Close to Surrey Park (we were attending a softball tournament). Other guests were quiet (there was one team staying there). The owners were nice.

We discovered that we had paid for 4 days, not 5 days, and were informed later the afternoon when the motel thought we should have checked out. Granted, they did try to contact us, but we were too involved with the tournament. It would have been helpful during check-in to confirm the days we were staying, as this would have alerted us that we had only paid for 4 days. We may have checked out on the 4th day deciding to stay in another town to reduce our travel time back to Christchurch. It was later in the day (after 3 pm) when we found out that we had made an error, so I felt obliged to pay an extra night, which exceeded our budget. I accept this was my error, but that one action would have allowed me to consider or options.

Paul is an incredible host. We enjoyed a warm friendly welcome. The motel is conveniently located close to the city. The room was spacious, clean with modern furnishings and a nice kitchen. The beds are very comfortable and we had a good night's sleep without any disturbances. The customer service at this motel is 5 star. Paul kindly helped us when our rental car broke down on arrival in Invercargill. Paul made sure the rental company fulfilled their obligations in replacing our car and that everything was done right for us when the tow truck driver arrived from Queenstown. We are very grateful to Paul for going the extra mile for us.

Friendly owner, spotless rooms, comfy and warm! Especially on the rainy night we had here. Stoked get here after travelling all day to be greeted with such a warm welcome from a good kiwi bloke. Even called us when we left some things in the fridge once we had left in the morning incase we were near by to pop back in and grab them. Top notch bloke. We will be back! This is now our go to in the area for accommodation. Thank you very much.

Nothing! All was perfect

Surprisingly spacious modern room, large ensuite and we'll equipped kitchenette. Very clean.Easy, clear instructions for use of items to keep the room in good order. Nice and warm.And easy to find location. Very straightforward check in and check out.The staff were lovely.

Unstable Internet.The bed was a bit soft for us.We could hear the neighbour, a smoker who kept coughing,hawking and spitting during the night- he also got up at 5am and had a loud conversation with someone right outside, then started his truck and left it running for 10-15 minutes before leaving.

The room was super cozy and warm on such a chilly night. Also really liked how the spare bed was an actual bed and not just a pull-out couch like other places. The room was spacious and had everything you could possibly need. Everything was so clean. Paul was so understanding and kind (I had arrived later than expected and then I forgot something at the room and he rang me quickly to let me know) and even offered us an ice scraper for the car windscreen in the morning. I appreciated the little things like the Fair Trade coffee and hot chocolate. Exceptional value for money--would definitely recommend.

Honestly can't think of anything negative or what I'd improve. It was a lovely place.

A really considerate welcome ensuring what turned out to be extremely comfortable accommodation would be more than suitable for us as my wife has a disability; extraordinary care and attention. Great help with local knowledge of sights and restaurants which was greatly appreciated. Invercargill initially gives the appearance of a mostly industrial town, but we felt determined to reach the southernmost point, having started our New Zealand adventure in Auckland, travelling all the way down to Bluff in a hire car. We took a trip in our hire car from Invercargill east along the coast looping down through Waipapa Point, Slope Point and Curio Bay. This was magnificent and new style scenery for our New Zealand adventure with stunning coastline and extraordinary bays. Sadly, no sightings of seals or penguins, but scenery was brilliant. It’s always the little extras that help, influence and show that a Motel is really trying to help its customers. With Moana Court it was supplying extension leads and proper bath mat sized towels which were a brilliant touch. Also, respected our decision to waive daily service but replaced tea/coffee/milk.

We loved our stay at the Moana Court Motel and would definitely recommend to others. The staff were friendly and the room was just what we were after for a quick visit down south. Even though the motel is on a main road traffic at night was quite and we didn’t hear a thing from our room. There was tea/coffee/milk/sugar provided which was also ideal before we headed out for breaky.

Location is close to ILT stadium and Transport World which is where my conference was. Very cosy and clean room. The heater worked wonderfully. Free Netflix and Wifi. Uber eats available if you don't have a vehicle. Owner was very helpful and friendly and they had the heater on before I arrived so the room was warm.

Everything. Also super cute how consideration they were for the dogs by leaving a little treat bowl for them. They were also very generous with the milk provided and love that they are eco friendly and their tea / coffee is fair trade. Beds were SOOOOOO comfy and loved also that each child could have a snuggly blanket to go on the bed for the evening.

Very pleasant motel stay. It is great to have a clean place to stay. Very comfortable. Easy access and location.

During a 3 night stay, the bed was not made up each day like at other motels. However this was a minor difference as overall it was a very nice place to stay. The owner was friendly and it was lovely to have his dogs visit.
