Excellent stay, the room was lovely and we had a fantastic time. Food was amazing, the cheese platter was worthwhile getting although not enough crackers for the amount of cheese provided. Amazing pressure in the shower. Had a sauna in the spa with instructions on how to use.

Didn’t realise you had to drive down a gravel road to get there, although was well maintained. Shower leaked all over the bathroom floor but there was a drain on the floor. Outside of the rooms in the hallways were freezing cold and the lift seemed a bit dodgy and made weird noises and clunked a bit.

Lovely hotel in beautiful countryside, we had an outside spa suite which was amazing and the room was huge. Great facilities and good breakfast. Hanmer Springs is an amazing Alpine village with so many cafes, lovely walks and amazing views

The hotel is at the top of a hill only accessible via a winding gravel road, there's nothing else around unless you drive 15 minutes into Hanmer Springs town centre, so ideal if your looking for a very quiet getaway. Given it's 5 star rating and considering it was Easter holidays it seemed like they were understaffed as service could have been better

Braemar Lodge is a good place to stay for a mini honeymoon type vacation. Don't miss out on adding the breakfast, it is good value for money as it has lots of real fresh food like eggs bacon, mushrooms beans and potatoes plus salads and cereals. The spa bath and pool are a must as you can enjoy the view both in cold and warm days. Bed is so comfy, everything is clean and well organized. Room is being serviced everyday. And the location is just 15mins away from main Hanmer Springs. The view is amazing. Look at my attached photo.

We we're planning to book a massage in our room but it wasn't available at that time but it was understandable. The road to the lodge is rocky but its not really the lodge's fault.

Such a beautiful hotel and location! Will definitely be coming back to stay. The room is massive with such amazing additions, views of snow covered mountains and spa. Buffet was delicious. Only things I would say was - we ordered room service both nights, the first night it wasn’t very warm and the portions are quite small for how expensive it is ($48 for a chicken Caesar salad) - every meal is $40+. The fire in the room is amazing! But we stayed with our 16 month old and there wasn’t a fire guard available so couldn’t use it as the glass gets very hot. Ultimately an amazing stay, we extended our stay as we loved it so much 😊

The lodge is in a beautiful setting along a gravel road about 5 minutes drive from Hanmer township. The room is very large and well appointed with bed, lounge area with fire and a small dining table.

On arrival there were no staff to greet us at reception and instead the paperwork was left with instruction to find our room. I would prefer to be greeted by a person and the instructions were wrong. The spa pool on the deck was far too hot to use and the water was brown (I assume from the well but would be nice if it was explained). Bed was a bit squishy for my liking

The room was huge it had so much space and was quiet, we couldn't hear other guests, etc. Large comfortable bed Heat pump and gas fire for warmth The spa bath was excellent. The Epsom salt lavender pouch was a lovely touch Double shower with excellent water pressure Beautiful views Convenient parking

The outside spa was outdated, only had jets working on one side, half the buttons were broken, was luke warm, and wouldn't heat up. Wasn't worth paying extra for. There were cigarette butts all through the garden in front of our room. Marble floors are very slippery when wet and don't dry fast. Larger bath mats would be good. Not suitable for young kids The narrow road up had potholes that needed filling

Needs a bit of a maintenance overhaul, patch in bathroom that was plastered and not painted, jets on spa bath didn’t work, cob webs on outside or some windows, a little tatty around some parts. Bar being open to buy a drink and have a social area we would have enjoyed. Overall we loved our stay and were very comfortable, just a few things that could make it all even better!!!!

Lovely big warm room with indoor and outdoor spa. Lovely ambiance. TV has all the channels. Shower and bathroom great. Comfortable large bed with dressing gowns etc. Breakfast very good and staff friendly and accommodating. Clean and tidy. All facilities of a high spec.

A couple of minor things in room faulty, one fixed when we were there. grounds could be a bit tidier. We had dinner and the meat and seasonal vegies were very nice but an improvement would be to increase the offerrings of vegetables which would leave guests more satisfied and this would cost them very little. It just fell a little short there. But overall it was an excellent facility

It seemed to need a bit of maintenance I.e the tap on the spa bath needed reattached and fresh coat of paint near spa pool outside but in general really good.

More to do with the food I had being cold or lukewarm warm, the eggs at breakfast and my potato’s I had with my herb chicken. This needs to be worked on and not up to my expectations for the price I paid. I was very disappointed that the buffet breakfast had changed to no buffet hot food. I couldn’t get hold of the restaurant on the second night to order room service and had to resort to ringing the after hours number to get someone to get hold of the kitchen. Hence then needing to wait a long period of time to get my dinner rather than the desired time I wanted.

The size of the room was amazing , the bed was super warm and comfterble and the staff were so lovely. Breakfast was absolutely beautiful. Location as great far enough away for peace yet not to far to travel for attractions and shops ect

The shower pressure was average to say the least , we decided not to use the outdoor spa (the reason we booked the braemar) as the water smelt un sanitary with an awful odor , im unsure how often the water gets changed due to this, We were actually here to asses weither it would be an adequate location for an event later in the year ,
