The property was in a really good spot, close to supermarkets, bars, food places, and shopping. It was nice and quiet, and the room was super spacious and peaceful. Loved that there was air con in the room, perfect for when it gets too hot or cold. The TV had Sky and loads of channels to pick from. There was even a small gym on-site and some handy laundry facilities too. The shower had good water pressure and temperature control.

The beds were really soft, which some people might like, but I found they didn’t offer much support. Parking on-site was good, but they should make it clearer on the advert before purchase that there’s an overnight charge. The carpet had a few stains and could use a carpet clean. I liked the encouragement to reuse towels, but it was a bit strange that there were no electric towel rails and only one hook on the bathroom door for hanging a towel.

I was in Dunedin for a week working as well as visiting my mother in hospital care and decided to stay at the Victoria at the end of my stay. I was was thrilled to be upgraded to a room with a desk and kitchenette, as well as a small balcony. The staff were super helpful in all my interactions with them, including when I needed to connect to the monitor in the lobby for work.

Not a huge deal, but I had to be careful with the shower over the bath, as it was easy to flood the floor. However, the cleaners were very obliging and gave me fresh towels to replace the wet ones promptly.

Location was great, right between the hospital and supermarkets. Staff were super friendly, I was able to check in earlier than I had even asked for originally and that was already last minute, room was nice and clean, shower was so nice and so glad there was hair caps and hair dryer available. After hours door was great. Was able to store my luggage after my stay until I left town later that afternoon. 10/10. I had a stressful visit to dunedin so was basically chain smoking and there was a nice little table with an ash tray which I was so happy with since I know smoking is kinda frowned upon

I just didn't realise there wouldn't be a microwave but that's my own bad for not checking ahead of time lol.

Overall, my stay at the Victoria Hotel was nothing short of fantastic and made what was an expected high stress trip, so much more bearable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Dunedin. I had an event in town and my heat pump failed the night before. I didn't want my bestie to freeze so looked for somewhere to stay in the centre. The Victoria delivered, at a very reasonable price. I often stayed there when out of town. Glad it's still maintained it's superlative service, comfort and facilities. Nobody could fault the location, and our event was just round the corner, so it was perfect for a last minute city stay.

The Victoria consistently offers warm, clean and comfortable accommodation, and the staff are excellently approachable and helpful. The location is perfect for Dunedin Cbd and the main hospital is 5 mins walk away, where we had an appointment. We loved being able to park the car and walk to everything we needed.

I liked it all, I suppose the only thing for us, as a family, would have been a normal sized kettle in the room, as we had 3 people in the room and we had to keep boiling it as it was a tiny kettle. Also would be great if you know you are going to be making drinks, if at check in you could opt to change the horrible little pretend longlife milk cartons to a small bottle/jug of real milk. That would have been in keeping with the good quality of everything else the hotel offered. However, as I said, this is a tiny thing.

You have to pay $20 night to park on top of room cost which we weren't aware of prior to booking, the rooms and building were quite tired, its probably better to buy breakfast out as felt the buffet wasn't value for quality.

We booked a 2 day stay at the hotel. The locaton was just perfect. The rooms were clean and beds were sowarm n comfortable Also the staff were amazing from when we checked in to when we checked out.

I didnt like that the car i hired was scratched when it was parked there. I have now have to pay for a scratch that i didnt do. That was the only thing i didnt like
