrally located but also nice and quiet. There’s everything you need for a longer stay. Staff were friendly, leaving luggage after checkout was easy. This would be my first choice if I’m ever back in Auckland!

Just fyi they didn’t make the bed/change the sheets at all during my weeklong stay, even when I put up the “service room” sign. Not a priority for me but could be for others

Everything was amazing. The parking was reasonably priced and easy to access. The lady at reception was so friendly and made you feel welcome. The room was so good and not what we were expecting. We had a 2bdrm unit with a lounge room and with a balcony and everything was great. It totally exceeded our expectations as we though we were getting a queen size bed in one room. We also had a view of Auckland harbour in the distance. The hotel was close to Queen St and shops downstairs. The price for all of this was very cheap and very much worth it.

The only thing I could possibly say that is negative is there was no milk for coffee. So that's very minor. Great place and il definitely stay again.

Loved that it was easy to check in and out, friendly and very helpful staff, very professional and easy access in and out. Very convenient to a lot of the tourist attractions and thoroughly enjoyed our short stay in this hotel. 5☆☆☆☆☆ 10/10

Only thing didn't like was that when we had our sign put out to please make the bed/room, the coffee tea and sugar container was left empty and wasn't refilled, hence having to keep going down to reception to ask for more sugar, tea and coffee sashes. Otherwise, it was definitely great.

There was no breakfast served at VR. Your room information book suggested to go to Hobson Cafe for breakfast but the place is no longer there but is now a Thai restaurant. Your room book should be upgraded.

The TV didn’t work. Had to call the night shift man (receptionist) to help us. Can’t change the TV channels. The coffee table is shaky. My husband didn’t like the single beds joined to make into a queen size bed. The joining part hurts his back.

The place was perfect for us after a long flight from Europe. We had everything - coffee, tea, shampoos and so on and we could wash our clothes there as well so it was refreshing. The staff were super helpful and nice, especially when we were so jet lagged. I was glad to book this place, because it felt like our own small apartment in a great location - we could reach all the shops and nice places by feet. Would definitely recommend this place to others as well!

We had a kerfuffle with our flights and they were very accomodating, offering a very late check in. The rooms are nice with balcony views, plenty of space and good ammenities. We were able to store our bags on our last day while we waited for our flights. It's a small walk into the CBD, noting that a lot of Auckland is on an incline so be ready for that! The staff offered to help us with drying our laundry and regularly swapped out our towels and bin.

The ammenities are great including having a washer-dryer however I couldn't find instructions on how to use it. A guide would be nice as I found it a little confusing. We had our towels swapped out regularly but not the bathmat. It would also be good to have a couple of other items for longstays such as dishwashing liquid and cloths (we rarely used enough dishes to run the dishwasher), having the clothes horse in the room (we requested it and it was immediately provided but it would have been a pain if we had already started washing clothes), tissues and maybe some longlife milk pods would be nice too. None of this took away from my stay but it would have enhanced it! I also found that the bedroom would become really during the day but there were no vents or fans in there.

My 2nd room was perfect. If I had this room from the beginning, then I would've rated my stay higher. The night receptionist was extremely helpful and lovely! Made my experience much better and I felt better knowing I got exactly what I paid for.

First receptionist wasn't helpful or listening to my queries. I told her that I paid for a room that had a tumble dryer, she insisted the washing machine was a 2 in 1 but it definitely wasn't. I didn't check until I came back from my walk and that's when I noticed my room was also meant to come with a balcony. I went downstairs to talk to the receptionist again but it was a new lady, she was very understanding and put me in the correct room I paid for. First room was dirty, a lot of damages and the washing machine was definitely just a washing machine and not a dryer too. So I'm assuming First receptionist put me in the wrong room or didn't think I'd query why my room isn't what I paid for and tried to rip me off. Super thankful to the second receptionist

Nice comfortable room, spacious and the beds were really super comfortable. A washing machine was handy in the room but no dryer. Lady in reception was sweet. Location was good, we walked everywhere, didn’t need the car.

The cost of parking was a bit steep, $30 a night! Also no dryer in the room and no where even to hang the clothes. The hand soap was empty. Also I like a tv in the bedroom m, it’s my little motel treat but there was only one in the lounge.

I LOVED EVERYTHING - THE MANGAER/GENGLEMENT NAME ''NICK'' HE WAS SUPER AMAZING, NICK WENT BEYOND AND ABOVE THING JUST TO MAKE MY DAUGHTER AND I STAYED COMFTABLE ❤️ 💙 THIS IS THE BEST EVER EXPERIENCE WE HAVE AND HAD IN OUR TIME OF TRAVELLING 🥰 THE LADIES AT THE FRONR DESK ARE BEAUTIFU AND VERY FRIENDLY - EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS HOTEL TICK ALL THE BOXES FROM THE FRONT DESK TO THE ROOM SERVICE - my daughter did not want to leave at all and she became very close to the workers ad they very nice and super friendly to my 8year old daughter, thank you sooo much guys ❤️❤️ TOOOOP OF THE SCALE ✅️✅️ THANKS YOU SOOO MUCH VR HOTEL - AND SPECIAL THANKS TO ''NICK'' you mad our stay 100% amazing/fun and very comftable 🙏🫡 NICK YOU ARE SUPER AMAZING 🙏🙏 TEAM NICK ✅️ TEAM NICK ✅️ TEAM NICK ✅️ Thank you NICK, THE beautiful Ladies at the front desk and VR HOTEL crew 🙏🫰
