A Warm and Welcoming Stay at Tui Lodge Coromandel! Our stay at Tui Lodge was nothing short of fantastic! The highlight was undoubtedly the amazing staff like Naomi and Claudia. Owner Dianne and her staff standing out for their exceptional hospitality. They were so helpful and friendly, going above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The combination of comfortable accommodation and the team’s genuine care and warmth made this a standout experience. Tui Lodge is the definition of true hospitality, and we can’t wait to visit again. Highly recommended to anyone seeking a peaceful and welcoming retreat!

We were graciously changed into an ensuite room. The cabin with the private toilet and shower was quirky and comfortable. However no good for my elderly mother. There was a step up onto the toilet platform of the private toilet. The ensuite room was spacious and the beds super comfortable. A lovely breeze blew through the windows. The shower was less abled accessible and there was plenty of water pressure and got water. The host was super lovely and the grounds were immaculate. We enjoyed the common lounge area, and my Mum had a snooze there. It was an enjoyable stay, very relaxing.

The room was lovely, and the bed was great, nice and clean, shower nice to. Only thing would have been nicer was if there was a small kitchen for jug and plates etc and a small fridge to make it easier for breakfast etc in our room. There was a jug and tray with cups and glasses with tea, coffee, sugar and small UHT milk provided in the room. Not sure if other rooms may have had a small kitchen? We just assumed! We would stay again. We were very happy with our stay though. Thanks heaps
Nothing we didnt like, just as a above would have made it even better.

This property is one of the best I have stayed at within this price range. Great wee room and a private fabulous walk in shower. The water pressure was great. The kitchen was well supplied with utensils, pots and pans. Very clean facility overall, and very quiet as it is out of town. It was nice to hear the Tui and Ruru calling.
A shelf or two in the bathroom to put toiletry bags etc on would be handy. Could have done with a bath mat though, or a lower hemmed shower curtain as the floor got very wet right up to the toilet a couple of times.

Decent sized room with adequate furniture. Our room was a reasonable distance to walk to the toilet in the middle of the night…my advice ( for what it’s worth) pay more and get a room with a bathroom, they are much better with good facilities and towel provided….there is no towel with the rooms with shared bathroom use.
Next to a dorm room which was full and quite noisy and one of them sat on the chair outside our room and talked on the phone for almost an hour. There’s a stand alone toilet ( which is needed as the others are in with the showers so quite often in use) but has no hand washing facilities.

The lodge has a great chilled out vibe and the grounds were beautiful to spend time in. We extended our stay and used Tui Lodge as a base to explore the Coromandel which was a great decision. The bunk beds were comfy and the rooms were well ventilated and clean. There are two kitchens and several contained showers and loos so it was easy to have your own space and enjoy your dinner in one of the many seating areas. There were horses in the field adjacent to the lodge and they came up to say hello. Beyond their field was a view to the water and a great sunset view.
There was only one laundry machine and there wasn't an easy way to store food in the kitchen (other than the fridge) so we kept ours in our room. The wifi was unreliable so this made our admin attempts hard - we ventured in to town instead only to find that internet isn't great in the area in general!

The owners are very friendly, everything is very clean and well-kept. The location of the hostel is very quiet and there is a very relaxed atmosphere. I can't say anything about the WiFi, i used my data there.
Unfortunately, the beds squeak with every movement and in an 8-bed room you can easily wake up despite earplugs because the beds also "shake". When it is full or at peak times, the toilets and showers are quickly occupied - but for me it was no problem to wait haha

Lovely chilled atmosphere to the property and accommodations. Welcoming host. Nice range of spaces for cooking, relaxing, washing etc so never felt busy. Homely feel to it. Lovely countryside surroundings. Cozy cabin with nice views across to the sheep in the field.
Would have been nice to have the orchard area a no car zone. Spoilt the feel and look of the lovely citrus trees with cars parked under them. Seemed to be plenty of space for cars in the main carpark.

Clean & tidy room. I opted for the en-suite double room. Pleased to have a kettle & tea/coffee & milk also provided. Really good kitchen facilities in a couple of locations, plenty of fridge space, utensils etc.
En-suite had wet-room flooring with a drain for the shower, water encroached over whole floor. So some care needed when using to avoid slipping. Bath mat provided but this soaked quickly.

Very quiet and peaceful, on the outskirts of the city. Good facilities, clean kitchen and toilets/bathrooms. Comfortable beds (I booked in the dorm).
There was a bit of a smell in the dorm and I couldn’t determine if it was due to humidity, or because of the other guest… or maybe both (he did leave his mess quite in the open: empty food packaging, personal stuff, etc. everywhere)
