This was lovely and clean, not a new place, but everything for a few days away. Very close to the hot pools and town - just a short walk across the main road. Beds were very comfortable and we loved the electric blankets during this cold spell. Lovely lady on reception/maybe the owner, had the room lovely and warm on arrival and was very helpful with maps and where to go, what to do, with children etc.

Nothing really. It is an older style with single glazing, but staff came around each morning to clear windows of condensation and stock up with any needs etc.

The Spa Lodge is very comfortable, well positioned, with a naturally friendly manager who goes out of her way to make you comfortable. The cooking facilities are extremely handy for light meals, and if you don't want to cook there are plenty of cafes within a short walk. The proximity to the thermal pools is also a bonus, with pool towels provided by Spa Lodge Motel, so you don't have to pay for them at the pool.

Nothing could have been better with the stay. My only complaint is not related to the Motel, but to the price of entry to the thermal pools. Maybe all Hanmer Springs accommodation providers could work with the pool operators to negotiate some decent packages.

Great location. Friendly staff. Clean and comfortable. I appreciated the efforts to be environmentally friendly - re-fillable jars of coffee etc rather than single use packs, a bin for compostable waste etc. The apartment was warm when we arrived, and was spacious.

The stairs up to the apartment were frosty in the morning - could be tricky for anyone who isn't completely steady on their feet. The heat-pump was right ouside the bedroom window, which was a little noisy, but tolerable. I was aware of noise from surrounding apartments, though I don't think this was significantly different from most other motels I've stayed in.

This accommodation had everything we consider important in a stay - quality, comfortable bed, great shower, spacious and well equipped kitchen and living, a bit of retro character, hooks and hangers, outdoor seating. Excellent quiet location but walking distance to everything and very friendly and helpful owner. We were even there at the right time for a bowl of freshly picked raspberries - magic! They were also obviously sustainably minded - even a down to a compost bin.

Quiet motel set back from road in a lovely setting. Can park outside the door. Very warm welcome and map given with excellent explanation of township and surrounding walks to do. Given extra towels to take to the hot springs in a carry bag. Bed and pillows extremely comfortable. Great to have blackout curtains. Good size unit with everything you need. Lots of seating available. Soft fluffy face cloths and towels and a makeup one provided as well.

No bathroom heater or power point. Guest laundry is not open till 10am and last load has to be loaded at 6pm, to be finished at 7pm. Only one washing machine and dryer available for guest use. However, the owner opened the laundry at 9am for us as we had to checkout by 10am.

Loved being so close to town, short walk to the towns hot pools and CBD, Simone was amazing and assisted with all our needs. Having a family reunion and utilizing two units, made the setup work like a dream. The units had everything you could think of and Simone was just quick to assist if we needed anything else, like extra towels for the pools. She just went above and beyond.

We loved it all, and will be back again when we visit Hanmer Springs.

Spa Lodge Motel was in beautiful surroundings and also within very close walking distance of the Hamer Springs Spa Pools and town centre. It was such a treat to sit on the balcony at any time of the day and enjoy the beautiful surroundings and view. An absolute wonderful place to stay. My friend and I would also like to say that even though the motel has slightly dated decor, we found it to be the cleanest place that either of us had ever stayed in, and we are both seasoned travellers. Thank you so much to the owner operators, who strive to make Spa Lodge Motel a special place to stay.

Location to town and the pool were a quick few minute walk. Great accommodation the staff were thoughtful and turned the heat pump on for us and also filled the water jug and put it in the fridge really nice touch and made us feel welcome. Kitchen was well stocked including pepper and salt.

The water pressure was good everywhere but the shower. Shower head needs an upgrade.

This was a great tidy and clean unit that was perfect for our quick stay in Hanmer. It was close to the main street and hot pools and had plenty of parking. The staff was lovely, and it was great having a little kitchen to use.

The unit next to us kept smoking right outside their unit which meant we got a lot of smoke coming into our unit or we had to keep the door and windows closed to stop it coming in, which was a bit unfair on us and I feel the outside should be smoke-free as there is a smoking area further away that can be used.

The location of the motel is fabulous, super close to the Hot Pools. The buildings are very basic and old, but well maintained and super clean.

We were lucky the other guests were quiet. The buildings are quite old, so the contact sounds from the staircase and adjoining rooms have the potential to be very loud.
