The room was very quiet, the spa bath was great addition. The view was amazing. The bed was clean and comfortable. Good studio size room with lounge area and kitchenette. Didn’t have an oven but the stove and microwave was good for us. Accomodation is so expensive these days and this Room was very good value for money, would stay again.

Even though the motel has no smoking in the room policy, Guests are allowed to smoke on the small balcony space outside their rooms facing the view. Which is a shared area. one night we had someone next to us who smoked and we had to keep our sliding door and window shut otherwise the smoke would come into our room. Luckily they were only there for one night so the rest of our stay was fine. It would be good to have smoking and non smoking sections.

It was quiet, the motel was not full. It seemed the staff spaced the rooms to minimize having an immediate neighbor. The staff seemed pleased to assist with requests. Our online comparisons suggested it was a good value, 3 star type accommodation. The rooms were as advertised. The carpet and couch were obviously well used but probably clean. We liked having clean towels each day and the rubbish taken out.

It felt a little dingy bearing in mind we spent longer indoors than we usually would due to the weather and an injury.

This was a nice motel in a very handy location for all touristy activities. The room was large and had basic cooking facilities (hob, kettle, toaster, microwave) which were handy. We also enjoyed the restaurant Betsey Jane nearby. The view from the room was beautiful and it was nice to have access to the garden and outdoor seating.

It was all about the view! Amazing! Was so wonderful to wake up and lie in bed with a cup of tea watching the sunrise over Mount Cook! But the room itself was clean and modern and well equipped…very comfortable. Just what I needed after several nights camping. The owners were very helpful, helping me to do my washing after I checked out and whilst I went for a walk around Lake Matheson. All in all a great choice!

The room was beautiful and comfortable, with a stunning view of the glacier right from the window. The location is excellent—just a short drive from Lake Matheson and other nearby attractions. There was plenty of parking available, which made things even more convenient. The kitchen was fully equipped, making it easy to prepare meals. Overall, a very enjoyable and relaxing stay.

Spectacular view and a good location. A bubble bath was nice to relax after a long day walking. There were a heater and a fan to keep you warm n cool you down.

Musty bathroom (no fan extractor), Bed is a bit soft. It requires a kitchen towel that could absorb more water to dry dishes better or leave them dry on a rack before you leave. No kitchen extractor fan, so you may cook simple foods. Open the front & back doors, and windows instead. Be aware the night time insects, pls close the windows n doors before dark, especially Sandfies !!

Such a great place to stay in Fox Glacier! The staff at reception were super friendly and helpful – really made us feel welcome. Our room was clean, nicely set up, and super warm, which was just what we needed after a cold day out. It’s also really close to the town and Lake Matheson, so the location was perfect. Would definitely stay again!

Nice 2 bedroom configuration, ideal for our group and not on the main highway.(not that it was busy). Staff recomended the Cook Saddle Cafe & Saloon, where we had the best rib eye in our entire NZ holiday and we had a few.

No fixed heater in the twin room. Water pressure in the shower was low (a common theme throughout our NZ trip.). Poor weather meant that the glacier views were non existant but that's the chance you take holidaying in Winter in the South Island.

Stayed 4 nights. Such a very lovely friendly welcome, super helpful. The ever changing mountain view from our room was hard to leave behind, so enjoyed just sitting outside after a day's activities with a glass of wine, watching the changing scenes, the bird life and the visits from the such healthy looking cute two chickens and a quiet Cockerell, what a delight and bonus. We wish we could have stayed longer, but a hug from 'mum' when we said goodbye set us nicely on our way.....we have a feeling that we will be back.

Beautiful room, clean, well appointed, new furnishings, comfortable bed, beautiful mountain view, good kitchen area, big TV (not that we watched it- all channels were rubbish), very comfortable, large motel suite

COLD!!! And heating a large area with a 4 bar oil heater didn't cut it. It needs decent heating that heats the room. We laid in bed with the electric blanket on to keep warm
